I ordered a set of brake pads and rotors. This happened and I never opened the box until today. There were 2 rotors and a box for the brake pads but the box was empty. Tried to reach out to RockAuto but their message it I'm too late the 30 day window to complain is closed. Bad on me for now opening the package for a few weeks. I was past the 30 day mark so they get away with ripping me off. Whoever packed the shipment is not too bright as box of brake pads should weigh a few pounds. Maybe they took the pads for themselves? $58.80 worth of pads.

Parts never got to me,stuff was shipped back to rockauto but still they refuse to refund my money,im glad they have money to throw away,they need a customer service number instead of trying to fix things on line.WILL NEVER BUY FROM ROCK AUTO AGAIN!

Thought I ordered the correct parts

Thought I ordered the correct parts, but the front rotors and pads are not correct Tried to return the parts but they wanted a restocking fee and I would have to pay shipping wasted $145.03.
No customer service to speak with to confirm the correct parts or fix issues
Like all the other auto parts vendors or ebay or Amazon

I will never purchase from RA again

What good is a good price and good service if your product does not arrive when promised. And then in the end is that really good service? As I appreciate it is not Rock Auto's fault because they use a third-party for shipping, it surely should not be my fault, but has become my problem. I paid for expedited shipping so I could have the parts when I need them, and watching my parts travel around the world brings me absolutely no satisfaction. In the end, it cost me more time and money because I can't drive around with bad brakes, and because of incompetent delivery services and I am forced to pay a premium price for the products at a local Parts Store. So in the end, I am paying more than if I would have, if I had not tried to save a little money with Rock Auto, because I have paid the premium price at the local automotive parts store and still do not have my order. So, I am either stuck with an extra set of brakes, which I don't need, or, because Rock Auto does not guarantee delivery, I can mark that I "do not want them" and pay return freight on top of the expedited freight and then the discounted parts will have cost me three times their value, and one and a half times the price that I got payed at the local Auto Parts Store. So in the end, the parts for my brake job cost me twice as much as they should have, if I had only just gone to the local parts store and called it a day. Pretty much not worth the trouble trying to save money with RockAuto. And if you want to add on top of that, Rock Auto does not guarantee their parts, well, you could be on another no return ride. Very disappointing.

Returned parts to them and have been two months trying to get my refund now they refunded only 241.97 of the 400.15 I paid for my order. Because I wouldn't drop trying to get the rest of my money refunded they are now saying all the parts weren't Returned, was also charged for shipping twice. This company seems to be nothing more than a bunch of crooks ripping off people. My first and last time dealing with this trash company

Run away from these a**holes

NEVER again. Completely void of customer service and proven lousy junk parts. Steer completely clear of these thieves. If you want an example I got one. My vehicle needed a front propeller shaft. I replaced these a few times in my Jeeps because the $#*! parts you get from China and the same parts greedy rockAuto sells you. I splurged on this shaft and bought a brand name which cost about 60% more and also has lifetime warranty. When this part arrived ("brand name") I obviously checked it out and there was not a lick of grease on the inner shaft, and just a blob on the CV joints. They have no telephone number and no customer service so I tried to send an email questioning the amount of grease, and the grinding of both CV joints. I got no response. I had to install it anyway because it was all I had. I sent an email again, when the part failed after 8 months of grinding and whiriing, and of course I get a response that said I needed to contact them 30 days after my purchase? FO They basically stole $400 from me. I feel it's everyone's civic duty to warn people of snake oil salesmen.
Another unaccountable entity above the law.

Fraudulent shipping system

Their ordering system is ridiculous. I ordered three parts and needed them fast. When you go to checkout, you select shipping by date only. So I selected next day business shipping. When I saw only half my items were coming next day, I emailed to ask what is going on. They said that shipping is actually by part and I only selected express for the half of my parts. However, this is completely misleading because there is no way to select shipping for each part, only by date. Why would I think I selected express shipping for only one part when there is only one option for all three parts in the first place? I continued to press on in my email thread and they just closed the ticket without saying anything. Terrible company!

First bad experience I waited 6 weeks, never got the parts and had to cancel the order. Waited 4 weeks for the refund. Thought I'd give them a second chance and it's now been 3 weeks. Why won't they just ship the order?

I hesitated to purchase from here due to the many bad reviews, but I didn't need anything significant, so I pulled the trigger. The prices were too good to pass on. Glad to report I got exactly what I ordered and promptly. I placed my order Monday morning, and the site said it would be here Wednesday (two days later), which worked for me as I was out of town. To my surprise, it was delivered the very next morning. I just got home, and everything ordered was well packaged and correct. I just put the parts in my car, and everything fits as described.

My first Rock Auto purchase was a success, so I will be getting my parts from here in the foreseeable future. If you're considering RA but are thrown off by the bad reviews, I suggest experiencing it yourself and forming your own opinion. I did, and I'm glad I did. I no longer have to overpay for car parts.

I ordered a 150$ fuel pump and it came broken, I assume from shipping. I issued a refund and they almost immediately sent the money back, told me to buy another or try to fix it. Very happy.

Do not pay extra for expedited shipping! It costs 10+ dollars and aren't received on time. Then Rock charges you for a return shipping label. BEWARE.

I had purchased a set of brake pads and rotors, now this is not rock autos issue as fedex could not find the address which was a large corporate building. But of course to call fedex they push you to request what address was written on the package to rockauto and you cannot directly contact rockauto. Fedex could not complete the delivery allegedly and sent it back to rockauto. Then rockauto signs for my package at the return warehouse and tells me they delivered my package to me! Then to auto email me later saying they received my stuff at the warehouse and they dont know what to do with it

So i try to just refund my money and take my business elsewhere because i cant get ahold of anyone being bounced between a rockauto and fedex and i cannot complete my return of the brakepads as it says "this is no longer modifiable" so im backcharging my card and they can keep the parts. Amazons Akebono and Bosch stores were a few more dollars but i would never get the hassle i got here. I dont understand how you can receive my parts when on your site it says if received by the return warehouse they will issue the refund andyet contact me saying they dont know what to do and i cannot even finish my refund if i want to, and i do!

Maybe if there was a human to speak to I could resolve this.

Bad quailty, poor returns, no customer service

I ordered an axle, when I reciever and attempted to install I found the part was out of tolerance and would not fit. The manufacturer had somehow messed up the part and used the wrong end piece on it. I started the return and was denied because it was dirty. This is a very crooked company. Please do not use. You get the same quality on Amazon and easier returns there.

Bought an alternator and it was defective when I got it. There is no customer service to resolve problems.
If I realized you don't have customer service to help resolve problems. I would have purchased from someone else. Very disappointed my truck is down and I have no ride.

Parts arrived late and no cust serv

I ordered some parts last Friday and I paid for expedited shipping to receive all by Wednesday. The parts came from different places and shipping companies and as now Thursday 1:33 pm I am still waiting for some parts. They should refund at least a percent of the shipping as wasn't arrived on time like they said in the payment process and I lost my appointment that was for today at 9am. They have no customer service and when you select the parts to let them know that arrived late, they have an automatic response to keep the parts for later ‍‍no other option to ask for customer service representative or get a partial refund. 4/5 stars.

Purchased front breaks for my civic. They sent the right model number but wrong part was in the box. Tried to contact rock auto there customer support is a nightmare/non-existent.
Ordered break pads and routers. When they arrived it only had one router... That was my fault I guess. So I needed to purchase another one. Which I did before starting the job on my car... Started the job and they. Don't fit... Partly my fault for not confirming the right parts were in the right box... but man I'm not impressed. Will be buying local from now on... ROCK AUTO SUCKS AND SCREWED ME GOOD.

On or about November 13,2023, I ordered a cabin air filter and and an air filter online from RockAuto. Both parts arrived without issue but the air filter did not fit and was damaged green coloring scattered on it. Despite communications with RockAuto to ship me a new part, they could not guarantee I would receive the proper part if they sent it to me again, nor could they guarantee that I would not occur some sort of charge to return the part and be sent a new one. After several back and forths, they told me the 30 day window for refunds had expired. This window was never mentioned in any of the email correspondence nor on the product or delivery receipts. On Jan 2, I asked to be refunded for the $29.66 USD for the part and estimated shipping costs. RockAuto refused.
