Kinda bull$#*! that you help me go through the entire process of bolstering up my resume only to charge me at the last possible second just to download the resume that was fixed. Had I known beforehand that you'd be charging me to get MY OWN RESUME back right at the end, I would have chosen another company to go through. Enjoy your $3 because that will be all you're getting out of me. Also, saying "you must have put a 1 or 2 star review by mistake" is $#*!ing wild. Do better.

Your site mentions nothing about a subscription. It sets you up to have to pay after sitting fixing my own resume for hours. I would appreciate a heads up prior and I don't care to subscribe monthly but that is not an option either. Probably because in the mist of all that is pandemic you know I will forget to cancel this and you will feed your small army off this ridiculous monthly fee! :(

So far I did not see much of AI being involved. Nice formatting, a bunch of prepared bleak, quite standard, texts for "summary" section and that's it. No difference from any non-AI resume builder out there.
Also completely failed to import my existing resume. One of the biggest glitches there - it won't import province\state name after city name. I.e. "Smalltown, WI", was imported as "Smalltown", WI was lost.

Site advertises as free, you work on your resume for a long period of time only to be forced to pay to download your updated resume. They know that after getting you to rework your resume you will pay them to avoid having to do it all again. I truly believe that companies who rely on dishonesty to get customers don't prosper in the end. Its better to be upfront than to lose customers with false advertising. I will be using a different resume builder going forward on principle alone

Resume genius began hitting my bank account before my trial period was over and refused to refund my money in spite of repeated promises that they would. In addition they began spamming my employer's account, an international fortune 500 corporation. A virus was the result and it created havoc with our systems. Beware of this fraudulent company which will drain your bank account before you even know it is happening.

Advertisement of "no CC" or "free" is fraudulent. I'm sure you've covered the legal basis with small print, but I clicked on your link assuming it was actually free. I have now spent so much time on this page that I am forced to pay or start over with a resume builder that holds to their word. I'm so angry at the time I have wasted and I can only hope this $3 will actually pay off. My mistake for not looking more thoroughly into your website.

I would first like to say the service the website provides works very well. But the practices of the company is poor. Initially I received emails of my first charge of 2.95 then stopped receiving all emails. I had thought my subscription was cancelled until a 24.95 charge hit my account. Actually in the previous month without realizing it. They do not email or send you receipts or a change of status of your subscription plan. They hope you forget and do not see the charge to keep receiving 24.95 from you every month. I receive a 50% refund which is not terrible but is bad after the lack of communication from the company.

I feel like I am being scammed, I got my resume once for about 4 dollars I believe and had access to it for 2 weeks. I need to edit one part to apply for a different but similar job and now have to pay $25 to get it for four weeks? Why can I not use the cheaper version? The download I have is a pdf and I cannot edit it with the software I already have. This website says you can make a free resume but you have to pay to download. Very scammy and I am very unhappy.

You advertise on Google that your services are FREE, so that the person takes time to build their resume, only to later hit them with a fee. Not a flat fee, but a membership fee?! I'm paying the $2.95, getting my damn resume and after that, canceling. I'm gonna take some time out of my day to give you guys as many bad reviews as I possibly can, everywhere I possibly can too. This is false advertising.

Your system glitched 5-6 times and I lost my bullet points each time. I invested so much time in your system that I couldn't turn back or else I would've used another service. It took me 3x longer than it should have to complete this because of your glitches. I even had to start from scratch once because the glitch just wiped my entire resume that I had created. I would not recommend this service to anyone unless they had all day.

The website should indicate that it is NOT free instead of waiting for people to have resumes completed to request payment for download. This is a cheap scam. People should be informed ahead of time so you don't make them waste energy in something they may not be able to afford.

Never indicated a need to pay until I put the work in. This is awful! Imagine being poor and not knowing what to do, falling on to this amazing resource, and THEN being greeted with a PAY ME FIRST screen. Absolutely abhorrent business practice. I had to pay for this for a friend so he can get help to get a job. He's lucky I could help because I'm penny pinching pretty hard myself.

Your link for the google homepage says free resumes. Only after you finish making the resume do you state that it's actually a $2.95 fee with a reoccurring charge if not cancelled. You're liars and scam artists who took advantage of me for $2.95 but will not get a cent more. I will tell everyone I know what a $#*! company you are so they don't make the same mistake.

Don't advertise as free, and then once I spend hours on resume require a payment to get it. That is 100% crooked and definitely misleading customers. Cannot recommend this site to anyone.

Said it was free then you have to pay for your resume. Not only that but the $#*! you comes when its a subscription you get charged every 4 weeks. I would have been ok with the one time purchase even though you lied but thats a no. To late now right? I bet to cancel it has to be over the phone swell.

$#*! your hostage tactics. I went through 3 hours of editing me resume to have to end up paying for it. I can understand a one time 2 or 3 dollar fee. But a recurring fee every 4 weeks? Get $#*!ing bent. I will make sure i cancel immediatly. You $#*!s make me sick. You are just as bad as those "Free" makeup services that "only charge shipping and handling" to then start charging people every month for 80 bucks.

Was led to believe that this was free only to waste hours tediously getting resume right only to be hit with a charge at the end. Litrally states it's free as the top Google search. Look for youself if you don't believe me. "Build Your Free Resume in Minutes No Writing Experience Required". Whatever. Enjoy your 2.95. I really don't have it as I'm looking for a job. Ugh, another expense. There's no such thing as help anymore. Everything costs something. I'm surprised the air we bring hasn't been charged yet.

I just paid for it, but this site was very misleading. It said it was free then went to download and asked for $3 plus $25 a month. Shady as hell. I'll use it now because I spent so much time on it, but definitely pissed. Tell people what the cost is going to be. Does Turbo Tax spring this on people last second? No, they tell people as they're working on it how much it's going to be. You suck.

Extremely misleading. They say it's free, make you invest an hour in building your resume, but then won't release it to you unless you pay.

Too expensive for someone who will on use this service once. You need to have a price per resume. This is ridiculous.

This site came up as a free template service. It's predatory to have your services listed as a free option online. I spent so much time putting my resume together all to learn that you will be charging me for this. I don't really have an option at this point because I spent so much time I can't afford to start all over. Feels like you all lie then pressure people into paying at the very end

You get off by stating that you're a free resume tool, and then attempt to charge people over $20 every month. Seems ridiculous to me. Only using this to get the resume that I put time and effort into creating. I genuinely feel bad for the people who wasted their time on your "free" tool.

"Free" resume builder should mean free. Not a hidden fee at the end making it the only way to download what you spend valuable time doing. Hence the 1 star rating. Looks great but it's a total bait and switch.
