The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

Quality hotels at great rates with Priceline membership discounts. Nationwide dependable service when you need to book a room
They charge you a good penny for getting you the reservation I just stayed at Days Inn worst service I ever had they didn't even have towels for the duration of the stay and the hotel charged me $317, but through Priceline I was charged $393.40, so that remaining balance was for Priceline for them getting me the reservation had I ordered it from the hotel myself I would have saved myself about $75 dollars. I won't be booking my hotels through them again and I've been a member forever and just realized this. Plus the hotel itself charged me another $100 for deposit, so definitely not worth all that money for my experience. Not a good experience at all.
NOT HAPPY! My search was for accommodations for 6 PPL. Then the price breaker came up. I used it and when I went to check in to the two hotel room it was for 4 PPL. I contacted them and their only line was it was in the fine print there was nothing they would do. I was livid as we were on the road driving 10 hours and had 6 ppl in the car. I worked everything out with the hotel, but I wish I hadn't! It was a disgusting place. There were cigarettes' ashes and fingernails in the carpet, wall paper pealing, dirty and a bad location. Never will I use Priceline again.
I would give zero stars if I could. Zero help at all.
First, I thought I got a great deal on my flights that I picked. Then after the "Cancellation period (1 day) they changed my flights on me adding an extra layover and an additional 7 hours to my total travel time. NOT ok! I'm traveling with 3 kids one of which is a toddler. I will not be in an airport/airplane with a toddler for 12 hours. Seriously that is a recipe for disaster! Especially considering I spent well over $1,000 to get these specific flights with the specific layover and travel departure and arrival times.
Customer service is a joke. The online chat (only place to talk to anyone from Priceline apparently) Kept giving me the same 1-800 and 1-877 numbers to call "Air Travel Services department" and the automated services kept hanging up on me. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE PRICELINE!
I reserved and prepaid for a rental car thru Priceline. I contacted Priceline the day of the rental to re-confirm the car from Thrifty was available. When I called Priceline they put me on hold, contacted Thrifty and confirmed the car was available. When I got to the Thrifty counter around 11:00 pm I was told "sorry all the cars were given away". No explanation. No apology. Thrifty did not know if any other agency's had cars. Offered no help or options. When I asked if cars would be available tomorrow, they didn't know.
I will NEVER use Priceline again.
Customer service is absolute trash. I tried changing my return date and received no help. All i got was the runaround. One rep tells me a seat is available, but says they need to request a price and me call back. When they call back they tell me the seat is taken. We try another date/time, they say they have a seat a available but just need to confirm the price, they'll call me and tell me THAT seat is taken too. And keep in mind they dont call you back in 5 minutes, they call you back after hours of waiting. And anytime you call them, the wait is more than 2 hours, in which they place you on a call back list. Basically this entire process could take days, especially if every time they request a quote and call you back, the seat is taken. When they called me back the next day (YES THE NEXT DAY), they told me the seat was taken AGAIN and they need to check another date and get another quote. I hate them, everyone needs to be fired. And they need to learn better customer service. AND even though the seat wasn't available, i was still charged and i still didn't get my return date changed. And i'm still waiting for them to reverse the charge. PRICELINE SUCKS! AVOID AT ALL COST!
After booking a flight using Priceline and paying extra to have a shorter flight, my flight was changed back to the later time. I called Priceline and said I wanted my flight changed to an earlier time which they said would be free of charge for a one time change. The rep Santiago #447 says he can change it back to an earlier flight but there will be a charge now after reviewing it because it's considered a ""minor change". So basically they want to charge me twice, I said that is not right and he tells me call Delta. I called Delta and they said they can not do anything about it since it was booked through Priceline. I should have learned my lesson a few years ago when I booked a hotel through Priceline, I get to the hotel and they say I do not have a reservation. I had to pay full price directly to the hotel and get my money back down the road from Priceline. I will never again do business with Priceline.
Do not use Priceline or thrifty/ dollar rental cars. They took my money and did not provide a service I was on the phone for hours and did not get the issue resolved. The end result no car leaving my family stranded at the airport and my credit card was charged 282.00, The Priceline blamed the thrifty and thrifty blamed Priceline while I was stuck with no car and the bill. Scam alert… payment rendered and no service. Never again! The insurance is also a scam. They do not deserve any stars.
How this company is still in business is beyond me. NEVER AGAIN. Totally screwed up my vacation because the agents cant speak or understand English. Who books and intl flight for a family of 6 without luggage? Priceline. Nickel and dime you tondeath after the initial teaser rate? Priceline.
Arrived to check in and told not registered... Red Roof Inn web site forwarded to by Priceline for "details" h told me I can cancel with 24 hrs notice. Did so to, I thought, make sure I wasn't charged. You guessed it: I found a charge on credit card when I got home!
I purchased 2 business class round trip tickets only to find out that Priceline gave me the first part of the flight business class and the second flight economy. This was way also on the return flight. When I called them to rectify this situation (not once but several times) they said they could not change the seating. I paid $1689 for nothing! I am so… angry at their unethical business practices.
I decided to book a flight through Priceline to visit my husband in Marine training. In doing so I signed up for a credit card. The advertisement to get the card makes customers think they will receive the sign up perk at the time of the purchase. The rewards promised from the card did not come until a month after I had signed up for the card. I was not able to use there perks for the initial flight (The purpose of applying for the card). This was annoying but not enough for me to stop working with Priceline. Although, at this point I was suckered into buying a flight with them through signing up for the card. As the weekend went on my husband and I got an email asking me to rebook my flight because my flight reservation had mysteriously been cancelled. Rescheduling would cause me to pay 200$ more than I had originally paid for my flight home through them.
Customer service was terrible and no one could explain why my flight had been cancelled. They said the customer had cancelled the flight and they could offer no further help. Being the customer, I knew I had to get home and did not cancel my flight. They refused to refund my money and kept offering me a reschedule that got more expensive as time went on. I decided to take a 262$ loss on their business and go through a direct airline to get home. I will NEVER do business with this business again and I suggest no one else does either. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THEY SCAM MONEY OFF OF CUSTOMERS THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE. DO NOT USE PRICELINE.
I booked my flight and hotel through Priceline. Then there was no available rooms for that same hotel and I booked directly at the hotel for my sister. When we came to the hotel, we did not like it and checked out. My sister, who booked at the hotel, got the refund immediately and told me to call Priceline for my refund. I called for days and Priceline told me that the hotel was the issue. Priceline's system is set up to frustrate customers and and not get them their money back. I will never book with them again. Crooks. They frustrated me for days to get my money back for the hotel I never stayed at.
I used Priceline to make a hotel reservation. Upon checking into the hotel, within 10 minutes of getting into bed, I found a bed bug crawling on me. I immediately packed up and left the room and went to the front desk. I demanded a full refund since the room was unusable, but the hotel management refused to provide a refund since I had "used the bed". Yes, I had used the bed for 10 minutes before I had a BED BUD crawling on me. The next day I called Priceline and demanded a full refund since the reservation and payment was made through Priceline. Priceline also refused to provide a refund. They sold me a product that was unusable and then refused to provide a refund. So don't expect Priceline to stand behind any product they sell you.
Paid $92 more than the actual bill was for the hotel. Called Priceline they said they can do that.
Worst company ever to book travel vacations! I planned a vacation to Rome one month ago. Recently we reviewed our itinerary and contacted Priceline with questions. We were on the phone with them for more than 1 full week! We were constantly being transferred to other departments because agents couldn't answer our questions about the flights. Air Atalia canceled one flight, but we were able to rescheule right away. 2 days before we were set to leave, we found out by EMAIL that the second leg of our flight was canceled and was not rescheduled! The earliest connecting flight we could get 5 hours later! Never using them again!
I booked a rental with Priceline because I thought it was a good deal. I found out 4 weeks later I could use government rate directly with the car company and I would have saved $600.00. This is ridiculous and we will not make the same mistake twice.
I booked a reservation at the Midtown convention center hotel in NYC on Priceline for this weekend (had to come into town for a trauma course)
The pictures show that clearly this hotel is in disarray and in fact not open. Silly me for just assuming that it would be.
I spoke with two Priceline representatives, including a supervisor, who refused to rebook us in another hotel. They said the hotel was closed for Covid and expected to reopen 8/1/21, which is laughable. I explained that a site credit should be provided given the hotel I did rebook is costing 400$ more. I was offered an offensive 5% discount off an Express deal only.
Be aware that Priceline does not check the status of the hotels and further investigation may need to take place before assuming the hotel is available. Better yet, avoid Priceline altogether.
Priceline is not trustworthy. I made a hotel reservation online, they ended up charging my visa card for 2 transaction instead of 1. The hotel picture they show you before the transaction is not the guarantee hotel after the transaction. Customer service is horrible, rude, and unfriendly. When I finally tried to talk to someone about double charging me, the answer I got is that the transactions are final and non-refundable. Somebody needs to institute a process in law with this company and their unsafe website. This company is robbing their customers.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
