Designed to rile up us left – leaners, this supposed new site is full of Clickbait headlines, fake stories that they remove later, and riddled with grammatical errors. Hardly a trusted news source. As a former journalist, I'm appalled. I've attached a sample of one of their Clickbait headlines. Oh, and you probably can't read that article unless you pay. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.

I've been visiting RawStory for a while. First and foremost, its business model is built around generating clickbait. Stories are often embellished into one-sided narratives that are clumsily summarized into headlines specifically worded to draw views from a particular segment of the politically-active population. 95% of the articles aren't about issues, but rather focus on what the rotten Republican bogeymen have done today, with a particular emphasis placed on Trump. As someone who is fairly left-leaning and anti-Trump myself, I can straight up state that it's overboard even for my tastes.

The comment section is about as nasty an echo chamber as you're going to find. Don't you dare dip your foot in the comments if you have a point of disagreement with some of what's being said or if you aren't an ardent anti-theist -- RSers love their religion bashing and are more than willing to tell you where you can shove your belief in God if you don't toe their line, even if you agree with them on practically everything else. Religion is the root of all problems, at least in the RSer mind.

There are much better left-leaning blogs and news aggregators out there. RawStory is full of the type of leftist readership that's willing to defenestrate all ability to accomplish the supposedly vital aims to which it pays desperate lip service, just so long as it's allowed to rest in its smug self-satisfied beliefs with a minimum of push back.

I take my time to research subjects especially when it sounds fishy. When you are a tabloid that is so one sided it's impossible to get factual information. They seem to go hand and hand wiht occupy democrats which either flat out lies or tells half truths at best. Folks the end doesn't justify the means and poor inaccurate journalism is disgraceful.

Every time I go to the site I get a pop up saying my membership has expired. So now you have to pay to read their crappy articles.

I don't think I have ever read more unethical sleazy articles than what these low sc--m newspapers put out.

Typos galore, gotcha titles of articles that don't reflect the title,
And sometimes, poor writing. After alerting them to typos a year ago, no change at all.

NO one takes these people and their 4th grade education level nonsensical fiction seriously. They are universally scoffed at and ridiculed as total garbage,. Theyve faced HUNDREDS of fines and forced retractions

Have found that raw story is like so many so-called liberal news sites, they ban u if u post anything that doesn't toe the party line, ie posting anything negative about israel, or illegals. Not all dems are cookie cutter dems. I got banned, so good riddance to typo riddled, cutting and pasting fr other news sites. I go to the guardian news now

I used to read the articles on raw story and comment. Apparently they cannot handle the opinion of those who do not fawn on assange and trump. For no real reason i was banned by a invisible moderator. While foul mouthed users continue to post regularly. This site sucks. Its as bad as natural news where comments are "moderated" or censored for being truthful, yet foul mouthed cursing is approved. And suddenly people are worried about censorship because twitter banned a whining attention whore trump? Lets laugh.

Paid $95 to be done with ads. Never happened. Impossible to contact. They resisted and lost when I got my credit card company to reverse the charge

Total unreliable left extremism lacking any hard facts. They pick and choose quotes and mischaracterize what people actually say. Tabloids have more credibility than this rag.

RawStory allows zero disagreement. You can't speak out against top commenters, and you cant speak out against RawStory authors. The site will ban you. The moderators have too much control of the site. I would have been a paid member years ago if the site wasn't so screwy. I love most of what RawStory does, but you best check sources before sharing. Some of the writers of the site are off in lala land, and the moderators are near communist in how they moderate the site. Best to just share links if appropriate, and not even waste time trying to commuincate errors. If you communicate errors, you will be banned from this fascist site, and I say that as a liberal.

Can Raw Story find someone or something other than TRUMP to write about? Every damn story is about him, Come-on, REALLY?

This is clearly a propaganda site. You can tell because none of the articles ever actually have footage, videos, or witness quotes. They see something "interesting" and write about it without even getting a story straight. Sorry, but that's just not journalism. Go out and investigate before you just write about it.

These guys banned me for questioning their journalistic credibility and saying their website sucks. This just proves that they are a bunch of $#*! and can't handle opposing views. Echo chamber central here full of brainwashed morons.

Who writes their news articles for this joke news site? It's like they gave down syndrome monkeys the keys to the newsroom and said write stupid monkey or it's back to reruns of Michael O'bama's package bounce around on the Ellen Degeneres show. Since the new format of Rawstory, all I get is severe crashing. I used to go to this site every morning because I liked the 2-3 paragraph stories that would brief me on the previous night's activities. I will be deleting Rawstory with regret. I can no longer stand having to reboot just because I clicked on a story.

My news feed on Google is filled with left tilted junk news from Rawstory news feed. The stories are, in my opinion, planted to sway voting decisions for upcoming elections. I searched for ways to remove their notification to no avail. The media today is following a prescription agenda that hurts the county I love and I think they should be held accountable at some point.

A few months ago Raw story started posting partial articles lifted from other websites. I contacted them as to why they were posting click-bait partial articles they never got permission to actually print. "Roxanne" responded:
"That is a snippet of a wire story we have permission to reprint, through a service called Nordot. The reason why you see that "Read more" link at the end of the article is because the original publisher of the article gets paid when you click on the link. "

I did not see the 'read more' link until I turned off ad-block. To read the rest of just one article 'Nordot' forces users to turn off ALL AD block software and also has 33 trackers ON TOP OF the website you are referred to. A user must give up their right to privacy AND allow all invasive pop-up and pop-over ads from the website that has the original story (usually smaller unknown often shady sources I would never allow to put trackers on my computer).

Raw story takes news, turns the title into click-bait, then re-posts partial article with very invasive to use link SO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO PAY A CENT FOR THE STORIES THEY LIFT. Notdot says partial articles with the shady link is free to other websites. Nordot has a full article option but Raw Story apparently thinks it is better to force users to give up their privacy to whatever website had an article a RS writer/re-poster twisted into click-bait.

Warning! Raw Story's website has always had too many ads and ads that cover parts of the articles and even some that cover other ads! But now it keeps sending my browser to Yahoo and a couple of totally suspicious unknown sites. This is only happening on Raw Story and I've run my security/antivirus program and not found any problems with my computer, so I can only conclude that their website is deliberately hijacking my system. I'm done with them.

Or they will ban you in a heartbeat. I objected to the avalanche of insults directed at my state, Florida, in the comments section and was banned. I used no profanity, threats or ad hominum ( although a ton of it was thrown at me) and banned I was by Moderator "bow" with his "ban hammer". The site is intolerant of any view it does not share and will censor them with abandon. Although I'm a Left leaning guy I have to say that kind of thing, banning and the gross shadow banning, is more more common on Liberal sites that it is on GOP'er ones. There are options to RawStory. I'd recommend you take them.
