First of all I'd like to mention the assortment, the wide choice and the catalog, which is conveniently divided into categories, plus there is a description of the product. On the site you can write to the consultant, I got an answer in 15 minutes. The manager helped with the choice. The prices are reasonable. The delivery is fast. The product is of high quality. I can highly recommend it.
I purchased a gift card, and it didn't work. I emailed them and the response was to escalate the situation and get back to me within 7 business days. They never responded to me and were not refunding either. Be aware!
This is certainly a top website for gift cards, but I am hoping to get my listing up a tad bit faster. The items sell pretty fast so you guys have great advertising techniques, so let's hope for a great rest of the year. Thanks
I ordered my first two Raise gift cards and went to Home Depot to capture my 10% savings on a $600 purchase. Unfortunately, one of the gift cards valued at almost $300 was showing "No Funds Available" when the cashier tried to use it. Immediately after leaving Home Depot, I called the customer support number. I was quickly greeted by Walter, who thoughtfully handled the situation. He apologized for the poor first experience, processed my refund, and emailed me a prepaid return postage immediately so they could check it out and see what may have happened with the card. Although I would have much preferred a functional gift card and the savings at Home Depot, the customer service was great. I would still consider using Raise in the future, as I feel like mine was a rare occurrence.

Raise has recently improved their buying process by showing a timer for how long your purchases will last in your cart. This has been extremely helpful. In the past your cart items would expire without warning but now you can see how long you have to check out before they disappear. It still puts pressure on you to shop quickly or lose your item but it's better than in the past.
I have used this site and the deals are great... when they work which is about half the time. If you place an order in your cart, it disappears spontaneously, especially when they offer discount codes, making it impossible to purchase more than one thing without it getting bought out from under you. It's ridiculous that they don't hold it until you can check out. Online chat help was nonexistent.
Both Eden and Sergio were very helpful in helping me find out why I hadn't received my card in a long time, and then prompt with the refund!
No service provider is ever always perfect. But the very best ones succeed in making blips disappear.
Raise is always on top of their game when "making it right" erases the "something gone wrong."
Nuff said.
Went to BELK yesterday to buy some clothes for my gbaby, picked out what I wanted, got an approx amt needed, got on my iPad and purchased a card and within minutes, it was in my wallet and went to check out and saved an additional 13% on top of the 65% I was getting inthe store! I LOVE saying money!
Tip for consumers:
So far so good for me!!
I realize that buying a resale gift card is risky. There is always the chance that the person who sold the card will use the number before the resale purchaser has a chance to do so. Raise has excellent customer service and guarantees its cards. When I was unable to use a card purchased three weeks earlier, my money was promptly refunded. While it was disappointing to not get the bargain I thought I had purchased, Raise did everything they could to make it right.
My experience has been very good, however with all the fraud going on and the phishing e-mails, I would recommend that when you ask a client to call back to speak about an order, you give the toll free number listed on the website and have an option for the security area they need to reach. I did not recognize the 312 number given, therefore I called the 888 number and when they tried to transfer me, I got hung up on.
If this issue was corrected, Raise would get a 5!
After I reported the gift card fraud, the customer service replied me less than 24 hours, and returned the whole refund. I like the way Raise treats its customers and ability to resolve issue. Even the credit card fraud happens, I will still consider to buy giftcards from Raise.
I sold a rather large gift card on Rase.com and chose to have the funds deposited to my checking account. After taking a few days to hear back from someone regarding the verification process, I was told I needed to verify information by submitted my drivers license and a picture of the gift card, as well as any receipts I may have. A couple days later I received an email saying that the funds were going to be deposited into my account within 2 business days. I received an email 2 days later saying that the funds transfer was cancelled without any explanation and to call customer support. The agent that I got in touch with told me that it was cancelled because they needed further verification regarding the billing information on my account. I confirmed the information, and was told that the funds would be transferred within 2-4 business days. I had a great experience talking with customer support, as far as the waiting period, it's pretty unclear just how much time exactly it takes, so if you are planning on selling a gift card, expect the process to take around 2 weeks or more. (Selling it on the website, processing, verification, and the time it takes to verify again to submit to your checking account). Feel this should be a bit more clear on the website, but happy customer service was able to assist.
Short and direct response to my questions. Happy with quality of the interaction. My only suggestion would be to allow time for more opened ended inquiries and close call with very specific closing statement, I. E. "Did I address your question" or "can I help you understand other aspects of the service".
Had issues with placing an order for Home depot gift card of worth $1100. Customer support is not that great, at-least not customer friendly. Need to send ID proofs & multiple follow ups are required to process an order. Some folks in customer support are adamant & arrogant as well. Raise need to take some action against them to get to 5 stars.
I just cant get enough of this website. I wish they have all the gift cards they are so I can make money out of my wanted cards or get them for a good discount when I want to use them. They only thing that bothers me is that there is a high amount of fraud out there, but the company has a good policy on backing up its clients when that happens, so I don't have to hassle for a prompt refund. Otherwise this is the best idea for frugal consumers of all kind.
Kayla was able to rectify an issue that I had experienced with a Raise gift card. Originally, Jess had efficiently resolved my issue, but in speaking with the gift card issuing department, I learned of an oversight. When I contacted Kayla regarding this error, she was very helpful in resolving my oversight. I feel that both Kayla and Jess's exceptional customer service deserve recognition and hopefully they can be recompense in kind.
I first wrote to Raise on 10/12 - and didn't hear back until 10/21... but they did resolve my issue favorably once they did respond.
I spent $85 after discount and coupon to receive $100 gift cards. But when I went to use the cards, they had zero balance. I raised the complain with Raise and asked for the cards loaded with $100 balance. They refunded the $85 that I spent. So now I need to look and wait for another such deal again :(
Updated review: Raise made two of the cards right. The third is being reviewed. I am thankful they contacted me immediately and worked on resolving the issues. With no grief, nothing, straight forward, listened to me and made it right. Thank you. I will be much more careful in the future... but I am thankful they stood behind their business, and that's important to me.
Here's the deal with Raise. They're a 'marketplace' for buyers and sellers of gift cards. The seller lists a gift card, mails it to the buyer, Raise takes a small commission out of the seller's side, and the transaction is complete. Raise offers a generous 100 days complete satisfaction guarantee. HOWEVER... The site is wrought with fraudster sellers. They'll make the transaction, send the card, etc. But since the gift card number is known, they can either use it online, sell it online, go to a physical store, etc. and use the balance after they already sold you the card.
My advise is if you decide to use the service, immediately confirm the balance and transfer to a new gift card. This will prevent the seller from accessing the balance.
I was defrauded a couple of times. The first time I had no idea as the balance was slowly depleted without my realizing it. I thought it was just my purchases, but it turns out my card was being 'shared' and skimmed every few days. The second time was for a $200 gift card. When it arrived, it had a $200 balance. Kept it in my wallet for a few weeks, then tried it at the merchant only to find out there was a $0 balance. Turns out this seller waited a week or so, then depleted my balance at a store 3000 miles away from me.
Maybe the e-certificates would work better as you can immediately transfer those balance to your own online account...
Too bad the fraudsters have to ruin a good thing.
Unfortunately, my gift card success rate with Raise.com is only about 95%, but their customer service as always made good the 5% of the time that my gift card is invalid.
I purchased a TJ Max gift card with 5% extra discount. However I forgot to apply the promo code before I checked out at the end. I emailed them right away and got refunded for the extra 5% amount within 24 hours. What a great customer service!
In the past two months I have received two gift cards from Raise that had a zero balance when I attempted to use them. I called the restaurant who initially sold the first card & was told the payment had been cancelled by the buyer. Even though it was a little more than 100 days, Raise issued me a full credit. The most recent was a Smashburger $100 card. When I called them, they said a hold had been put on the funds. I called Raise & Trent said they had given me the credit the first time as a courtesy & offered me just a $15 credit. I told them that would be unnecessary as I would discontinue purchasing from them. There was no response. I e-mailed their customer service & am still awaiting a reply.
Balance of a gift card with Sunglasses Hut was blocked, as per Sunglass Hut. Raise.com representative helped me resolve the issue in a proactive, diligent, courteous and professional manner.
After failing the account review process for my wife, Raise decided to suspend not only my wife's account but mine! As we called them, the supervisor said it was at the "representative discretion". We did all we can to satisfy their account verification process including sending a picture of my wife's driving licence which they said was "not valid" (after answering correctly the usual random questions).
This business is just concerned about themselves, not the customer and they will treat you like dirt. Beware!
[EDIT: We received a call from a Customer Representative. He was able to fix the situation and explained how they have to be extra cautious with gift card transactions. After some turbulences over the last few days I think we are back to normal! I will give Raise.com another try as I had been quite satisfied with their services until this incident. Changing my rating accordingly to reflect my overall experience with this business.]
Missed out on a promo offer due to a mistake on my part. The agent who assisted me, Carlton, credited my account and showed me how to resolve problems like this in the future.
