I am in the Military and I been to many countries and never came across a scam like this before This company/website need to be reported and everyone needs to be aware of their fraud. First they put on the site free cancellation then when you call they tell you they cannot refund your money for a car you didn't even receive.
Horrible service, its better to book directly with the car rental company. Should anything go wrong and for me it did several times you are screwed. They will not cover your back in any case. They got their commision and that is all they care about. Even if you provide solid proof such as pictures, documentation they will reject any complaint you might have. STAY AWAY its not worth the trouble.
I used it for a car rental. Big mistake. The price was too high, which I did not realize until I used the app again to reserve another car and what was displayed was different than the final screen, which contained the final amount. It was thrice the price. I tried to cancel it right away and although it was less than an hour after the booking the app wanted to charge me almost $200 dollars to cancel. I was fortunate in that I was able to contact a human being at Rentalcars.com and that person refunded the entire rental amount.
In addition, the first rental I booked using the app I was quoted $264, way too high, and the rental car agency charged an additional $300. My first mistake was to think a four day rental was worth $264 and secondly to rent from Budget Rental Car. Their fees and options are a pure "rip off." Never will I use Budget or the Rentalcars.com app. I am finished!
I rented a car on a Tuesday for a Friday and canceled within 24 hours on Wednesday. They billed me for the entire rental fee because they said I was within the 48 hours of cancelation.
I spoke with a Hector Sanchez, manager (so he said) of Rentalcars.com, and told him I know I canceled within the 48 hour period and he refused to listen to my complaint and refused to let me speak with one of his managers.
For an act of using renting a car via Rentalcars.com and canceling within 24 hours, it has cost me over $100. And then to be treated like that through their customers service was and is absurd.
I will continue to take my complaint to their highest management for Rentalcars.com stealing my money.
I reserved and prepaid for a car but was told after waiting 40 minutes for a shuttle that no car would be available for over 2 hours. This was at nearly 11pm at night. I called the following Monday to attempt to get a refund and was told that no refund would be issue because I had not called the rentalcars.com back at 11pm at night while attempting to reserve another car.
I booked a car at a nice price. Later in the app i saw, that they booked additional 200$ more than they showed me. I thought, this must be the caution, because it should be this amount. When i arrived at the airport and waited 1 hour for my rental the caution was blocked again from the rental company. I called the customer service of rentalcars immediatly and asked whats wrong with this case.
They only asked if i already booked the car. As i aggreed, they said the price which i paid, was the full booking price without any caution. I asked if i could cancel the booking or bring the car back now. No chance, they would charge the full price in any case if i take the car or not.
I would nobody recommend to book with this company. It seems to me, that they are a absolute Scam.

We hire Enterprise car rental services, through RentalCars, for a weekend, worth 92 (prepaid). A credit card was required and we both had a credit card, but we did it with my card and put the other person as a driver.
Upon arrival at the airport, we were told that the cardholder should be the same person suscribed as driver. So we told them to indicate myself as a driver, but after 40 minutes calling the two companies, we were forced to rent another car (paying it in cash) and nobody returned the money from the other rental.
In short, they forced us to lose 40 minutes of our weekend holiday so that in the end we paid another rent and nobody returned the almost 100 we had paid for the previous car.
Once back from our weekend, we reported about the situation to both RentalCars and Enterprise, and they both washed their hands. They told us they were very sorry, but they have kept the almost 100 prepaid rental.
What a scram! What a fraud!

We wanted to rent a car with rentalcars.com and they accepted a DEBIT card to make a reservation but refused to give the car because the companie, finally need a CREDIT card! The compagnie can do nothing about it and RENTALCARS.COM refused to cancel it.
We called them and they told us that we had 24 hours to cancel it and of course it was less than 24 hours but still doesnt want to cancel it. She hang up!
Now we have no money and no cars...

I rented a car from Rentalcars.com in 2016 to be picked up in Paris at CDG. I paid for the car in full. When I arrived a bit late due to airplane issues, they had rented my car to someone else. Not only was I stranded after a difficult flight, but they took my money and then took someone else's money for the same car, and refused to reimburse me. UNBELIEVABLE. To make matters worse (and this is my fault), I somehow forgot about this incident and just rented another car from them. They charged me and then did not send a confirmation, and there is absolutely no record of my rental online. How is this company still doing business?
One of the worst companies I ever dealt with.
Stole £100 from me for a £77 rent, without a reason or even an explanation.
And to add insult to injury, their online customer service doesn't even try to help and the phone customer service just disconnect you.

Do not rent from rental cars.com. I rented a car from them two months ago, paid in advance and received an email from them on the day of my trip cancelling my reservation and stating I would not receive a refund. After numerous conversations with representatives of this company stating that they made a mistake and that I will receive a refund in "5-7 business days" I have received nothing. This company is engaging in fraud and theft. They are a scam. Stay away.

NOT EVEN WORTHY OF 1 STAR! AVOID! They rung me 4 hours before I was due to pick the car up to say they didn't have a car for me. Booked months in advance. Kept saying they'd try and sort it out and rung me back once to say they still couldn't find a vehicle. Then said they'd try again and didn't call me back at all. Rung main number to be told I was left an answerphone message to say I needed to sort transport locally! Never got an answer phone message. Unbelievable. I made a reservation with Rentalcars.com, at Athens airport, car provider company was Gold Car, (I made my booking at the very last minute prior to my departure). Once I arrived at the terminal there were neither was an office nor reps. I asked the information desk how can I get them they said they had to give a name and contact number, where I didn't have it. I have found the Gold Cars number called 3 times waiting on the line for 20 minutes in total. So I tried to call Rentalcars number, the number on the voucher didn't work. On my IphoneX I have tried to use live chat, but it didn't work as well. Lastly, I sent them an email, where they sent the voucher, I replied that email, it doesn't says no-reply this email, Rentalcars.com. The email has not returned back which meant it went through to the right place. I was expecting them to call me but nothing has happened. I was stressed out 30 minutes at the airport with no support. I hired another car and tried to catch my meeting.
Today I used their live chat on the computer, the rep hangs up the chat screen. I asked for a customer support number they just wrote *******609 we supposed to know where this company has been based, and know the country code, even I asked for it, they didn't provide.
Now they are saying that they cannot refund my money. I am stressed out, with no support, very BAD BAD experience. BEWARE from this company. If you come across a problem you will be alone, no support! Never ever again I am not going to use it.
Very poor, avoid these fraudsters. I hired a vehicle with them for a trip to Malaga. I arrived at the airport and was waiting over an hour with all my family for the vehicle to be brought from another branch. When the vehicle arrived we were sent on a wild goose chase around the airport to try and find Goldcars other office, with our 8 month old baby, elderly grandparent and all our luggage. When I returned the vehicle I filled the tank at the airport filling station to make sure it was filled to the maximum. Since getting home I have been charged for fuel and a refuelling fee as well leaving me around £100 out of pocket. Rentalcars are not interested and just keep repeating the same that I signed up to it. When I returned the car the keys were taken off me and when I asked about paperwork Goldcar staff said it wasnt necessary. This is the worst service I have ever had. Will be going with a reputable company next time I go on holiday.
I booked a car with Europcar through Rentalcar.
Europcar canceled my order, free of charge, because I did not collect the car within 6 hours of the collection time (due to a delay in my travels)
On a call to Europcar they said Rental car has not paid them any money.
Rental car decides to charge me all my money as a "cancellation" fee.
If I had booked directly with Europcar I would have had no issues. I probably could have rebooked or not have been charged at all.

Don't get your car here, the company is not serious. They will try to get your money out of the pocket anyway they can. Their customer service is laughable. Better pay twice the price and hrie your car directly from a car hire company thatn to have any business with these scammers. We payed online for a car for 3 days, but our card didn't work at the car hire company for the deposit. So we didn't get the car. Later that day we rent a different car from a different company and our card worked without any problems. Not to mention, that we talked to our bank for 2 hours and they couldn't find any problem with our card. Later when we contacted customer support to get our money back, because we didn't get the car, they just forwarded our case to someone else, then to someone else. Promissed us, that someon will contact us, but that didn't happen. And after the 3rd or 4th time that we contacted them, they said, that we won't get our money back. Beacuse! No real reason. Because of "company policy". So we just gave them 120 pounds as charity and got nothing but frustrating chats with the customer service in return.
The worst experience I had. I booked and picked up the car at Vancouver airport. I found there were unknown charges in the invoices which I thought maybe just deposit. After several complaints, I was told that there was a so-called 'premium location charge' which was never mentioned in the process. Not idea of what the $#*! it was! Dishonest and disgraceful companies! Shame on you!
Run away from this scam. Stay with a reputable company. I had huge issues with Greenmotion UK people in Gatwick. They were rude and obnoxious and i ended up walking away. What did Rentalcars.com do about it. Zero. And they gave me nothing back at all. Run away from these crooks. They hide behind their fine print and have zero compassion for any issues!
