A SCALE AI recruiter found me on Linkedin and sent the following message:
"I hope this message finds you well!
Scale AI, and our affiliate partner, Remotasks, are working on a number of exciting projects to train Artificial Intelligence systems and LLMs (large language models). I came across your profile and thought your travel expertise would make a great fit for a project I'm staffing for!

As a member of our project team, you'll have the chance to:
- Earn supplemental income
- Work flexibly, whenever and wherever you want
- Interact with Al models and teach them about your area of expertise

If you're interested, please let me know."

I responded to the above message and stated that I don't know anything about AI, but would like to know more about the job.

The recruiter replied and said, "With your travel expertise, you're good to go." She included a link to the job description of tasking at Remotasks. The pay stated $25 per hour. The link also included the application.

The hourly wage of $25 per hour prompted me to apply. To apply for the job, Remotasks requires your DL photo front and back and a video of your face.
I applied. I did the hours of required screening tests. Afterwards, I received an email stating I would hear from the Remotasks in 7 business days. I NEVER heard from them. I also had received an email welcoming me to a travel & transportation team to do travel tasks, but the link was broken/voided. I sent a message to the person on the team and received no response. I reached out three times to three different "support" email addresses at Remotasks and Slate, each response stated that they don't handle my "issues." I sent a message to the "RECRUITER." She replied with two emails for "support."
Remotasks now has photos of my DL front and back, and my image on video. This is concerning since it's an AI company. Remotasks requested this information BEFORE taking and passing the screening tests. It's all for nothing. It's a scam. The $25 hourly wage rate is a scam. Based on other complaints about Remotasks, nobody makes $25 per hour "tasking." I was blatantly misled with the hourly wage.
Under my Remotasks account, when I click "Start Tasking," it states NO TASKS AVAILABLE.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS SO-CALLED COMPANY.
