“PRICEBREAK.COM IS A SCAM!”

They will send you a fake tracking number delivered on your same state, but different city. They were probably hoping their scam will slide through and buyers won't complain since after 35 days of not saying/reporting anything, that will remove your eBay buyer protection! Nice scheme! If you do complain, message them a million times and don't hear anything from them. Try calling them and ask for a refund, they will tell you that they will ship the item to you and you will get the "right tracking number". Wait for a couple of days and 'Voila!' you will get a totally different phone that is not as described from their item description. Bought a new phone for the price of $216.99. Expect to get a cheaper version of it in a crappy packaging, opened and destroyed box. Besides that you'll see that the plastic protector of the phone itself looks like it has been taped by a 2-year old! Try and report the transaction to eBay they will favor this fakers because they gave the "right tracking number"! Probably other people had a better experience than me with this company, but you will see from others who also gave them a negative feedback that they had the same experience! WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE HERE ON eBay WITH VERY UNPROFESSIONAL SELLER: pricebreak-deals! THEY WILL REALLY BREAK YOUR DEAL! PriceBreak.com / ebay seller: pricebreak-deals whoever sent me that FAKE TRACKING NUMBER AND USED PHONE THAT IS NOT WHAT I BOUGHT, YOU SHOULD BE AWARDED THE MOST DISGRACEFUL PERSON HERE ON EARTH! I want to send you to another planet, but on a second thought, I also wouldn't want to send someone as heartless as you! You should be ashamed of yourself, if you do have one!

We ordered this GPS based on the reviews and the price.

We were only a little disappointed when it arrived and didn't work - assuming any company would have run in such a thing before, and wouldn't have a problem exchanging it.

When we contacted THE COMPANY, they issued a return authorization right away, as you'd expect, but said that the purchaser would have to pay the postage for the return. This is a little unusual, but we were sure a note, or phone call would clear it right up.

When it didn't, we posted a review of our experience to that point. Oftentimes customer service will pick up on a sore spots and rectify things pretty quickly. And, at first blush, this seemed like exactly what THE COMPANY did. We got a call after the review went up and postage was worked out within 10 minutes. All very happily.

What happened next is something appropriate for Halloween, or at least a cheap Stephen King fan fic:

The following day, and for the next week... once twice in the same day, THE COMPANY called to ask when we'd be taking down what they considered a bad review. They pestered, they went over details, they pleaded... all before the replacement had ever been shipped.

Now how could we have become a satisfied customer, when the defective product had not even been put in the mail yet?!?

After a week of calls, escalating in pitch on both sides, RAKUTEN called with the shipping/tracking number of the replacement unit. The poor fellow making this call got the treatment THE COMPANY had earned with their harassment. But, luckily, was able to break the cycle by stating that he only wanted to give us the number and nothing more.

Of course later that day, THE COMPANY called again... to see if we were now satisfied with out purchase and willing to revise our review. We made sure they knew what we would like them to do! And it included not calling again.

The GPS finally arrived two days ago and seems to work perfectly, so there is a happy ending.

However, I would strongly suggest to this company that high-pressure tactics, and daily follow-up calls, are the hallmark of shallow little companies that are sometimes not strictly on the up-and-up. Complaints being dealt with right away is great - more than great... but you can't expect bad reviews to evaporate until there's something new to tell.
