Public storage is one of the worst companies I have come in contact with. Constantly increasing rents, changing the terms while in contract. In addition, they have a policy to sell your products from your storage even though you make a payment the same month. Then they protect the storage buyer identity, over the fact that you have been a loyal customer over the past few years. Lastly, which is probably the worst part, they have a subsidiary in CA (close to the HQ) that takes the profit from the sale. You have to write to them (in paper) even to claim the money that they made off your sale. Also, the company is managed as a trust, where the payout to the board of directors is horrendous each year. If you think about the companies you want to do business with, trust you stuff with - this is not one of them.
The rate increases remain unexplained. After the first 3 months, the price increased by 30.00 a month. Today I see another 25.00 a month increase. NO One can explain why the rate continues to go up and I dislike the surprise. Its an arbitrary rate increase at best. Its nice to see that the stock went up today.
I found a storage unit right off of C470 & Kipling, which was perfect. I met with the manager, Cindy, and she was great! She helped me find the right unit for my needs. I was really impressed with her knowledge and recommendation. She showed me available unit sizes and locations available, which was a huge help. Sometimes you just can't picture the actual size in your head and she took the time to help me make up my mind. She was a pleasure to work with and really made me feel comfortable with my decision to rent there. One day, my key broke off in the lock and I had already closed it. She took the time to help me get the key out and the unit open again. What a relief that was! Not many people would actually take time out of their day to do something like that. I will be forever grateful to Cindy for her kindness, and for going the extra mile for customer service. I would recommend this Public Storage location to anyone looking for an honest value and great customer service.
I tell You as A company she was a pleasure to work with giving me some in site as to what the company expects, with how to take care of people and some of the issues that could arise during the interview process.

These people lure you in with cheap rates and then after you get all you stuff in their storage units they then proceed to raise your rent by double within a year. They are super greedy and as soon as I can get my stuff out I will NEVER use their facility again. I will tell everyone I know to not use them. They are super greedy and they don't care.
I was moving my stuff into the storage area that was available. I literally lived across from the storage at the time. The mover ended up charging me way more then I anticipated and because of it I was embarrassed the price they quoted me was way less but ended up charging me more Reina Fuentes extended her hand out to me because she wanted to help she didn't give it a second thought and it was her last i didn't wanna take it but I knew it was from her heart. What a special person this young lady is I was able to resolve the issue. With a little act of kindness that I didn't expect.
Worst company I've ever done business with. They rented me a 10 x 10 space that was actually 8 x 5. Even though someone was on site, she would not help. She said "I'm not on the clock." This company does not care about their customers at all! Don't fall for it! Do not ever use this company. After weeks of planning to try to get the people we needed any equipment we needed in the middle of Covid and after hours of packing everything on the trailer in the hot sun and paying people to do it, we couldn't fit everything in to the space. We called the national hotline and all they said is will have to come back tomorrow. How in the world am I going to get everything together again to do that in the middle of Covid.
I've been a customer for over 4 yrs at 3000 South Federal Boynton Beach Florida ******* and would like to say that no matter how bad my day is Karen although wearing her mask due to Pandemic always makes me smile with her up beat personality and constant ways to inform others how they can enjoy what that older but special location has to offer. Keep up the good work.

Online bills sneak in rate increases without notice. Late fees and lien charges are disproportionate to the amount owed. Bills and notices arrive at different times and contain conflicting information. Due dates are misleading and office staff often has different opinion as to what is due when. Insurance is maniditory and expensive.
First of all, the facility on ******* Halsted in East Hazel Crest, IL has shortened their gate hours, making it inconvenient for people that work during the day. I can only go to my storage unit on the weekend. The storage fee keeps going up every 2-3 months. I just had an issue where I tried to pay my bill online and accidentally put in the wrong account number and when I called the facility, the person on the phone told me that as long as I didn't get a rejection, it went through and everything is okay. Well it wasn't okay and I tried to tell her that. So I was charged a $25 late fee and a $25 cancelled check fee. The customer service dept. is hard to reach and when I finally did reach them, they were no help. The district manager cannot be reached either. I am currently looking for another facility to store my belongings.
Andy was courteous and helpful. Very patient in explaining the various aspects of my rental. After completing the paperwork he took me for a walk through to show me the unit and how to secure it. He is an asset to the company and a perfect model of how a business should treat a customer
I had to move some things in to my storage and had purchased on the first day well on the way to the storage my phone dies. Unable to have the access code or unit number. Mr Ron came to my rescue. You talking about someone so frustrated this man went above and beyond to make sure that I gained access to my storage I am so grateful that you employed this gentleman please this is the kind of person you want running your show. Mr Ron you were so kind, patient, and your unwavering spirit and attitude makes me believe that there are some wonderful people in this world from the bottom of my heart thank you
The customer service is GREAT! I have a heated storage unit with these guys along the Seattle Waterfront and they are always super helpful and friendly. They have tons of packing materials and they are always in stock. Keep up the good work!
Though I have not always been happy at Public Storage I recently encountered an employee worthy of praise. Nicole at the South Durango Ave Store is so helpful and patient that she deserves at least a raise! In this time of uncertainty and lack of civility she stands out as an excellent representative of the best a person can ask for in helping and being competent. At this public storage I'm truly blessed to have met the property manager Patrice.
She is a very hard worker, friendly and always greating me with a smile. Always communicating with me about my unit. She always tries to reach out to me about my payment Patrice is the best in property manager I have ever came across.
In a time when am having such difficulties in my financial situation Patrice always call me to ask what she can do to help.
It's amazing how much better it is for me to know how much Patrice care and understand the value of her clients.

During my visit to this facility, I was greeted by Mrs. Candy. She was very professional and friendly. She explained to me various storage spaces and guided me through the process smoothly. We need more professionalism like Mrs. Candy displayed. She was awesome!
Stacy was very pleasant, helpful and professional during my daughter and I visit. The facility was new and very clean. I was most impressed with how Stacy secured the facility prior to showing us around. I left feeling confident my belongings were in a safe and clean environment. I have been at this location with public storage for over 2 years and I've had nothing but great experiences and help with any situations concerning my unit Susan is a very good manager and my only wish is that Susan could work 7 days a week!
