I did not want to take this table out of my house 1. Because I had to keep it plugged in and 2. Because I had sensitive information on it. So I bought a second tablet for about $100.00. Last fall the new tablet's keyboard stopped communicating with the tablet, so I figured out how to chat with them and on November 12 I started a conversation. About a month later I paid $35.00 and mailed the tablet to them. About a month later they emailed me a brand new tablet, but it will not connect to the internet. So I started a chat with them and the chat suddenly disappeared from the site. This evening I spent about two hours poking around in their site and in my old emails from them and finally found an address that seems to work. I sent them the following: I began to correspond with you about this tablet on November 12 and finallysent it in before christmas and paid $35.00. You returned a brand new tablet to me around new years. However, it will not connect to the internet. I tried to use the chat I used last year and it suddenly disappeared from my screen in the middle of the conversation. I have been trying for three months to get this tablet working. How can I get this brand new RCA tablet connected to the internet?

How can I get this brand new RCA tablet connected to the internet?
The battery of the RCA Viking Pro Tablet RCT6303W87DK is not accessable: almost every part in the tablet must be removed to get at it. The battery has no plug, it is directly connected to the tablet by a tape with many fine wires. The tape with its many fine wires must be cut to remove the old battery and the new battery must be soldered in.
RCA support says it is dangerous for consumers to do this and will replace the battery of a 10" tablet for $30.00 plus one way postage. The battery itself costs about $10.00. It will cost $40.00 or more to instal the $10.00 battery, and the turn around time is three to four weeks.
It took more than 30 emails to discover this. My impression is that the support is designed to frustrate the consumer till she gives up in despair.
Every device has a battery that must occasionally be replaced. RCA should have informed me of this BEFORE I made the purchase.
Our 46" RCA television was 1-1/2 years old when the base shattered, completely shattered like a hot glass dish placed in cold water. The television fell forward and the top corner hit he floor cracking the front glass and the screen. Because the television is over a year old we are out of luck, no tv and the repairs cost as much as a new tv. A complete failure of the stand provided with the tv and now nothing, not even an acknowledgement of any responsibility for product failure. We had just made the last payment on the unit.
