Scam beware!
January 2, 2021

I received a free delivery no coupon needed on screen offer. I placed the order and only AFTER I placed the order a reciept came up with a $5 delivery charge. There was also a message that the order could not be canceled. I contacted Postmates and explained the situation. They told me there was no such offer available. I know there is because I saw it on the screen when I placed the order. I am very unsatisfied and angry. Beware of this scam. Regardless of the offer they give U you will charged for the delivery. And there is no way out of it. Beware!

Postmates Steals Your Money

I ordered food that came out to be 28.01 but then was charged 48.26. On my receipt the charges don't add up so I guess postmates just likes to overcharge and steal your money. On top of that, they make it impossible to receive help or customer service through the app. So I called customer service and was given a 59 minute wait time, but I was literally on the hold for a hour and fifty minutes. Then when I was told my wait would be 2 minutes, my call was disconnected. I have never come across such horrible customer service. I've already filed a case with the Better Business Bureau not only for this incident but Ive been having multiple issues with Postmates, which doesn't seem to care or rather just completely ignore their customers all together. If you want to use a food deliver app, STAY AWAY FROM POSTMATES!

Stole money

Please do not use this service. I ordered Wendy's today and the total is around $20, the service fee is $7, and it charges me total $40 for this order. I don't know why. Maybe they just want to stole money

Do NOT use this service! FRAUD!

I believe that PostMates has an urgent matter to attend to. I am certain that fraud is occurring. I placed an order for 3 plates of food, each costing less than $10. I was charged $71.44 and the food never arrived. I spoke with customer service within two minutes of the app telling me the food had been delivered. Postmates told me the driver left because I didn't answer the door. There are two things wrong with this story: First - I was sitting in front of the front door with the dog who barks whenever a car stops at our house. Second - with contactless delivery, it wouldn't be uncommon for someone to not answer the door. Then Postmates told me that the driver delivered it to a neighbor's house. I told them that wasn't true either given that from the time I realized no food was at my door or my garage, I started walking the cul-de-sac to see if it had been left at the wrong door. Then Postmates told me that the driver left the food in the wrong neighborhood. Come on! It's obvious there was never any delivery and this was intentional. I told them I did NOT want a credit and they told me they issued a refund. Three days later, I called Postmates because I had not received the refund. Postmates told me I had been issued a credit AND THAT I HAD USED THE CREDIT ALREADY! Now, one of these things happening is BAD SERVICE, but ALL of these things scream INTERNAL FRAUD. In all of this, I discovered that I am calling a company outside of the USA, so I have lost all faith that I will get my money back at all.

Changed the price

I checked out with $39.54 total after huge delivery fee's and service fee's. FIne. The amount on my credit card charged raised to $45 and it posted. Do not buy they are hoping to take orders from $#*!s who don't check

AVOID AT ALL COST!

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. We ordered $106 worth of food. They added $25 service fee, $8.75 22.99% fee, a $6.99 delivery fee, and a $5 tip! Seriously?! That is $45 worth of fees for a $106 worth of food. Add to that, after waiting over an hour for our food, one of the meals was missing. They wouldn't refund the cost of the meal (who wants to wait another hour for cold food) but gave us a Postmate credit. As if I would ever use this service again! Two days later, another charge showed up on our credit card for $143 and now our bank is investigating the fraud.

Not a good buying option

Used these guys twice for pickup. Both times I was given very bad pickup times and went to receive cold food. Would not reccomend for pickup service. Can't review delivery. Just won't ever use pickup ever again.

Don't Ever Use Postmates!

I placed an order twice and each time, the postmate pretended to drop off the items when instead they simply drove by and kept my family's food items! Postmates issued a credit but I don't a credit; I have requested my money back! Their postmates are scammers and canmot be trusted and neither can the company be trusted! Do not so business with Postmates! You will never see your order!

This must be a criminal organization to promote theft of products they are supposed to deliver. This order was supposedly delivered at 2 a.m. on the same day and many hours before I placed the order with Apple at 4:30 p.m.

On December
On December 19,2020, I placed an order through the Bertucci's website. Post mates was supposed to deliver it 3 hours ago. At 6:32 pm, I got a text from Postmates stating that my order had been picked up by "Manuel" and would be delivered in 18 min. No delivery was made ( I have a camera recording). At 7:30 pm, I called Bertucci's and was advised to call back at 8:30 pm to speak to manger. At 8:30 pm, I called Bertucci's and the manager told me that a female Postmates delivery driver had picked up my order over an hour ago. Apparently, she stole the order, as no other texts have been sent or responded to by Postmates driver. Maybe a call to the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office will result in Postmates being more responsible and better supervision of their employees. I wonder how many other orders have been stolen.

Management does not care!

This would be the second review that I have ever written in my life, I have over 80 deliveries from Postmates. I was angry at myself as I am at Postmates, they just don't care they started off years ago it was awesome, but the last 20 deliveries 10 of them have been a nightmare and five of them I never got delivered they don't call and care they don't say I'm sorry the restaurant calls most recently daddy dogs the manager called and said we are so sorry. If you use these people because their management will never call you. You're at the mercy of the driver and they don't care please listen to this I promise you I am telling you nothing but the fact find a Nother way to get your food delivered to you read this post mates will let you down every time I promise you.

I've been using Postmates since they first became available in LA years ago. The service has become so horrible now that everything seems to be delivery due to the ridiculous restrictions in CA. Since there's an extreme demand for delivery services, it seems Postmates requires nothing from their employees other than having a vehicle. The delivery people are total brain-dead zombies nowadays. Most of them seem as high as a kite! For the last few weeks, the brain-dead delivery people have been going to different places other than my address. They only go by the stupid GPS dot instead of the address! How stupid could one be?! The condo building I reside-in is an entire square block. Yes, my condo might be in the se area of the building, but my address is still the street one block over as displayed on my account. But, no... those idiots only look at the dot and park a block away telling me they arrived. I have to continuously argue with them, telling them I'm standing outside in front of my damn place and they are no where to be found. They actually argue with me as if I don't know where in the hell I live! How stupid could one be?! Look at the damn address on the order! Done using this service. I'm just going to cook for myself.

POSTMATES IS THE WORSE!

I honestly hate driving for Postmates.
It's impossible to reach them most times. If a merchant is closed and you ask customer to cancel most won't because of a cheap $#*! $4 cancellation fee therefore if you don't cancel ( messing up your ratings) the order will stay on your phone soooo whichever stupid customer who made you miss out on money wins over 4 damn dollars. POSTMATES IS ABOUT CUSTOMERS NOT DRIVERS!

I learned that my MasterCard offers a $5.00 discount on restaurant delivery orders placed with Postmates so I thought I would try it out. What a mistake. The total amount for the food ordered was $43.96. That is the only thing I don't dispute. After contacting Postmates three times to inquire about and complain that my charge was way too high, I received the following e-mail that explained my outrageous bill.---
After looking into your order total, I found that the amount you were charged is accurate for the items you received.
[The restaurant] specified that your order costs $43.96, and I've outlined the cost of our services here:
Subtotal: $43.96 + Tax: $0.00 + Service Fee (20.99%): $9.23 + Delivery Fee: $5.75 + Discounts: $0.00 = Total: $58.94 -----! Service Fee (20.99%): $9.23! Nowhere on their website does it state they charge that exhorbitant service fee. And where is my $5.00 discount? Not there. It took 3 e-mails to explain it to them and they come back not willing to budge or admit that I was overcharged. Needless to say, I will not be using this "service" again. Good luck to you if you want to try Postmates.

Avoid at all costs

We ordered through postmates on accident because a local restaurant uses them for delivery. After getting to our apartment complex our driver had difficulty finding our address, which is not uncommon. When we tried contacting her through text we got no response, and when we called we got a robot asking for our party's extension, so we knew it was a fake number. The driver never tried to contact us and dropped our food at a random apartment so she could mark it as delivered. After creating a postmates account so we could actually contact support AND sitting on hold we only received a partial refund and the rest as credit to use postmates in the future because "tips are gifts" and can't be refunded. So lucky us, we have credit to a service we would never use.

DO NOT use postmates under any circumstances.

Food delivered (from 4 miles away) 30 minutes late. Cold and inedible. By the drivers admission she 'got lost". So it takes you, in the age of GPS, 36 minutes to find my house? You don't ca;; or text? You don't apologize? And customer service? I email and get several different people who all tell me it is not their fault. WHAT?! Your drive admitted it was!

SCAM THEIR DRIVERS

BEWARE! They do not like to cash out your earnings. They will give you 100 excuses why your money is not being deposited and blame it on your bank. Every tech support person that responds to your emails give you a different excuse but no resolution. When you call and talk to someone on the phone you are on hold for an hour to get yet another excuse and told they will have to "research" and call you back which NEVER happens. It is VERY pathetic that they are taking advantage of people in a pandemic and not paying them. I guess I should just give up on the money I am owed that I worked hard for, it wasn't much but would have bought groceries for my house.

Tonight I ordered from Chick-fil-A using the Postmates app. I ordered & was charged $3.50, plus tax, for a bottle of their delicious sauce, which I never received. I submitted a claim via the Postmates app which indicted they would credit me 79 cents on my next order for the $3.50 item I never received. WHAT?! What about the additional $2.74, plus tax you still owe me? And what if I don't want a future Postmates order credit? What if I want it credited back to my original form of payment? So I called their customer service, the first person I spoke with immediately said, oh, its all been taken care of already. Whoa there, no mention of the fact that I was only getting 79 cents. I asked for my full refund so of course she had to transfer me to a "specialist". The "specialist" couldn't actually refund that HUGE dollar amount of $3.50, plus tax, so he had to KEEP ME ON HOLD FOR 40 MINUTES while he waited for "an even higher up specialist" to provide an authorization code. Then, I had to wait while yet "another specialist" actually applied the credit to my credit card! All this for a refund of $3.50, plus tax. I know why Postmates does this. Most people will just give up. Imagine if you multiplied $3.50 times all the people who won't wait on the phone for almost an hour! That's a whole lotta $! Well Postmates just lost a customer over this. I WILL NEVER USE POSTMATES AGAIN & I'm telling everyone I know how they tried to steal from me! Postmates is nothing but a bunch of thieves who use dishonest tactics to steal from their customers! UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: I NEVER RECEIVED THE CREDIT I WAS PROMISED! And after multiple attempts at calling & emailing their "Customer Service" (for lack of a better word!), I finally gave up. So Postmates got to keep my $3.50, plus tax that they stole from my bank account for a product I never received. Wow, I wonder how many customers they've stolen from? Add them all up together & I'll bet Postmates generates TONS of $ by ripping off the unsuspecting American public!

Biggest Scam
December 13, 2020

I had some issues with a Postmates order and called customer service. After 15 minutes on the phone waiting, I reached the customer service person. She asked me a few questions about my issue, but said before helping me, she needed my social security number. What? Why would she need my social security number in order to refund money to my card. After hanging up, she repeatedly called me from a different phone number. Never use this service, it's overpriced and a scam.
