***UPDATE*** My original review gave this business 1 star. I have updated it to 3 stars as the business refunded my money and did not ask me to change my review. (If they had, I would not have changed it.) I would like to be able to change my review to 5 stars, but I could only do this if the business practices of this company changed to implement including an email warning that the trial period is coming to a close AND that the customer would also receive an email receipt for monthly charges. (Currently neither of these business practices are used by this company which makes it easy to miss the monthly charges.)

I paid for a 14 day trial. I could swear that I went in and cancelled before the end of the trial, but got charged $40 after the trial. My husband didn't notice the charge because he knew I was working on a resume. Then I got charged June 20th, and my husband was wondering why in the world I was charged $40 again. (C'mon...$40 per month for a resume? That's an inflated price by anyone's standard.) I immediately contacted the company and asked for a refund of the most recent charge. (I felt it was a good compromise that I accepted my possible error for the first charge and reasonable to ask for a refund of the second charge.) I received an email that was basically "too bad... that's the terms of the trial you signed up for". Add to that, I never received an email each month when I was being charged $40. (The company doesn't feel they need to send these emails.) This just confirms to me that the company is counting on people to miss these charges for a good couple months. I half wonder if they ignore the first cancellation b/c most people forget to screenshot cancellations. (I definitely forgot to.) Everything I've experienced so far makes me feel they have extremely sneaky business practices. Stay away! (I will attach all our communication including the one I just received once this review went live on sitejabber. Notice this response keeps asking me to contact them by email, not through sitejabber.)

This service was a fast efficient way to create a resume on the fly. I of course forgot to cancel my temporary membership in time to for go being charged the full monthly amount. They were however very gracious and refunded me regardless.
It was easy to call and get assistance with getting a refund for the $39.95 I was charged as I never received an email or anything confirming I had subscribed to a service, and also when I had tried to cancel my membership before there was no way to do it. Quick response to my email to the support team, they said I'll receive my refund in 5-10 days, I'm doubtful, but also hopeful. I don't want to have to log a fraud case with my bank, and I sort of need my refund for bills before this weekend, but oh well.:^(
I completed my resume and cover letter on the site. I then had it checked by one of their agents. He noted many errors on my resume which shows me that the site isn't quite as good as you would think for a paid service. At least I have a starting point to re-do my resume now.
So this came up when I googled 'free resume word template'. It was a nice interface and did give me a pretty resume but I didn't know it was a paid service until AFTER I had spent all this time filling out my information.
The costs should be advertised up front, not after someone has invested time.
EDIT: ResumeGenius then contacted me offering a free month subscription in order to remove my review. I will not be doing so, and am decreasing my review score to one star. Absolute scum.
EDIT 2: I have no received an email saying my review will be removed if not verified with an order number. There is no order number on my 'order summary'. I feel this is a further attempt at hiding the scam. If I could go down to zero stars I would.

Don't waste your time or money! All they did was tell me that I had too many bullet points and point out that my address was duplicated by their resume builder. I input all of my information thinking they would build a professional resume and all they came back with was what I SHOULD DO TO FIX IT! Even their responses had typos in it and when I asked if this was all they were going to do, they just responded by saying that they cancelled my account. I only gave one star because "no star" was not an option!
