My husband hates shopping (whose doesn't?) But when he knows I'll get money back from Ebates he's all for it. When I had a delay in seeing my Ebates reward after a sale, I contacted Ebates and they resolved my problem immediately! And they've checked back since to make sure I'm satisfied and I am.
Ebates closed my account for no apparent reason and did not send me a check of almost 5 thousand dollars. I buy a lot and I earned a lot. I tried to contact them but nobody can answer where is my money. It fells very unfair. They already received cash back from all stores I shopped and they have to send me a check. It looks like Ebates wants to steal my money. Don't trust them.

I started using Ebates years ago, and they have always been one of my favorite sites ever. They make getting cashback on everything you buy super super easy. They even have a website extensions in it help you to never forget to use them.
The reason that I have stayed with them all this time, though, is because their customer service is top notch. Anytime I have had an issue, no matter how big or small, they have solved it within a matter of hours.
To date, I think I have gotten back close to $500 with little to no effort on my part. I adore Ebates.
I ordered a cover for my macbook and it came in within 3 days. It also came with a screen protector and keyboard thing. But both things were poor quality so I threw it out. My friend recommended this site to me because the cover only cost $10 plus free shipping. They have a different sale every day. I didn't really have any problems, so I gave three stars. They do email you once or twice a day for promotions. But you can just unsubscribe.
I absolutely love shopping online and how awesome is it to get money back just by shopping through eBates. I love this site. Such amazing customer service and all of the associates are friendly and fast at answering any questions I have. I had a few purchases that didn't capture but reached out to an associate who quickly compensated me for the mistake. I couldn't ask for an easier way to shop online.
An oversight on my part of not changing my mailing address with Ebates resulted in my not receiving several of my Big Fat Checks. I sent an inquiry and within hours, Kathleen has investigated and started the process to get a replacement check sent out to me. I could not have asked for a quicker response and better customer service. Thanks Ebates!
Wrong product showed up. Was told NICELY that it was not their problem, contact seller. I do not have time for this. Should have used Amazon. 2 dollars more, best return policy. I will NEVER use Ratuten ever again.
Prompt email response when I emailed in a question about a recent order. Emailed back and forth quickly and within a few days it was completely resolved. Best online customer service I have had from any company!

I've never had any issues with receiving Cash Back on my account. Some stores are very quick to add the Cash Back right away, which is great! Overall, I've had nothing but a great experience using Rakuten

Ebates would be a 5 star all around if only you didn't have to always chase them for your money! I shop online on a regular basis I constantly have to ask "where's my cash back" You would think they would have an updated system that would enable them to follow up on outstanding cash for their customers! I just went back 3 months in my history to find almost $25 is owed me who knows what other $$ i missed in the past, its funny how it's slowly appearing in my account once I requested it which makes me wonder if Ebates is trying to pull the wool over some consumers eyes to keep the $$. My point is I shouldn't have to chase them, if I didn't inquire I probably would never get any of my money! On the other hand customer service is quick!
Upon signing up for Ebates I expected a $10 kohls gift card after making my first purchase, as it turns out the promotion expired before I acted on it. BUT after contacting customer care they graciously explained the issue and as courtesy will be sending me a $10 kohl a gift card anyway! I have earned at least $15 additionally through my purchases that I was planning to make anyway. So far I'm loving Ebates!
Ebates is the best! If you're going to shop online anyways there is no reason why you shouldn't shop through Ebates. They always send me updates about my recent purchases and the money I've earned. I get extra bonuses for referring people and when you sign up you get a gift card. Customer service is always helpful as well with any questions I have. Definitely join Ebates!
I'm fairly new to ebates and have had several questions. Every time I sent an inquiry to customer service, I was answered later that day with a resolution. Everyone has been so friendly and patient with me. I love this opportunity to keep a little cash in my pocket as I shop and being with Ebates has been a fun, rewarding experience so far.
After finding that a couple of orders I placed online did not go through my Ebates account I contacted Ebates customer service. With only one or two questions by email the customer service department was able to find the problem and solve it to my satisfaction. They certainly did not have to go the extra mile to help me but I'm glad they did!
Though it was totally my own doing, by not reading what was part of the deal... ebates still gave me cash back on an item that wasn't covered. They were courteous and quick to respond when I asked where my cash back was.
I always use ebates when rebate is available. Have contacted customer service a couple times and always was treated like a valuable consumer. Highly recommend ebates and send referrals to all my friends.
I realized I had never cashed one of my Ebates checks (and they expire after 90 days), so I emailed customer support asking if it might be possible to get a replacement check. I received an email back the next day asking for my address so that a replacement check could be sent. I haven't yet received it, but I will be thrilled when I do!

Answer: I can't answer about the owner ripping people off. All I know is I have ordered from Rakuten numerous times and have nothing but praise for them. I haven't read the bad reviews but I've gotten nothing but good products.
