“They went an extra mile ahead to help me!”

I recently used their DIY Kit (which was recommended by one of my colleagues who had used their services) as I had no idea how to run a PR campaign and what all is needed to make one successful. They not only provided me with all the necessary info and materials required to run the PR campaign (contact list of relevant journalists, press release, and pitch templates) but they went one step ahead and even guided me on the process to run the campaign.

“PromoteHour.com Provides Fake Blogs for Thousands Of Dollars - Steer Clear of SCAM!”

I read Reddit for PromoteHour reviews and was hesitant as I couldn't seen any direct correlation between the articles they claim to have posted and ROI on backerkit. It turns out they will give u a list of hundreds of contacts. For 3000usd they will supposedly contact each and every contact. Which, they simply don't do. Long story short, they are only selling u an email list. Then pay $100 or so to a site that has "gamed" the Ahrefs Domain Authority system. For $1500 deposit, we received only 3 conversions on a $69 product. When i tried to renogotiate kindly over a one day period, the project manager was making false claims about her delivery results. One of the articles was a negative review One was posted but had fake DA ranking Third post was from me contacting someone not in the list they provided me and the blog posted from my press release notes, not the pitch they sent. After 20 days, and only $750 raised on my Indiegogo campaign, we decided to ask to have the 2 posts (one negative and one that we got posted ourself), credited to our next campaign. It really isn't the money that is the issue. It is more the principle. Then two people in the company said that since there was a contract, they were in the right. I really wanted to believe in Promote Hour. Their customer service begs for more. UPDATE: they are now trolling my review. I want to say that if you want to have articles posted for the purpose of back-linking, then pay them $3000 and they will give you around $300 worth of paid listings. Many of the emails bounce if you buy the email lists from them. Phandroid we contacted on our own and we have proof. Please contact us and we can show you screeshot showing it was our own efforts and NOT Promotehour's. The Italian SmartWorld link they posted was a PodCast with WASN'T part of the agreement. The other Italian article was NEGATIVE even though the blogger didn't ask questions about the product or receive review unit. The only positive review was TuttoAndroid. Our other campaign SportsMask on raised $750! They sent me some weird Indian site which they had post the article. It got ZERO traffic so we paused that campaign. The worst thing about PromoteHour isn't the overpricing, bounced emails, or the negative reviews, it is their attitude. You can see on the comments how they are not being honest and are disclosing customers details (which is probably not legal)。 I've contacted other people that they have on their testimonials and they also are saying the same thing. You don't have to trust our review, read past the fake reviews on Trustpilot, sitejabber and reddit, and contact some of the actual people they "claim" to be doing PR work for. Thanks!

I used their services to do PR for my crowdfunding campaign after David from their company reached out to me.

They were quite proactive in everything, with constant updates and a very streamlined onboarding process. Also, within a span of 2 weeks since I started working with them they were able to secure coverage in one of the top US media outlets, and 2 more coverages followed in the week next.

Overall a great experience and I recommend their service to anyone who is in need of a good PR firm for their crowdfunding campaigns or business in general.

Thanks Promotehour Team!

Utsab G. – Promotehour Rep

HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL CLIENT & BIASED REVIEW (PLEASE READ FULL STORY BELOW TO GET A CLEARER PICTURE OF EVERYTHING)

Hi,

This is a completely biased review with the reviewer only disclosing the facts of one side of a coin. Request all visitors to kindly go through the series of events which took place with proper dates mentioned below -

24th Sep - Promotehour reached out to him with an offer to promote his crowdfunding campaign for his product - 'Cardroid'
Then there was a week of exchange of info over email, where the reviewer cited that he wanted the company to handle 3 different campaigns for him, then he said 2 and then he said 1, showing very indecisiveness in his nature, he made the sales reps amend the contract from 3 to 2 to 1 and vice-versa around 7 times.

3rd Oct - Finally the reviewer decides to start for two campaigns and signs the contract clearly stating all the service details and pays a 50% deposit for each campaign ($750+$750) which clearly stated in the contract is a service fee deposit. Also, he signs up for CarDroid and Sportsmask products specifically.

Please take note of the contract pricing structure to which the client agreed to -

For 1 project -
$750 (advance) + $750 (after two press coverages) + $750 (after 3rd press coverage)

Contract and project deliverable term - 30 days

The same pricing structure was applicable to both the projects.

The company (Promotehour) starts working on both projects.
8th October - The reviewer suddenly decides that he does not want to pursue the SportsMask project further and requests the PR firm to replace that with another product of his choice. In spite of the fact that the PR firm had already started working on the Sportsmask project and also created digital media for it in terms of a press release, email pitch, etc. still accepted the client' wish to switch the project for another product and did not request any extra charges for such abrupt project switch also it was clearly mentioned in the contract that the PR firm shall only work for two projects and create digital media for the same.

18th Oct - The PR firm started working on the reviewer's 3rd project - "Pantera" without charging any extra fee, the reviewer gave a vague reason to switch the project as he was not getting the results he wished for in spite of the fact it was just halfway into the contract period.

19th Oct - The reviewer states that he is seeing some positive changes in his earlier Sportsmask campaign and is not sure whether should the PR firm switch back to the project or carry on with the new project again showcasing his indecisive nature on what he actually wants.
In the meantime, the PR firm kept on working on the CarDroid campaign, majority of the top media houses were hesitant to cover him as the reviewer did not have prototypes available so they suspecting him a scammer they denied to cover him but still the PR firm overcoming all those hurdles managed to secured the following press coverages for him in reputable media outlets -

http://phandroid.com/2020/10/30/cardroid-dongle-transforms-android-auto-giving-it-full-android-super-powers/
https://www.tuttoandroid.net/news/2020/10/27/cardroid-indiegogo-847768/
https://www.smartworld.it/rubriche/smartworld-news-podcast-buono-sconto-amazon-accessori-galaxy-s21-cardroid.html
https://www.androidworld.it/2020/10/27/cardroid-730725/

2nd November - The reviewer claims that the Phandroid coverage was secured by his own efforts even though the PR firm had reached out to the Media outlet and pitched to them 2 days prior to the coverage, also the reviewer without even informing the PR firm directly reached out to the media outlet using the contact details which the PR firm had shared with him for just review purpose. He refuses to accept the smartworld coverage and androidworld coverage as it didn't get him any sales.
He claims that none of the coverages got him any sales whereas the PR firm had nowhere guaranteed any amount of sales, they had simply guaranteed press coverages in media outlets which had been approved by the reviewer.

Now again he requests the PR firm to switch project from CarDroid to XDONCube one of his other project (2nd project switch in the span of 15 days) and he expects the PR firm to do it without charging anything extra.

3rd Nov- Seeing the reviewer being so unprofessional, unethical as well as indecisive also refusing to accept the PR firm's efforts even after securing the deliverables which they had promised in the contract and top of that making impractical demands (such as doing 4 projects by paying for just 2) the PR firm decided to stop working on any of the reviewer's projects any further.
Also, the reviewer's claim to any sought of refund is completely baseless as first he made the PR firm work on 3 projects by paying for just 2 and also even after getting the results which the PR firm had stated in the service agreement the reviewer failed to pay the next installment of fees ($750 for 2 coverages of Cardroid). If anyone is deemed to get more fee here it's the PR firm rather than the reviewer for not only wasting the PR firm's valuable time but also making them work extra and out of the contract deliverables.

Any future companies (PR firms) who wish to collaborate with the reviewer kindly beware as you don't want to waste your time on a client who turns back on his words and fails to comply with the agreement to which he agrees to.
