I like what these guys do. They filled a niche where old PS3s that over heated become unusable because of a poorly designed motherboard and cooling system. I purchased a PS3 from this site and was happy.
Unfortunately the trouble started when I purchased service for a different PS3 that had died. As instructed I mailed it to them to have it reballed (made better than new). This is the sequence of events that occurred the second time:
-I sent them a PS3 and $90
-They sent me back one that didn't work although they claimed it did.
-I mailed it back to them again at my expense with a detailed letter enclosed in the box explaining who I am and how to mail it back
-Never heard back so I attempted to contact them for_months_ through ebay, and then through email
-They finally responded because they have a "chat bot" that shows up when you surf to their website!) After explaining I sent them the box (as they requested!) with my personal info and phone number enclosed... then asking them what their intake procedure was... They refused to answer that question AND THEN they refused to look for my PS3 until I produced a tracking number from UPS knowing full well this was extremely hard or unlikely after 6 months. At this point it was obvious to me I had to PROVE they received the box before they would acknowledge receipt OR responsibility.
-Finally I was able to produce the tracking number and prove that it was mailed to them after an hour deliberation with UPS. Only at this point did they say they had my PS3!
-They claimed they would have a look at it right away
-Next they diagnosed it with a blown graphics chip and told me it was $45 and that they could fix it if I wanted. He said "if yes, I will try to have it done today"
-After a couple of days of thinking about this in lieu of the above, Instead of saying ok I responded that I just want the money back for the original repair. I didn't even care about the PS3 or the shipping.
Yet they ignored my email and several after it.
After threatening them for 2 weeks with small claims court (their physical address is listed on the web site in the mailing directions) they FINALLY agreed to paypal me back the money.
This is a person who knows how to do good work... who will swindle you if they can. In some parts of the world I understand this is "everybody". But here in the U.S. this business owner should go to jail.
