Horrible experience using Priceline.com hotels. First Hotel were listed as 3.5 star rating - turned out to be 1.5. Next hotel when we turned down bed - some kid had pissed in the bed. Last hotel - we selected an "express deal" thru Priceline at $108 (they do not give you the hotel name until you pay) the hotel turned out to e Quality Inn which was listed at $70 from other sites.

I booked our vacation through Priceline and neglected to pay attention to the car rental company they were providing until we arrived at the airport.

Upon arrival I realized that we were assigned some company that I had never heard of called Green Motion. They were not located at the airport and we had to wait over 1/2 an hour for their shuttle to arrive.

When we finally made it it the rental office, we were informed that we could not use our insurance which is through State Farm because this company requires $500,000 minimum coverage. I have never encountered this problem before from the many well know car rental companies that I have used over the years. We were forced to purchase their insurance at $40 per day because the rental was non cancellable through Priceline. Such BS!

I surprised that Priceline would use a company like this thats obviously running a scam business.

If you book an auto rental through Priceline and they have you booked with Green Motion, do not purchase it!

Prices for hotel rooms are competitive but be careful booking an Express Deal, you may get a hotel that is not displayed on the map. When you deal with customer service, they are trained to say only one thing "sorry there's nothing we can do for you"... they are quick to take your booking and your $$$ but try to make changes and you S. O. L. ONLY an on-line business could getaway with that.

Poor way to run a business. I am researching prices for a trip later next year. When we travel we always choose Premium Economy for seats. Went to Booking which auto sent me to priceline. There are no Premium Economy options. Chatted with their online help and was told their sales was closed two yrs ago and they could not help with any thing that included the pre purchase of tickets. So will not be using priceline and will tell others not too.

Plan to fly my wife and daughter to Florida. Trip canceled due to current pandemic. My older daughter was traveling on the same flight. She booked directly with American Airlines, I used priceline. She received 100% refund for her flight. Priceline offer credit to fly later. Not considerate under the current national state of emergency. Will go directly to airlines in the future

I used priceline to book a flight for 5 people to Nashville. Due to severe weather warnings and emails from the airlines about delays and cancelations, we decided to cancel our trip and re-book for another date. I called priceline customer service to cancel the trip, everything seems great, they said I would get a full refund of $1800+ within 2 business days. Today I go to check that the right credit card is getting refunded and notice he only canceled my flights TO Nashville and not our return flights home! I called customer service again today and they are now saying because there is no "waiver from the airline" they can't refund my return tickets, they can only give me credit to use within a year. Problem is with this kind of service, we don't want to use priceline again! Plus their flights double in cost in a month and it will be cheaper to go directly to the airline at this point.

Though they do help a lot in finding great deals, don't count on their free cancellation offers. I booked a flight and canceled the same day and got the confirmation of my cancellation the same day. In the email it showed that they'd charge and refund the total amount. What happened, they only charged after 11 days and never refunded anything. I just don't get the money back after all

Looking for a last minute flight cross country. I went to Expedia, and the lowest cost was $580.00. I went on Priceline and the exact same flights with the same airlines were $330. That's Great. 24 four free cancellation, so no risk. Wanted to add a car from Hertz. Add $180: still OK. Had to cancel for personal reasons. Airfare refunded. Rental car was no refund, no future credit, no wiggle room.

Book the flight. Skip the car.

I booked a hotel but wanted to just change locations but couldn't and my record show only about refunds only and nothing about switching rooms. No one could not help me so I'm stuck in this hotel until my stay is complete. Yes I could cancel but I would lose money which was stated but could not just change hotels, same name just different location. It has been a horrible experience and will never used priceline again or any other without go completely over the policy. As far as priceline I'm done with them, and to think I've used them to booked my previous hotel, you would think in order to keep a customer happy it find to make some wiggle room. Thanks but no thanks no matter how good the deal is priceline is off my radar.

If you are a novice, warning regarding the Express Deals. We rented a car for our Kona Hawaii vacation and had a family emergency that required us to leave early. I contacted customer service and there is absolutely no refunds of any kind under any circumstances if you have an Express Deal and no offer of discounts on the next rental. We lost approximately $250.00.

I spent a day and a half trying to book a trip with them. Kept hitting snags.
Customer service- abysmal. Chat is total waste of time. They keep switching you to different chat lines. Basically all say "I don't understand your question no matter how detailed you give the info.
Finally able to put in trip. Everything looked good. A few minutes later we get "the flights you've chosen are no longer available ".
Tried one more time- same thing.
Booked with another company- 1/2 hour later booking complete. No issues at all.
I would never even try to use this site again.

Let me start by saying I never would've found this rate without a travel engine like Priceline. My room rate was very good compared to normal prices and was exactly what I could afford. On the other hand Priceline charged me 63% of the total room cost in fees and services. When I compare this to what the hotel would've charged, the hotel would charge 19%. So obviously this is how Priceline makes money on people who book with them. I understand making a profit but this was exorbitant and the only reason I booked was because I had a little time to search and it still ended up being a decent price. I absolutely WILL NOT use Priceline again

I booked a flight from Harrisburg, Pa to Hawaii, in March 2021. When we got to the Airport our previously assigned seats were changed and my wife and myself were separated on the plane. Coming home from Hawaii, we were separated and were not in the Premium economy seats I had paid for. We were in economy section. When I tried to contact Priceline for an explaination, I got shuttled from one operator to another. The only contact I could find was a Bot program on there Web site. Where they just said contact the Airline. Very second rate service and total lack of interest.

Service was absolutely terrible and not helpful at all. I purchased insurance because they recommended it only for the "insurance" to not cover when I needed to change my airport landing. Then I would be required to pay 200 dollars extra if I cancelled this flight or be stuck in an unknown city three hours from my destination. A rip off if I've seen any. Better off paying three the airline directly.

Tip for consumers:
Read the fine print and don’t buy the Priceline insurance it’s a scam

I booked an express deal for a Florida Hotel. By doing my homework I was able to figure out which hotel I would get. Their site told me that it owl be one of three hotels. But they also said that one hotel, the one I wanted, had 80 reviews. It booked and got the hotel I wanted. The next day the very same hotel with 80 reviews was offered for $48 less. Priceline refused to honor their price guarantee.

I rented a car from Dollar rental car through Priceline. I flew half way across the country to attend a dinner. 30 minutes from the airport the car broke down. Not only did it take the tow truck almost 2 hours to get to me, I was forced to ride back to the airport with the tow truck driver to get another car. All together this took over 5 hours, and I was late to the dinner that I traveled to be at. Dollar told me because I paid in advance through Priceline, they could not give me even 1 day credit and to call Priceline. Priceline told me the problem was between me and Dollar, and they could do nothing for me. TOTAL BS. They should have brought me a car instead of making me go all the way back to the airport, and they should have credited me at least 1 day. All I asked for was 1 day credit.

Because of a short-notice trip to Penticton, B. C., we arrived at our destination without a prebooked hotel, so used Priceline to find and book one.
"$114" per night it said, for a local motel that looked reasonable—so we clicked "Book this deal".
Only once it had booked, we noticed that the actual price (which it didn't ask us to review and approve first) was $169 + taxes and fees.
"You're the third guests that this has happened to," said the friendly motel owner, when we asked him about it. "They quote in USD, but bill you in Canadian. Our room price is $169 + taxes. Phone Priceline and complain: you should get the difference refunded. They did for the other two guests."
So we did. After a 20-min. Wait on the line, I spoke to a young woman, who spent ten minutes getting various details from me, she asked if I could provide a screenshot of the $114 price quote. I told her I couldn't, because I didn't expect to be diddled on the price—but we do have a screenshot that we took immediately after the booking, which showed the room at $124—still much lower than what we were billed.
"Maybe the hotel is willing to refund you the difference?" she suggested.
I told her that was not an option, and that we suspect that we were quoted in USD but billed in Canadian. "I don't know anything about that," she said, and pointed out that they were actually Booking.com (that Priceline belongs to), and since she couldn't get hold of Priceline Customer Service staff, because they were not answering the phone, she was sorry, but there's nothing they can do about it.
I told her that that is not acceptable, and asked that she pass on my complaint and details to Priceline, when she finally got hold of them, and seek resolution of this—else we would know better than to use Priceline ever again. She said she would, and that someone may get back to me after several hours.
They never did. However, we did get two separate email offers of 10% next time we use Priceline, and we noticed that in subsequent searches for hotels through the website, they were now quoting in C$.

Everytime I speak with folks from India or non American staff they always seem to sound high and don't listen to the information given. The last told me to check my flight status online and call back if anything changes when the whole phone call was about my flight being cancelled. I basically had to walk the guy through on how to do his job "customer service". FFS

My mother in law and her granddaughter had to take an emergency flight to New York form Austin, Tx for Sister's funeral. Flights were delayed and missed to New York 2 times. And upon return flight back to Austin, TX flights were also delayed almost half a day. Not Acceptable Priceline. Hotel, and car with package was however the only upside to this package fair but not extraordinary!

My husband and I booked a one night stay at a reputable hotel in Keywest through Priceline at $432.00 night. At that price point we expect great accommodations. It was a 1st floor room. I woke up to 2 warm like bugs crawling on the ceiling. I jumped up and screamed for my husband to kill them before they fell on me on the bed. When we open the curtains to let some light in, to out horror, we realized that these bugs were all over the room in different areas at least 10 were located some crawling others curled up in the carpet. We alerted management. They apologized for the inconvenience and said they would refund our money if we booke directly but since we booked through Priceline, we should contact them and they'd refund our money. After multiple calls Priceline refused to refund the $432.00 and did nothing to contact the hotel on our behalf. After the hotel manager inspected the room and witnessed these bugs crawling in the carpet, the hotel processed a refund. Needless to say that this was a gross and traumatizing experience. Most importantly we learned that we should avoid Priceline and a use a booking service that will stand with their customers if there's a concern or complaint. Priceline only worries about their money and could care less about customer satisfaction. I chose not to disclose the hotel chain or post the pictures and videos because the hotel manager did the right thing and refunded our money. As for Priceline Stay away.

Terrible customer service. They will keep you on hold forever. They will not call to confirm that the hotel has rooms available. They don't help their customers no matter how many thousands they spend on one trip. Sadly I will never recommend this company

My review concerns the booking process. The trip it self was great from flight to rental car to hotel... BUT the booking process and customer service aspect needs tremendous improvement. There was a glitch with the Priceline server while my reservation was made and i wound up with 2 rental car reservations for thwe trip. And no one neither Sixt car rental or Priceline wanted to resolve the issue. I finally had to contact the better business website. And then priceline wanted to resolve the issue. And finally did resolve it 2 months later. Great deals but need to work on customer service. The Philipines call center was a total joke. Tell the same story to a different person every call. So frustrating. Just wish it had not taken so long,

You guys have to be able to change some of the car rentals. I mean I just tried to switch from manual to automatic and you guys can't do it and the car rental company said only you guys can change it. So please try and make this option easier in the future. I had to go and cancel my first rental and get a second rental afterwards? Please!
