The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

I was put on hold by priceline escalations department after the first name on a reservation was JOSE and it was suppose to be JOSEPH. They wanted to charge me $75 to put the "ph" on the end of the name and said it was an airline fee. I spoke with american airlines and they stated there wouldnt be a change fee. I was transferred from customer care and then spoke with the escalation department where I told them the issue and they put me on hold for 73 mins before I hung up! WORST SERVICE EVER
I booked a car rental and hotel through Priceline and had to cancel the trip. I called Budget to cancel the pickup so they knew I wouldn't be there and they canceled with no issue. I then called Priceline to request a refund and was told that my booking could not be canceled or refunded. When I canceled the hotel I was told by Holiday Inn that there was no problem as long as I canceled within 24 hours. Priceline however charges a 1-day stay to cancel within 7 days of the stay. So again, Priceline is refusing to refund money that is not being paid to the vendors. They're just keeping the money. Such a scam!
I made a reservation through Priceline for a rental car (with Thrifty) starting on Dec 27th 11pm and ending on Dec 30th on 9pm. When I got to the car rental office, after waiting for over 1h, I was told there were no cars left and to come back the day after. A shame. I came back on Dec 28th and picked up the car at 9.39AM as per receipt. I claimed a refund from Priceline for the part of car rental that was not honored; they said they reached out to Thrifty and they said there is no proof there was no car left on Dec 27th. This is ridiculous as systems can prove there were no cars left. They did not provide any refund and the customer service agent was just a shame. Stay far from this awful company unless you want them to steal your money.
I will NEVER use Priceline again.
I had gone through Priceline to rent a car at Bakersfield airport. I wasn't able to pick it up because they wanted a credit card. My longstanding account with Enterprise doesn't require a credit card.
I wrote, emailed and called Priceline for a refund but received no response. NONE.
Traveller Beware.
I made a car reservation and never received confirmation details. I called Priceline the week of my trip to obtain the details for my reservation such as where and when to pick up the car. The man on the phone was incredibly rude (I thought he was having a bad day, but no they're all like that), and he refused to honor my reservation. He literally canceled my reservation and then also refused to give me a car rental for a different date or a refund. He instructed me to do a chargeback through my credit card and hung up on me. Months later, Priceline is disputing the claim with fraudulent and false information. They reported that I asked to cancel the reservation, which is untrue, I had to rent a car from somewhere else because they wouldn't honor my reservation. They also requested that I submit the rental agreement or invoice I received at the time of making the reservation, which is a joke because they know they didn't send me anything. Turns out, Priceline doesn't have the rental agreement or invoice either. Priceline submitted a screenshot of a website page where they entered in information to make up the details of a car rental at my same price, but they're idiots because the screenshot says at the top "Almost done! Enter your details and complete your booking now." It isn't even a screenshot of my car rental, it's all fabricated. I can't get my money back because they keep submitting fake and fraudulent info, numerous examples beyond the one above, and they scammed me out of $244.69. I called Priceline back and the man was just as rude as the last time I had to speak with a representative over there. He told me that I was basically a fool for filing a dispute because now I will never get a refund and that he refuses to give me documentation regarding the cancelation because it can be submitted to help my claim. He also hung up on me. Do everything you can to avoid this company at all costs. There are plenty of cheap car rental, travel agency, etc. services out there that won't scam you and steal your money. Go with anyone but Priceline.
I booked a trip and the flight time was pushed to the next day. Priceline did not alert me. When I called, I got hung up on 5 times and no one helped me change my flight.
I booked a room the monday before new years eve. Drove from Columbus after working 12.5 hour shift to find out the room was never booked by company.
The company representative was not sorry or willing to provide a discount seeing it was a holiday last minute probably they created.
I was offered a refund. Than over charged for another hotel buy this company. Yhe company representative charged $160 but online the room was $120.
The representative was not apologetic but more concerned to book another hotel. It was disappointing because I deal with this company often.
After starting the new year on a negative with this company. I'm now looking to do business with another company who has customers service on better levels.
It was late, disappointing, and unprofessional.
The money was already paid. To have me repay a full amount inconvenience my finances. The traveling was a Hugh waste of my time. Than to have no where to sleep. Wow... that's not a good way to start a new year.
Spoke to the representative about the problem that night because I needed a place to rest for the night.
I would never use PRICE LINE again, on December 27th 2021 I booked a room at SUPER 8 MOTEL in Spring Lake NC CHECK in date December 28th 2021, arrived to check in at 4PM
I had to wait 12 minutes for someone to check me in, I was informed by the GM he didn't have my confirmation # or my card # he proceeded to tell me, I had to pay $199.00 on top of what I paid to PRICELINE, I REFUSED, and checked into another hotel. Reservation#

This is fraud company they book a flight and cancel in less 2 hrs and refuse refund money. Fraud fraud
I called the hotel directly because I did not want to go through a third-party. I was given Priceline was very unhappy. Unlike most priceline took my money out immediately! It was months before my stay and the money was already out of my account. I canceled my reservation immediately it took three months I could not get my money back. The hotel actually helped me get it back after a long time, visa researched it and finally refunded my money. DONT GO PRICELINE!
Upon choosing a pick up location for a car rental that I had wanted to book due to a snow storm predicted to happen on Christmas Day, my drive to visit my family would take one hour long and wanted to rent a safe vehicle to do so. The pick up location I had chosen was close to my house and was walking distance away. Upon completing my rental purchase, the email confirmation I received for the pick up location changed to one that is 40 minutes away from me. I called priceline immediately and told them of the situation. They told me this happened as the location I originally chosen did not have any cars available and auto defaulted to the next location closest to me. I told them I wanted a refund. After speaking with 2 different people and was on hold for 20 minutes was was told someone would call me back about the refund. I called them again in 3 hours to follow up and was told I had passed my pick up time and now I will NOT be able to get a refund issued! I was then again told someone would call me back. It has now been 5 days and I still have not heard from anyone. I will NEVER use priceline again.
This business is horrible. I booked a flight to San Antonio from Chicago and missed the flight because priceline told me to catch my flight from the wrong airport and therefore spending Christmas alone seeing that all my family lives in another state. When I called the airlines and explained what happened, after a nearly three hour wait, they told me to contact priceline to address the issue. I contacted priceline, after another 5 hour wait, and they basically told me to f#ck off, claiming that it wasn't their problem and that I should recontact the airlines. I didn't accept that as an answer so they put me on hold for 20 minutes, and then just hung up on me. You can book a flight, but they can't correct their errors. Priceline is a f#cking bs scam.
I tried three times to call and use a flight credit and was hung up on each time. This is ridiculous. I spent almost a thousand bucks and can't even reschedule.
Rented a car with AVIS via Priceline for Costa Rica months in advance. When I arrived at the Liberia Airport was notified (even before getting the shuttle to AVIS's office) that they allegedly had no more cars to rent. Called them and they conformed the information. Reality is that they had multiple cars in their parking lot. This is an organized dishonest practice where car rental companies charge 3 to 4X normal the prices, making you shop around at the spot on, an airport in a secluded place. Priceline has no process to enforce booking conditions. I can't trust them anymore.
I made a reservation for a hotel that was supposed to be close to the airport. It turns out to be 35 miles away. I discovered this right away and asked them to cancel the reservation. Their customer service rep (Mary?) told me they couldn't... 10 minutes. 35 miles. Supposed to be close to the airport... Is lying a reason for immediate cancellation?
Latrine (toilet) non-ADA compliant, Hotel room mold, mildew, smells and like the toilet sewage! Remote control had disgusting soiled body debris! Priceline customer service haggled, deflected, and denied the existence of discrimination. Priceline staff never tried to help me book a hotel room, and I tried many times to communicate with the Hotel and Priceline. Many of the Hotels are refurbished Brothels@ Hotel staff was the worst! It took 45 mins to check, the male staff member tried to create a ruse, so I could forget my credit card. Priceline lied and claimed the talked to the hotel, but never talked to the Hotel manager. The hotel manager deflected the problems.
I had credit on for a previous canceled flight and they would not honor my seating or other perks that I previously chosen, I had to call three times I will never ever go through Priceline
If you can actually get ahold of someone they have horrible costumer service and don't try to make anything right. They also false advertise. On the express deal it showed I was going to get a hotel similar to one of these nice hotel and then when I booked it gave me the crumbiest hotel out there or maybe it's a motel? Idk. Don't book with them.
Beware of this company! I ordered a car from them and when I arrived at the car company it was very unsafe and tried to charge me extra so I immediately called Price Lane to cancel the order and updated them on what was happening and this is after I took the company's VIP and they told me they did not refund me even though I did not take composition! This is their attitude to customers! Be careful they will cheat you! I expect the senior manager of the company to contact me and return my money this week! Because after talking to some managers the customer service is very bad and not considerate of customers! Be careful they are cheaters they cheated on me and I will not shut up and make sure to sue the company if they do not call and return the money I deserve
I bought a hotel room through Priceline at the Hawthorne Suites in Manchester MA. Upon checkin in the hotel was closed. Nobody was at the check in desk and there was a sign with a phone number to call. Nobody answered the phone for more than one hour. I called priceline to cancel the reservation and I was told that, given the situation I would get a refund. Today Priceline wrote an email saying that the hotel does not agree to refund the amount paid and that therefore they will not refund me anything. At this point I think that Priceline should take responsibility for selling a service that cannot be used. It's like selling a car that cannot be driven… What's the use of it? Therefore: do not trust Priceline and do not book hotels or cars through that website. It's very unreliable!
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
