This hotel is filthy dirty and needs some serious cleaning attention. Priceline listed it as a 3 star but it is a 0 star. Location is Quality Inn on Brighton Rd. Stairs, elevator, rooms and front desk area need deep cleaning. Ice machine and hot water in breakfast area does not work. No internet. Hotel is being painted and room smelled like paint all night. Staff did not want to review concerns at check out.

Avoid this location and Quality Inn in general

Products used:
Hotel stay booked on Priceline which stated it was a 3 star but obviously there rating system is flawed because this place is a dump. Needs lots of TLC/repairs.

Absolutely awful. The front desk clerk (she) was extremely rude. I wanted to confirm my Choice Rewards account, and she informed me my method of payment didn't receive points. I called Choice and resolved the matter. I'm getting my points

The front desk attendant told us while we were literally across the street getting gas at the loves truck stop that the room was $65. Only when we arrived at the hotel not 15 minute later in person he told us he was $80. The web site, not priceline or the like but the actual web site of this hotel said 65 also, which he told my wife they have nothing to do with (the web site). I went in to speak with him after my wife had spoken with him and within about 30 seconds he began to attempt to dominantly speak over me and interrupt me. I continued speaking so he told me quote "you and your wife both wouldn't let me speak and I'm really frustrated so you can go stay somewhere else". He then ordered me off the property and when I didn't move fast enough threatened to call the police. He sneered at me as I walked out the door stating that you can't leave us a bad review unless you stay here, as I had indicated to him I was going to leave him a very bad review and complaint. That statement of course is indicative of the level of confidence he has in his ability to have zero accountability for the ruthlessly rude way that he treats his customers and potential customers. This man is not fit in the slightest or in the farthest stretch of the imagination fit to be in the customer service industry. He also indicated that the price may have been affected by the fact that we have a 17 month year old baby with us In 40 years I have never been so amazed by a hotel front desk employee who's retaliation against our daring to even discuss his utterly shameful bait and switch garbage is literally worthy of a retaliatory law suit. He accused me of harassment as motivation when threatening to call the cops upon my stating that I would review and complain to the higher up members of the company. All within seconds of my entering the building to look for a place for myself and my family to spend the night. I highly encourage anyone in this company with the ability to investigate or the will to keep up good business to review the surveillance video And audio if available to see if I am exaggerating or placing my own slant on how this played out. I went back to the door to inform him that I do not have to stay to leave an online review, he of course interrupting me before I could get out two words thought I said I don't have to leave and reached for the telephone to supposedly call the police. This guy is under way too much pressure and has a very vicious attitude and malicious way of acting toward random people who will not swallow his bait and switch lies in my opinion. If you're rates change that fast and someone who just called you and got a quote 15 minutes prior, maybe you should extend that rate? I wonder how it would have looked for him to have wasted the valuable time of law enforcement because someone asked questions in a non hostile cordial and proper way about why the rate shifted so fast? How would it have looked for the company and him. Police aren't even responding to many calls due to the corona virus and take an hour or more for others. What a disgrace. This transpired at about 8 o'clock November 21st 2020. He was a large white male with medium length brown thinning hair and heavy build. Quality Inn Ontario Oregon, Goodfellow st, what a disgrace to the name of the street as well!

The Hotel shows a number of problems, mostly summarized in 3 categories:
1) Customer service from the mother company: Choice Hotels
2) Infrastructure and immense noise
3) Staff and service level

Choice hotel chain
I would not go too much into the details of how much discussion there was to change the reservation due to important business reasons I had. I gave Choice hotels plenty of notice so they could resell on of the 4 nights I prepaid for. I provided them the reasons, however Choice hotel did not recognize, care or gave a s…t.
Their speed and quality of response if also disgraceful. The useless answer arrived even after I had already checked out – where they do not perceive there is any need to address the issues anymore.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND NOISE
This is sold under Booking.com as a "Hotel". However this is Motel, positioned on the nosiest street in Santa Fe (Cerrillos Rd) with an infrastructure dating back to the 40s.
I asked specifically to get to some quiet location away from the highway Cerrillos. The receptionist indeed put me in a room on the back of the hotel
If this happens to you, YOU WILL NOT SLEEP
The room faces a parking which is being filled up at night by screaming drunk people leaving the nearby Lulu's nightclub Disco club from 09 am to 4 am in the morning, and parking their noisy and smelly monster Pick up trucks V12, 6, 000CC with loud bass music and revving engines, to wake everyone up. Straight in front of your window.
YOU WILL NOT SLEEP
Getting contact with the reception is useless as you need to phone them from outside to speak to someone.
THE ROOM
Poor condition overall, with a Television that never worked. See attached pictures of items on the room Carpet, etc. Aligned however to motel standards.

STAFF
Mostly unfriendly and disengaged. You feel bad even to ask for anything. The woman (manager?) looked and behaved very detached, bored, annoyed and apathy.
The man was a bit better and tried to be more helpful.

Summary: this is a motel which is packaged as a Hotel, to squeeze more money from the customers.

The Quality Inn in Maryville TN is the worst place I've ever stayed with the worst service. They don't tell you they are a "smoking friendly" hotel, nor do they tell you they have non-smoking rooms on the smoking floor! The entire floor smelled of smoke- even the 'non-smoking' rooms. HORRIBLE!

I noticed that my bathtub had a hair on the wall and a used soap still there. This makes me feel like they don't clean thoroughly. In the morning housekeeping entered with without knocking, and when I asked for an hour extension the front desk informed me they would only give me 30 min. I checked out before 11. I am surprised that this establishment is so willing to alienate a customer over 30 min. This town has many choices, in the future I will seek accommodations with an establishment that shows they value me as a customer by giving quality customer service.

Outstanding and helpful employees, breakfasts were good and tasty and room was in outstanding well kept condition. Maintenance Mgr. Jaime works very hard, but also gives customers his time. This is a place in which I will be sure to return to on my next visit there.
