Renewal issues of PureVPN lifetime subscription.
February 12, 2022

Stackcommerce sold me a LIFETIME subscription to PureVPN 5 years ago. They told me that since PureVPN doesn't have lifetime codes I needed to contact them every 5 years to get the service renewed. The first renewal was needed a few days ago and that is when the nightmare began.

Stack commerce: Upon contacting them, they Initially tried to get me to switch to another VPN provider's lifetime deal. Upon rejecting their offer and insisting that I wanted PureVPn they tried to get me to reconsider by offering me that same lifetime VPN provider plus $20. Upon refusing their offer because the alternate VPN they are offering has TERRIBLE speeds (I am talking 50 times less speed than PureVPN) they offered to renew my PureVPN for 2 years if I agreed to no longer request an upgrade again. Clearly that was unacceptable as I purchased a lifetime subscription (not a 5 years + 2 year extension deal). So I refused and I raised the legal repercussions of breaching a contract. So they finally agreed to renew for 5 years and they sent me a letter stating that they would continue to renew for the lifetime of the product every 5 years. Despite the waste of time and anger that they had caused me I was happy that this was over, but it wasn't. PureVPN worked for a few days, but then it stopped working.

PureVPN: They re-activated my service upon Stackcommerce renewing it for 5 extra years. It worked OK for a few days but then it began giving me a server error with code 5059. Upon contacting them they told me that my service had expired.

My account is still NOT working despite sending PureVPN a screenshot of my PureVPN account (their website!) showing an expiration date of Feb 2027, my original Stackcommerce lifetime invoice, my original PureVPN activation screen showing lifetime and even Stackcommerce letter of a few days ago confirming that my account had been renewed for an extra 5 years and would be renewed every 5 years for the lifetime of the product.

I don't know what happened between Stackcommerce and PureVPN, but customers like myself are paying the price for whatever mess they have between them. This is not just unprofessional but it a breach of contract. If somebody wants to start a class action lawsuit, please count me in. This is ridiculous.
