“Top radio show that networks with Reverbnation”

h j.
2/23/24

My name is Halshack! I'm NOT here to defend the company. It appears you folks have all had a terrible experience with the company. For that I'm terribly sorry. I don't WORK for the company nor am I under any kind of monetary arrangement. I was approached by Lou Plaia the original owner and co founder of the company back in Nov 2020 asking me if wanted to be a part of their opportunities network offering radio play for their membership. I have IN FACT done that but I'm very strict about who's allowed on the show. I come from a major label background as well as my partners so we look for only the most top quality talent. II take in about 1 to 3% sometimes more of who submits. Yes there is a canned letter that goes out to all that are denied that comes through the system. I get 1000 to 2000 submissions per campaign. Ive completed 8 successful campaigns through the company and have even scored a song from a band who did a collab with Eminem and one of his close friends Swifty Mcvay with Disaster Theory all worked on a track called Overcome. That was submitted to me under Reverbnation. Ive been working with the band to promote the track on my show and radio station on ZENO FM. I also scored a collab with Gabe Lopez and Belinda Carlisle with permission to promote their track California Blues. I can assure you folks the opportunities the company offers are real. Its whether that source they networked with to provide the service goes the full length to do a good job. I get hit with 1000 to 2000 submissions per campaign. I listen to EVERY SINGLE submission every campaign but your material has to be on par with top tier label bands from all years of history. I don't take in bands or artists who don't have a commercial viable potential regardless of the genre. If you're good at what you do you make my show. So when the time runs out on the campaigns the company generates the denial letter for each campaign for each network partner. When I go to accept, I click on each artist and send them an acceptance letter typed by me along with the canned company acceptance letter. The last campaign was about 1000 artists and I took in 37. About half of those were repeats. Ive worked with the company for 3 years now. My 9th campaign with the company starts on Feb 8th. You can find all information about me and our campaigns at Halshack.com. The last 3 years since the campaigns with the company Ive brought in 330 artists, bands, rappers and more to be promoted on my podcast, radio station, music blogs, contests social networks and much more. I cant speak for the company regarding their business practices but I can attest to the fact if you submit to my show under Bandlab or Reverbnation you may have a chance of being brought into the Halshack universe but I digress its a low probability you have that commercial potential success about you but its not out of question for anyone. We have helped 40 to 70 artists per campaign over the last 3 years. You can find me anywhere on social media or my website. I'm not here to hide or duck out. Halshack is real and a growing force in the industry. I email with the company on a regular basis but only with the people who handle the campaigns. The company was bought from Lou Plaia and the other owners about 2 years ago by Bandlab in Singapore. My contacts are very real people who are good hard working individuals. Again I cant speak to what happens on the financial side. I don't work for them. I just have a very strong very credible working relationship with their Opportunities program coordinator. They feed me lots of quality radio ready talent. And Ive built a successful show and radio station because of it. Now were building a local festival company here in NC for future starting at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro with the High Rock Promotions Nitro Notes Music Fest. We are bringing in many big names to help bolster all this indie talent that has been discovered through our efforts with Reverbnation. I hope this helps some people who have questions or concerns. I'm here to help with anything I can. Hal Jester Owner, curator, host, A&R, festival promoter Halshack Indie Rockcast Halshack.com

Reverberation has allowed someone to steal my banking information and spend $270 on their services without any authorization from me. Nobody answers the phone or even responds to emails. I need to find out any information possible about who has stolen my information for a police report!

Maybe in the past they had bad staff. But I can only talk from my experience. My name is MainChorusMaine. If you're a musician who works everyday on making your last song better than your last song, than Reverbnation does share your passion and will work with you in getting your passion shared around the world. If you pay the money. Below are my song Reviews. As you see my Bad comments look real but my good comments are obviously Fake. I appreciate them pushing me in front of their app, platform, and even when I look up my name on Google, I find my content and so forth. But if they going to lie to me and say they giving me false promises, well, I rather not use them.

Ive been using reverberation for years... very user friendly, I have not spent a dollar on it but its great for sharing my music with my family friends and fans, all you artists blame reverberation for not bringing you to fame... what did you think this was 150$... sign up... and all of a sodden you're famous going multi-platinum... instead of $#*!ing about a service that was free, get out there and sell singles... sell albums... and if you rely on that you'd better be ready to bend over and sell your buns

Just started 4 weeks ago, got messaged by a couple producers, its an investment, I find. Its a slow burn but you gotta do some promotion work too, that can be tedious. I got on the radio from this platform as well I'll give it a year or 2

Tip for consumers:
Do the grind and promote it

RN is a great site for musicians and provides you with a lot of useful tools. I´ve never experienced any inconveniences, it´s a great service and it works well even if don´t pay a single dime. Also, great customers service, fast, helpful and reliable.

A lot of people who are reviewing this site should think about themselves. RN never promise a stream boost or guaranteed response/placement/success when you pay for some pitichng (and if they do promise that, they will fullfill the promise). Music is a ruthless business and it takes a lot of time and effort to achieve something. ReverbNation can help you with that, but there´s no guarantee in it.

I´ve read a lot of negative reviews on RN because people got bad score in Crowd Review... I mean, how nonsense is that? RN is not writing those reviews by itself - people write it. And so if you got a bad score, you can´t blame the service provider! You can´t even blame the people, you only can blame yourself for making a song that people doesn´t really like and either try to impove it or move on.

People should realise that RN does everything that is promised, they don´t scam aynone! I would recommend this site to anyone, even if you don´t wanna spend any money, you have a nice opportunity to create your artists profile for free and to build up your fan base. With very cheap Crowd Review service and tens and houndreds of opportunities, cheap premium plan and more, this is one of the best sites for musicians.

I'm DJ transaction. Currently ranked #1 on reverbnation Brooklyn electronic music charts. I had a free account with them for like 8 years. I never had to pay my way to the top. I made top ten multiple times and got song plays without trying. I don't think this site is as bad as the reviews below say because I really didn't have to pay my way to the top and I got some opportunities here as well. I'm not paid to say any of this stuff. I perfer SoundCloud anyway but it's a nice site.

Just a thought, but one's experience with Reverbnation is SOLELY based on the intentions and ambitions of the artist. I love playing and writing music so I post songs to get feedback, give feedback, and discover new music. Yes, I understand a lot of the "fans" who clicked didn't like the first 10 seconds and moved on or those moving from artist to artist hoping to get more clicks on their page. I simply post my music for anybody who will genuinely listen to it and appreciate it (which from my experience is a small percentage). However, it makes it that much more gratifying when someone listens to my songs and gives helpful feedback or criticism. If you are utilizing the platform in hopes of a record deal or international super-stardom, then you are likely naive. If you think you have a chance of going to the top, you shouldn't need promoters and advertisements. It should be grassroots and blowing people away with your recordings and gigs... you can't be hostile toward the site for advertising a product that has worked for a portion of the artists on the page (regardless of the percentage) because that's literally what advertising is... It does NOT work for everybody. I've been enjoying the site for a few years now and have never been charged a penny and have made some cool, interesting connections I wouldn't have made otherwise.
-Cheers!

I have been on Reverbnation for a while now, I love it! I have been reading these reviews from artists whining about not getting recognition, you have to put a lot more work into your career than just upload your songs and expect someone to come knocking at your door, I don't care how good you are! It has to be your life, you must live and breathe it, if you aren't willing to work for success, you are in the wrong business! Reverbnation has done so much for my career, so stop $#*!ing and whining and pretending like you are entitled and roll your sleeves up and get to work! Have a great day!

I've used their website for 3 years now and I am very impressed by it. I got many contacts with the music industry, A & R representatives, including licensing opportunities in London and Hollywood. I pay only 10 dollars a month, that's the price of 2 cups of coffee. To be honest, I was very skeptical at first.

If you know how to use the website and have great music and real talent, the sky is the limit with this website, the paid features are more than fair. I have built an opt in email list of over 25 thousand people from reverbnation alone and have met so many amazing connecctions in music, I have honestly lost count.

Its legit... everybody is not meant for music stop complaining maybe your music isnt good have yall thought about that people on reverbnation listen to people who listen to their music spending money blindly is stupid... do your own promotion first then consider paying for a service of their i had my son on itunes spotify and a number of other spots from reverbnation and even sold copies on itunes and made money from streams from the other sites that reverbnation posted them to im satisfied with their service and will continue to use them

I love this site. It has alot of great tools for musicians so they can promote their music in a professional manner. If you`re a musician I would gladly recommend you to check out this site and it`s loads of opportunities. I`ve been using some of them myself, f. Ex mobileapps, the promotion sections, fanreach, and I`m very satisfied.
