Today was my first visit to the Scottsdale store on Mayo Blvd. It takes a lot to impress me but today Ryan my sales associate was fabulous. I ran through several tests to see what shoes worked best for my feet and needs. She was professional, through, patient and kind. Because of Ryan I will return to the store for future purchases. Ryan is an outstanding employee and she represents your company with a 5 star rating!
Be aware, when you purchase something they will automatically enroll you in a membership plan, save your credit card, upgrade you to the maximum membership fee, and charge you $99.99. This is all without your consent or knowledge. This seems to be a common practice, there are complains with BBB and a class action lawsuit. Very sneaky and deceitful company.

They rope you into a so-called VIP price savings membership plan... though after adding the membership savings part - their shoes end-up being no cheaper than what other retailers are charging. And then they don't let you cancel until you call and go through a long pitch; cancelling online is NOT possible. And they say promise to remove you from automatic renewal, though a year a later you realized that you weren't removed... at which point you've to call again for the long sales pitch. Worse, if you use just one penny of the membership points towards a purchase, then you're NOT allowed to cancel membership - stuck with it for another year. On another topic, there website search filters are very weak - half of the shoes that pop-up have no relation to your filters. And for the serious runners - note that it's not possible to search by drop.
Was sent the wrong pair of shoes both brand and size. Told to return to sender, so I did. I've called at least five times with no help with return. Don't buy into this guaranteed return policy. It's a myth. They do not support the customer. By the way I've been a 20 year customer that has seen a great company go down the toilet.
I've been buying shoes here for around a year. I run a lot, so I've already purchased several pairs for myself and husband. I'm currently in Northern Wisconsin and needed a new pair so I ordered a new brand to get shipped to me. I tried them on in the house and within the house immediately HATED them. I have since returned them and was first charged for return shipping (extremely annoying). Now, I'm being charged as the shoes are worn and they have "stains" on them. See picture below for the worn shoes with stains. Fortunately, running shoe stores are easy to come by in our area so I will be cancelling our membership and going elsewhere. A true membership allows you to walk around in your shoes and return them.

Very rude customer service. I will never buy from RRS again. Asked for a refund because I don't remember signing up for a membership when I purchased my shoes, let alone having a yearly fee. I was told I would receive a refund in 3-5 days and was hung up on by the rep. I will follow up with corporate and BBB if I am not given a refund.
Wish I had read the prior reviews. I received an email that my order was canceled, however never received my refund of the order. The site also stated free delivery and I was charged a $18 promotional fee is totally absurd, a total scam. Since no funds have been returned I will need to go through my bank as fraudulent. Make sure you check your profile and remove any card previously used, you will most likely be charged monthly $20 for being a VIP member. Everything about them is a total rip off to the consumer, and their product is probably most likely a fake. I highly doubt any positive reviews, and most likely someone with the company falsifying any positive reviews

They have a VIP membership which touts free shipping, so I assumed it also meant free shipping on returns. I searched their return policy and it sounds good, touting a 90-day "test run" and how they will make things right. Nowhere does it mention a return shipping fee, but it also doesn't explicitly mention free return shipping either. I became suspicious and called them and there is indeed a return shipping fee if you use their label, of nearly $10. I give them a 1-star rating for purposely hiding their return shipping. I found the same shoes on amazon for the same price or cheaper, but with FREE return shipping.
Roadrunner Sports signs buyers up for their subscription without obtaining approval. Then, they automatically renew each year, whether you want or not. It is an unethical practice and they train their customer service people to obfuscate and drag their feet about cancelation. Even when canceled, they will still try to renew year after year. It is a horrible company to deal with. Never buy from them: you will be enrolled into an unwanted subscription.

Don't buy; you will end up fighting a subscription forever.
The representative suggested I buy two pairs of shoes, a 10 1/2 and an 11 and return. The ones that I didn't like well neither of them fit because Altra changed how they make their shoes on and a half was too small. The 11 was too big I sent the shoes back, one month later I called them up because it always takes three weeks and she said it would take three weeks for the refund. I called him one month later like where is the money? I'm told I'm gonna get merchandise credit because it was Pet here on the shoes? I said prove it they said oh sorry it's been too long. We can't prove it. I said send me back my shoes then I'll sell them. They said oh we can't do that. We've already donated them, I would never buy another pair of shoes from these people never have I ever had this kind of an issue from any running shoe company ever I would buy your shoes and some other place

Wow. DO NOT BUY from this retailer. I placed an order and immediately received order details via email, as expected. Several weeks go by without communication. I called and spoke with a customer service rep who told me my order has been canceled. I never received any communication about this. Then she had the nerve to ask if I wanted to replace an order. NEVER AGAIN. Stay away from this company, far away!
Ordered a IN STOCK shoe and got an email conformation. Three weeks later, no shoes or communications. Call them to find out they canceled the order because the shoe was out of stock.

There is no way to cancel their membership that I didn't even sign up. I just shopped some stuff, and they made me the member. I attempted to call them five times. They always put me on hold forever until I gave up and hung up. This place is a total scam. There are class action lawsuit against them. I may need to join.

I ordered shoes as a Christmas present which were delivered on 12/15/21. I returned them 12/29 because they did not fit correctly - they were never used, just tried on. Roadrunner is refusing to refund my money

One of the WORST online ordering experiences I've ever had. Several days later, my shoes haven't shipped, and their customer service doesn't answer their phone or emails on the weekend,. When I contacted customer service Monday morning, I was told it would be a few more days before my shoes would ship because they have to come from the manufacturer - when I asked to cancel, I was told SORRY, can't do that, "it's out of our control". When I asked to speak to a manager, they left, came back & told me SORRY, the manager is "too busy", you can leave a message.
If I could give a ZERO review, I would! Utterly ridiculous that a 22 year veteran can not get a military discount when an individual that has been in 1 month, and is on active duty, can get a military discount. That is a slap in the face. I was even offering, to the management, that I would send my military retired ID card to show them. It's not even about the 10% discount, it makes NO sense. Our retirees have served to protect you and your company to exist. I could see if you do not offer a Military discount at all but separating active duty with 20 plus years retired is dumbfounding. Shame on you!

Apparently slipping their garbage VIP membership is automatically even if you specifically ask NOT to sign for it. What a bunch of crooks. These f@%%^ucks are sick and demented. $60 for a pair of soles? You've got to be kidding.

Don't have a problem with the store. However, have a problem with their deceiving tactics to add their garbage expensive VIP when I've specifically ask not to. Who in the right mind would accept monthly charges? Is anyone buying monthly shoes? Idiots.
Website was brutally painfully to navigate (ie. Broken links, bad scripts) and the final payoff: my gift card was rejected. Had to call, wait, wait, wait, wait, then discuss, and discuss, then send images, then wait, and wait, and ultimately gift card was re-issued. So, more waiting, and possibly again for nothing. How does this company still exist?
Only 3 mistakes on my last order
Wow, I've been a member of Road runner sports since 2008. This is how my recent order went. Tried ordering online, on a iPad, but the total price was not correct. Had to call in to place an order. RRS shipped the wrong size shoe (14 versus 11.5), in the wrong color, TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. How was this even possible. I don't remember RRS ever making this many mistakes.

Easy returns policy fails to mention they charge a return fee of $10. It isn't until you attempt to return or exchange that they decide to share this little tidbit with you. When you call to address with them it is clear they know they are duping customers.
They will not answer the phone. I tried to cancel the VIP service and was put on hold for 44 minutes. And before I could say a word they hung up on me. So I called the shoe store and someone did answer but when I said I wanted to cancel the VIP service he hung up on me. They hit my credit card, I guess I'm going to have to dispute it.
Terrible customer service. You will order one size and get another (did they really think a 10.5 was going to fit my 6.5 foot?). Then you won't be able to return it. That is $115.00 for running shoes I can't wear. I'm disgusted, really disgusted. Anybody want to buy some new in the box Women's HOKA ONE ONE RINCON 3 size 10.5?

Horrible experience with this company. I signed up for VIP to get free shipping and planned to cancel.
- Only way to cancel is to call them. Super long hold times.
- Realize a month after the shoes arrive that they sent me two different sizes. The right shoe was a larger size than the left.
- Called their customer service line and was on hold for 1.2 hours. Insanity!
- Finally reached someone and they told me I couldn't return because I had cancelled VIP.
- After getting very upset and explaining that it was THEIR fault for sending me the incorrect size shoes, they finally agreed to allow me to return.
- Once they get the return, I receive an email saying they are charging me $9.99 for return shipping.
- I call AGAIN to learn that not only that, they also aren't refunding me. I'm getting a store credit. And there were no notes explaining that it was their error from my first call so there's nothing they can do.
- I certainly don't want any credit at this horrible company and just want my money back. After insisting on speaking to the manager, they finally agree to refund my money.
Every single step of this was horrible. This company is the absolute worst.
I received a pair of shorts as a gift and went to the store to exchange for a different color. Same shorts. Same size. Just a different color. Because I didn't have a gift receipt I couldn't even exchange for a different color even though it was an even exchange. Spent 20 minutes on the phone and 20 minutes at the store and still no success. I'm not asking for money or store credit. Same shorts. Same size. Tags still attached. Not worn. Different color. How hard is that?
They put a hidden clause for their VIP membership. I emailed twice and never received an answer. I called and waited on the phone for 20 minutes they they cut me off. I made another phone call and finally got a person. I cancelled my membership and I will never buy any shoes from them again!
I know what shoes I like (Asics) and I will order them directly from Asics from now on.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I ordered a pair of Sauconys. Wore them only in the house a handful of times and returned them to the site welk within the eligible time frame. They were sent back to me, and I was denied my refund. Please tell me what is wrong with these shoes?
