Road Runner Auto Transport

Communication was not great. I continued to receive emails about booking a car shipment after I already booked. I did not hear from RoadRunner as my pick up date approached, so I had to reach out. Once we had a pick up date, RoadRunner initially wanted me to drive the car 10 miles from my home, which would have been extremely inconvenient, and not what was agreed to (door to door pickup and delivery). We eventually agreed to a place a mile and a half from my home, which was acceptable. After the pickup, communication improved. When the carrier had a breakdown, RoadRunner reached out about whether I wanted to them to find another carrier (yes, of course). They initially said the new delivery would be five days later, which I strongly objected to, and then they found a substitute carrier to deliver it on time. The delivery did take place as finally discussed.

Unfortunately, I'll never recommend them to anyone.

We had a tight schedule so planned the transport a month in advance and was informed the day of that they couldn't get to us.

Trying to reach anyone to help via phone was next to impossible as I only got a recording.

Just disappointed after reading the prior reviews. So if you have to have it picked up on a certain day, they aren't the ones to use.

Overall communication could be better throughout the process regarding pick up time and delivery. Pick up date got pushed back a week. More precise pickup window would be beneficial to customers.

last time i used this service i shipped a truck and it was 150.00 cheaper I'm shipping a car and its more expensive is my only complaint..

In the contract or over phone conversation never elaborated the payment arrangement other than the full price of shipment.

Very straight forward booking. Simple. Multiple transport and insurance options.

Roadrunner experienced a 2+ week delay in pickup time. After several online contacts, a service person explained that this was due to shutdowns related to the Covid pandemic and the lack of available drivers. This information should have been made available initially.

Once a driver was assigned, however, things went smoothly and my vehicle arrived in good shape. Fortunately, my delivery was not time-critical.

Returning customer! Happy to use your services again! Unfortunately, my lights were left on at some point in the many transfers and my battery rendered useless. The man jump started my car twice trying to get it off his truck and insisted that this is normal and my battery was bad. It was less than 6 months old and transport was a mere 3 days. When the customer service person called to ensure I received my vehicle, I let her know about the issue and she said someone would follow up since I paid out of pocket for a new battery. No one ever called back.

Had to deal with company owner who was very nice...but the truck the car was being transported on was involved in an accident with another truck and the car received almost $2000 in damages. It was taken care of... but the 55 inch tv in the trunk (where the trucks collided) was broken and they would not replace.... so not only was I out the transit money but had to be without the car for 4 days (they did cover the cost of a rental), and had to replace the tv out of pocket. The car was in the process of being moved from Cali to S. Carolina.

I wish I can talk to a live representative as I would like to clarify some questions I have on the Insurance part of the transaction. I've been unable to get through to anybody in the last 24 hours & thats a matter of concern since in the estimate yiu had the wrong dates & i wanted to make sure that all the information provided has been accurate.

Communication could have been better. Both from Roadrunner prior to the pick up and during the delivery from the trucker. At one point he told me that he would be here on Friday evening and when he didn't show I called only to learn he was still 2 states over, forgot to let me know.

so far so good. But, I had no idea when my vehicle would arrive and it was three days after what was scheduled. couldnt contact driver, couldnt get any response until about 1 hour before it arrived. Luckily we wee home.

Website would refresh to correct order and phone number at primary location differed. Would reset when changed

The last time I worked with road runner was better than this time. The driver would frequently say one thing and then change it, which isnt terrible, but when the service last time was so spectacular it really stands out. It also probably has to do with the current state of things and how stressed people are. That being said, this was good with no damage on my car and a quick transport. If the service is needed again I will contact roadrunner in the future. Thank you and enjoy your day :)

Booking a shipment with Roadrunner was very simple and their representatives are very quick to follow up with you and schedule a shipment. However, the contractor Roadrunner used completely shattered the back windshield of my vehicle. As I realize this was on the contractor and not necessarily on Roadrunner, it was still unfortunate and frustrating.

Too much follow up... then when I spoke to a customer agent I asked for an email quote and didn't receive it.

More expensive than other carriers from which I got quotes, and I'm sad to see the 3% fee for credit card payment, but hopefully my car will get to me in the specified time period safely.

awful, quoted 668.00, five days later then it was 795.00, and i could just kiss off. i have customers and schedules to. i could not have been jerked around anymore if i tried. i now the lies will come. i will never uses these people again. kent adsit

I contracted through Roadrunner Auto Transport for car transport state-to-state. Communication during the process left something to be desired. The online tracking website was not up-to-date and we were left in the dark regarding the actual pickup and delivery dates. The transport driver did not give a call with the lead-time we were expecting which caused unnecessary turmoil at both pick-up and delivery times. Ultimately, the auto was delivered successfully and for that we are happy.

very easy and Mynor was very helpful at the start. Transporter showed up with equipment that didn't work and with a different name that the one I was given by Road Runner. Myself and 3 neighbors had to load the vehicle the driver only guide us so we were centered on transporter. The winch didn't work we had to use tow ropes hooked to a bumper hitch of a car to pull the car on the trailer. The driver acted like it was my fault because his winch didn't work and he had no idea what to do. Call Road Runner they said they where a broker and it was the transporter's problem. I was reconmended to Road Runner by one of my best friends that owns a Ford dealership. I will inform him about the issues I had.

The car was picked up very late at night (10.30pm) even after repeatedly reassuring me it will be picked up in daylight. The service provider then gets to say that they were not able to inspect the car for any previous dents, etc, because of bad lighting. When I protested, I was told the next pickup date would be 3 days later and I couldn't afford to wait. Also, when the driver loaded the car on the upper level of the truck, the muffler at the back rubbed against the road (very loudly) because of the high angle of the ramp. Again, the driver blamed it on bad lighting. He wasn't even sorry about it. I don't recommend using this company.

Delivery update - My vehicle was received over a week late. I was told this was due to a breakdown of the moving vehicle. My vehicle was also received with scratches and rub marks from trees. Roadrunner Auto Transport told me his drivers did not drive under trees. However there were broken branches in the bed of my truck.
