My first time using Postmates yesterday. Only used because my employer provided a gift card, so that we could have lunch delivered to us individually during a meeting. The food total was $26. The service fee $6. The delivery fee $19! Never having used a delivery service such as this, I had no idea how much delivery fees should be. I am just a fool for going ahead and submitting the order. I tried calling the number I found online and was never picked up by a person and sat on hold for 120 minutes 47 seconds. Yes, I intentionally held that long! At the beginning of the call, the computer voice said hold time was 57 minutes. Randomly throughout the call it would say that the hold time was about 2 minutes less than the last time it said what it would be. When it was finally down to "hold time approximately 1minute" it then disconnected me! I tried reaching out through their Facebook site via a message. I explained what had happened and was told there's no issue with the delivery fee as it was during a peak time. Whatever! The order was placed at 10:30 am and had an expected delivery time of 11:06 am. The other co workers who used the service during the same time did not have a delivery charge that high. It was 8 miles from my house. Will never use again and highly recommend no one else to support this sort of business practice.
All i wanted was a pint of ice cream - they say it delivered and show the package but not the doorway - it was obviously the wrong house - and you have to wait forever on the phone for a refund. What an awful service p- they should be put out of business.
I placed an order and waited an hour and a half for it to get cancelled. I was paired with eight different postmates. I was given a run around when I called and they left me with excuses instead of food. Do not order from postmates unless you love to have your food not arrive.
I ordered never received and was charged. How can it be any worse than that. The driver showed delivered, so she may have just taken my food... I DON'T KNOW, i JUST KNOW I WAS CHARGED AND DID NOT RECEIVE MY FOOD! And, customer service is ignoring me. RIP OFF! RIP OFF! RIP OFF! My first and last experience with Postmates.
Their drivers don't follow instructions and often are quite late. They have even left my food outside without telling me where it was. Order at your own risk.
This evening I ordered a dinner and paid extra for the priority delivery since the time before I used this app it took almost and hour to receive my order once it was picked up from the restaurant.
Once the order was confirmed I had a guaranteed arrival for 9:09pm then it change to 9:19pm then arrived at 9:29pm. When the delivery guy finally arrived I explained to him that this was supposed to be a priority delivery he told be he was not aware of that...
The burger was cold, the milkshake was melted. This was a $20 meal that I paid $40 for. I tried to call the costumer service number and a representative told me I qualified for a refund but said I would have to talk with a supervisor. She then put me on hold. I gave up after 25 minutes. Never got the issue resolved. All in all I was guaranteed a delivery with in 30 minutes. It took an hour and I was on hold with costumer service for 30 minutes.
I waisted an hour in a half of my time and paid $40 for a cold $20 meal. This was supposed to be a service for convenience but instead it was a Huge inconvenience. I will be deleting this app!
The service charges were outrageous, but coupled with the fact that I didn't receive half of my order, and the call center for resolution put me on hold SIX times! It took 56 minutes to get a refund for the missing items. I was in the middle of my work day, and the call center couldn't even locate my account, much less get anything else correct. That took 15 minutes alone. NEVER EVER will I use this service again. EVER.
Postmates is a shady, rip-off outfit that thrives on and exploits ambiguity. They are deliberately hard to reach. You may believe you are ordering "delivery" but will be bait and switched into "pick-up". If you try to cancel, be prepared for an arduous, lengthy, bank-involved, fraud dept involved odyssey designed to take your money and wear you down until you give up - like an insurance company.
There is a reason this site has a one star rating in aggregate. Consider yourself warned.
You all really need to do a better job at streamlining a refund process with merchants that doesnt Involve The run around For the customer. 4 items missing from my order and all they did was blame each other while failing to resolve my refund. Very ghetto.
Hooked me by offering free delivery, but then at checkout added $6 in service fees (beside the delivery credit and on top of increased food charges and tax.) Greedy & Dishonest. Can't give them my business.
Don't order from them if you don't want your bill to go from $37 to $52 because they delivered the wrong items. The addition on the Postmates web doesn't even add up. And they won't refund your money back. This happens all the time. Horrible company.
Ordered food from Ruth's Chris at 6:15. They told me it was picked up. It never arrived. At 8:45 postmates cancelled the order. There was no cell number or email address to check on the order during this time. Never will I ever order for a restaurant that contracts thru Postmates.
To start off we are in the middle of a pandemic. I ordered $50 worth of food, my last $50 at that. The system cancelled my order, and they already took my money out of my account. I called customer service & they told me the system automatically issued the refund and it'll take 1-3 business days to return in my account (which I understand). Anyway I asked them if they could credit me because I needed to feed my house hold now, not in 1-3 business days. They offered me $5 in credits and said they couldn't do anything higher. I hung up and called again and was able to get in touch with a supervisor named Harold S. I then let the supervisor know the situation, he offered me $10 in credits and said he couldn't go any higher, and the only thing he could tell me was "it was a system error" to why my order got canceled in the first place. He would not put me otp with someone higher who I could speak with. The tone in his voice sounded like he didn't care that I couldn't feed my household for a system error that had nothing to do with me.
I have had Postmates several times and everything is usually wrong something missing or sometimes wrong order completely I think they need to get a better structure with place of who they work with I have had several places say that they just take your money and can't do anything about it at all so let's try to get this situation resolved because those people out there trying to do there job r getting messed up with there money because of this
I placed an order with Frickers in West Chester OH through Postmates site on 1/15/21. The driver called me and said that they were out of some of the items that I ordered. I called the restaurant and they said that they had no record of my order. I also called a different location of Frickers (I'm located between two of them), and they also didn't have a record of my order. When the driver arrived, the food was from Cane's, not Frickers. I ordered 20 wings, which Cane's doesn't have, so the sent me 20 tenders. With 1 small container of sauce (gee Cane's - where's the common sense here?). Obviously I didn't get the sides I ordered from Frickers, since PostMates ordered from the wrong restaurant. What a great meal - chicken tenders with barely any sauce.
PostMates doesn't let you call them - no phone number on their site. The only way to contact them is by filing a complaint via email through their site. I received a response fairly quickly, stating that someone would call me today. It' 6:30 PM, and no phone call yet.
With "customer service" like this, no wonder. They had to sell themselves to Uber.
We have tried Postmates 5 times now. Have been giving them a try as we are supporting our local restaurants. Well folks here's the bad news, 4 out of the 5 ordereS were wrong. We keep getting a credit
On our account for their mistakes so we think, ok, let's give them another try. Just don't bother. Stay as far away from this delivery service as you can. Oh and on more thing. If they ever telll you they will credit your bank account don't believe it. It's been over a week, no credit and I've been on hold for over an hour with them telling me my wait time is 1 to 2 minutes.
This was a simple order. The delivery person placed my order with the restaurant because they don't have a machine like Grub Hub uses. I ordered a pizza and a Shrimp Parmigiana dinner. The delivery person told the restaurant it was a Shrimp Parmigiana Hero! The restaurant asked him if he was sure it was a hero (because I get the dinner all the time) and he said he was sure it was a hero. WRONG! On top of that, I was charged the much higher price for the dinner, not for a hero. When I complained all Postmates did was give me a $6 and change POSTMATES CREDIT! If they can't get one simple order correct, and I've paid a big difference, why would I use them again? Plus the service charges are ridiculous. BUYER BEWARE! If you value your money and want to get what you order, steer clear of Postmates!
Ordered my food and after I hit SEND, they hit me with a $25 delivery fee and a $25 tip to the driver on my $165 order? Tried canceling the order, but no way to call. Site is AWFUL. Finally got a number from the delivery guy, who said call this number and they'll refund the fees. So I've been on hold for an hour with the company and NO ANSWER. No answer to email, no answer to online questions.
I'm persistent, so I figure I'll go ahead and wait the 59 minutes they say I'll have to wait to talk to a customer service rep to get my refund. I wait 20 minutes and the wait time goes down to 54 min. I wait about 30 more, and the wait goes BACK UP to 59 minutes. So they have no intention of ever answering the phone. Now I have to dispute the charge.
Place one order that was cancelled. Then I'm being charged $99.99 for a year subscription. Tried to call and have been placed on hold for 59 minutes. Need to report to BBB, this seems like a fraudulent company.
Today was the first and last time I will be using postmate. During the time I was expecting the delivery, postmate cancelled stating they had no drivers for delivery. My food was sitting waiting for pick up. I had to leave my home and pick it up myself. Never again,.

Answer: Their app has all type of glitches and issues they did the very same to me I didn't even sign up for their free trial but I am now having to dispute a charge of 95.88 on my account. I was charged for orders I never got and also I reached out to them multiple times never got anything back. They actually put on the app that the order was resolved when I have never spoken to them this company is a fraud and I do not know why they are still in business! I'd say remove your card information.
