Scam. Despite what their website states "shipping charges are not refundable unless the return is due to our mistake. " They sent a part that didn't fit but won't admit it. DON'T BUY Anything from them!

Did not receive a part in the mail. Took six weeks for the second part to be delivered. It was damaged. And in a resealed box. They knew it was damaged. Lousy customer service. If you receive a defective part it will take forever to exchange. You may save a few dollars but it's better to deal with a parts store down the street that you can get a new part in mediately under warranty. Read all the reviews on all the websites. It is all true. They call their customers Liars

Wiper motor blues

Have a 1990 gmc 1500 truck needs a pulse wiper motor all there listing are WRONG 88/90 wrong / y is there no listing get to buy used this wiper has no board they should say that in the index so you dont get coned on a wiper that is very wrong

I have used them many times. Everything is fine until a part fails. There is no way to contact the company or speak to a person- no email, no phone number, no chat. After one year, a front shock/strut assembly failed. It was still under warranty, but my only option was to buy a new one (the exact same part), and ship the old one back hoping they would actually deem it failed. First, I have no interest in buying the exact same part again and risk another failure. Secondly, after paying shipping on the new part and shipping on sending the old one back, I would only receive a fraction of what I initially paid for the part. No thanks. Lesson learned. I'll cut my losses and won't be using RockAuto again.

I've purchased parts from Rock auto many times I am a auto repair shop owner Senior master ASE techI purchased a front driveshaft for a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Installed it and felt slight vibration I hoped it would become less as constant velocity joints broke in Two weeks later Jeep towed in for severe vibration and noise I removed drive shaft and inspected it by removing grease cap Zero Zero grease in both joints horrible quality control The worst part is I had to order new driveshaft from dealer because customer couldn't wait a week for replacement Guess what Rock auto rip off doesn't give money back no matter what just a replacement junk part again So I'm out $289 for there junk driveshaft plus towing grand total after having to buy another drive shft I'm out $1148 because there junk parts To say the least I'll never ever buy from them again

Recieved a starter motor 85mm diameter for my car which has a 65 mm opening. The site told me the part was compatible. And according to their (fully automated, no calls or email) return form, they are not at fault and are pushing blame to their supplier. But making me pay the cost of outbound shipping. Again, their website "guaranteed" fitment. Absolutely ridiculous in 2022 a company policy like this exists. Chat support is not expensive and RockAuto prices are NOT competitive enough to justify the reduced support. After years as a customer (20) I have no qualms jumping ship over this BS.

Their website was great with pictures and a list of part numbers (and alternative numbers). The part arrived in the time specified and fit perfectly. This alternator was $100 less (even with the shipping) than the parts stores in my area.

$290.00 for $20.00 in parts

Fedex wouldn't deliver to my address, which is a p. O box. Fedex also wouldn't hold the package for me to pick up, stating "rockauto has given them explicit instructions to return all packages with a problem address. I was told I can only change the shipping address by contacting rock auto. I was not able to reach anyone before the order was returned, at was informed by rock auto I won't recieve a refund, because shipping cost more then tje parts are worth. Somehow a couple packages did make it through to my p. O. box 2 window sweepers, and an oil pressure sensor... $300.00 dollars. Obviously FEDEX could have simply held the pakage, but rock auto was completely unreachable. Not worth the gamble if you pick up your mail at a canada post p. O. box.

Worst online shopping experience of my life!

When your part does not show up you go on to their website to try and contact customer service which is a complete joke. They will not respond when you try to find a phone number to contact the person you will find out their customer service is entirely online based. When you try to find your order or your part by putting in your order number or your email the website runs you around in a big circle and after talking to friends and other auto businesses around here you'll be lucky to receive your part and a few months if you receive it at all I will never buy from them again!

Never again will I spend a 1$ with Rockauto!
This is the second time they just deny you a warranty exchange. I get parts and they're defective, you ask for exchange and they tell you sorry nope! I even tried to get the warranty specifics and they won't even give you that. This customer service lady said she would
Give my info to manager he would contact me. I kept asking so it says limited lifetime warranty so what is the warranty specifics. Nope nothing. I've spent alottttttttt of money on here, but now this is last straw. Thanks but I will certainly be taking my money else where! Because surely aren't the only online place to buy parts! Wouldn't even give 1 start

Bad parts

Never pay extra for expedited shipping

Great price for the part. Needed the part now so paid $12.99 extra for FedEx to deliver this past Monday. Part arrived Thursday. No customer service since everything is done by phone. No refund even remotely possible because they do no believe in customer service! Get your shipment by USPS. It will het to you sooner. This experience really sucked.

Rock Auto? AKA Rip Off Auto

Rock Auto sent a red tinted taillight for my Tacoma truck. The plastic cover should have been clear but it was bright red. Obviously did not match. So I sent it back, paid shipping charges for second time and received a credit.
Tried again, ordered one that cost more and was pictured and described as having a clear plastic cover. Was very upset when I received the exact same taillight - red plastic cover and all! No way to call them - they do NOT have a phone. Emails are answered by a computer NOT a person. I cannot even find out if they have the correct part! Have reported them to the BBB and am working on trying to get them to send me the correct part - IF they even have it. Unable to even talk to anyone there.
IF they are even run by people - No one knows…
All they keep doing is referring me to their "help" page and telling me to return the item again! THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER AND THE EMAILS ARE ANSWERED BY A COMPUTER!

USED PARTS SENT

Ordered a MAF sensor. Needed it quick. Sent Denso, open box, resealed non-hem bag inside with label that said "not returnable if opened". A closer look revealed screw head marks on the part. Had been previously installed. Even had a label on the box that said, "1 of 12" from the previous ship out. They eventually sent a new one, but I certainly didn't get the part in time. I'll never again order from Rock Auto.

Think twice before you buy from rock auto!

I ordered wheel hub assembly, Monroe shock and struts and moog lower control arms with ball joints already pressed. I received the shock and struts opened the box and on of the boxes was soaked in oil. The strut had oil running down it the boot was shoved up into the top of the strut. Then I opened the lower control arms and the right one looked great. The left one the box looked like it had already been returned once. Once I got the left lower control arm out by the ball joint it looked like someone took a grinding wheel and cut a chunk out of the control arm it was trash. I ordered all my other stuff from car parts.com and I haven't had a single problem and everything looks great and well packaged. Rock auto is the goodwill of car parts. They have a pallet of good parts and a pallet of bad parts they ship you one good and one bad hoping your stupid enough to use their junk. 100% won't be using them again.

First it was a broken header panel, then it was a power brake booster. The only way to get a warranty return is to buy a new part, pay for shipping again AND pay for return shipping of the defective part. NEVER AGAIN ROCKATUO. They also have ZERO contact information so you have absolutely no recourse. Talk about taking it up the tailpipe.

Rock Auto Order Confirmation Order #******* Ordered 08-03-2022,
This will be the last time for to use your service sorry to say. Reason your Warehouse is 2-2 1/2 hours from my home and it takes you 8 days to get a package to me. Bad, Bad Bad. I will just use a local supplier now since your pricing is not much better than the parts store but I can have required items within hours verses days.
