I'm not sure if I just fluked it, but this site saved me from all those others! I joined PS in Sept 2022 after a brief time on Tinder and being too afraid of telling potential partners about HSV. I had a few messages straight away but one that I particularly liked. We cut the usual never ending messaging short, spoke on the phone easily for over an hour and organised a date the following week. We hit it off instantly. He proposed on our 1 year anniversary! So for me, this site was great otherwise we would never have met!

This app is garbage. Unless you pay $34 a month, anyone can message you from anywhere in the world constantly so my DM's are overwhelmed with people I have no interest in. If you don't pay for premium, you can't talk to any other members who aren't premium either. You also can't add any info to your bio such as Snapchat to help someone contact you if you aren't premium. This just feels like a kick when you're already down. This app is clearly profiting off of manipulating a vulnerable group of people and it's $#*!ed up. Not worth it, even the free version.

We constantly strive to deliver a high-quality experience for all of our users while also ensuring the sustainability of our platform. As part of this effort, some premium features have been introduced which require a subscription fee.

By offering these paid options, we aim to improve user safety by reducing fake profiles or spam accounts on the platform. Additionally, they enable us to invest in innovative technologies and provide better customer support services.

Please note that as a standard member with limited access, you can still send likes to match with others, send winks, and leave comments. Additionally, you can browse through profiles to get an idea of potential matches. This allows you the opportunity to make an informed decision about whether upgrading is the right choice for you.

I belive this site is run by a bunch of racists. I created an account some time ago that got suspended after providing the information they requested. Only to hear that they do not provide service in my country despite having it listed there. Please be careful when sending these people your IDs.

I just created a profile today. Being a single mom who has HVS is hard and being rejected is harder so I thought let's try it. Had appropriate picture of me.and filled out my normal stuff and then out of nowhere I'm logged out and was said to verify which I did and then get told it's suspended so I emailed to which I was told my account was deactivated and if i wanted to I could appeal. Sad to because it was nice talking to some great people

Based on the information you provided, it seems like your account was suspended and then deactivated after verification. We understand how frustrating this must be for you as you were enjoying conversations with some great people.

To resolve this issue, please provide us with more details regarding the suspension or deactivation of your account by emailing our support team.

Our team will then review your case thoroughly and get back to you as soon as possible. Please keep an eye on both your inbox and spam folder just in case our response ends up there accidentally.

I've had an account on this site for years (probably 10 or more?) that I didn't interact with much. A subscription seemed pretty pricey and a lot of time on the site I wasn't even living in the US. I had noticed a couple notifications that I had traffic on my profile so I tried to sign in only to to find myself suspended. I have not even contacted anyone on this site in years, and hadn't been on the site weeks if not months. Funny that one day they are trying to lure me to the site with activity and the literally next day I'm suspended. I contacted them and they want a picture of photo ID with only my license number blacked out. I emailed back asking for a reason for the suspension as I didn't want to provide my ID without knowing there was a chance I could be unsuspended. I do use a VPN and sometimes it connects to some random wacky countries, so if it was as simple as you signed on from another country I don't see why they can't tell me that and we can resolve an issue like that.

But they emailed back stating they can't tell me why and assuring me my data will stay confidential. To which I said no thanks, you can't actually guarantee that, you could have a bad apple employee or be victim of a hack. That is not really a site I want my association with leaked.

So one star - in part because of the above, and in part because this site has always felt like a bit of a cash grab trying to exploit the situation the members find themselves in.

Our security measures sometimes result in accounts being suspended if certain activities raise flags, such as unusual login patterns or other behaviors that may indicate a potential risk to the site's integrity or our users' safety.

We take privacy and data protection very seriously, which is why we request photo ID verification when necessary. This helps ensure the security of all user accounts on our platform. Your data will be handled securely and confidentially by our team.

If you would like further clarification on why your account was suspended, please do not hesitate to reach out again so we can assist you accordingly.

There are a lot of old/inactive profiles...slim pickings. When ever my subscriptions ends and I do not renew, I suddenly have a slew of views/likes (which I cannot see unless I pay), likes from profiles that are suddenly hidden, and several messages. Where were these individuals when I was a premium member. I think its a ploy of Positive Singles to pull you back in as a paying member so you can see who views or likes you.

Updated: Regarding response from PS Rep: "Additionally, as a premium member, certain features are available exclusively during your subscription period which could contribute towards an increased visibility of these activities afterward." Naw, uht un. Increased visibility afterwards...every time I did not renew...Case in point, My point exactly!

Tip for consumers:
This is found on the site..."Per PS":
"You have the right to cancel your subscription without any penalty or obligation. For any full / prorated refund inquiries within a reasonable time frame or if you wish to make changes to your PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP, please contact our customer service at *******072 / *******593 (Toll-Free) or email us. Regarding the sudden increase in views/likes and hidden profiles after your subscription ends, we want to assure you that Positive Singles does not engage in any ploys or tactics to manipulate user experiences. Our goal is always to provide a positive dating environment.

It's important to note that member activity varies over time, and sometimes people who were less active before might become more engaged later on. Someone hacked my account on ps. And it was a whole big thing. They deleted my account because I wouldn't date them. They got caught etc. etc.
Well, the person that was hacking me was literally blocking me from talking to potential matches and being able to be on a blog without somebody having a set up a trap to disrespect me. So if I was chatting with people that was nice and kind, I wasn't allowed to chat with those people. I was only specifically allowed to talk to people who would disrespect me then when the problem became bigger and I contacted PS customer service about my account instead of helping me with my account they deleted my whole account And they blocked me from further making a new account. I never met anybody on there. I don't plan on meeting anybody on there. It was just a little app. I downloaded on my phone and I really started to like it because it was almost like Facebook and now I'm locked out of there so even when I go and sign up with a different email address, it directs me to already account suspended and I'm forced to upload photos of my license of myself, etc. etc. That is not safe for anybody having my photo or my name my address or my license number through the Internet. I was typing anything because I knew what was going to happen. It's like I'm blacklisted with ps because my account is suspended before I can even finish creating the profile and changing emails doesn't make a difference when it should. Now I contacted ps to help with my account and instead of receiving help and protecting my information I was punished even further. You just helped the hacker you (profanity)

Tip for consumers:
You have a choice to use the free service or you can sign up for the membership which is way too expensive because it’s like Facebook that you have to pay for and it doesn’t even have all the features that Facebook does have so there’s no point in actually purchasing so I never purchased a membership

I used this site for a couple of years, and then out of the blue, they say I have violated the terms of use. Well I had not, and when asked they gave no answer about what I had done. I protested, they said well send a copy of your drivers license and we will reinstate you. I sent it, was back on, and a few days later, suspended again. Numerous emails and calls to customer service were ignored. Still suspended. I would give zero stars if I could.

PositiveSingles has been online for over 22 years. The website spent a lot of money to build the No.1 STD online dating user base and provide 7*24 hours of customer service.

Dear Jamie B, if you want to save a few bucks, it can be $15.99 per month. You can get significantly less expensive the longer the term you select. Was already in a horrible spot, and the site made it impossible to connect unless you paid a MASSIVE 45 dollar monthly fee, so I desperately paid and by the end of the day they had deactivated my account with no refund! They should be ashamed of running a scam like that! I'm beyond upset about my situation and now even more so that I've been degraded and used because of my desperation. They promote hope, yet strip you of it. If I could give less than one star I totally would. They are disgusting, don't even make an account.

Tip for consumers:
Stay away as far as possible, they just want to take your money and degrade you.

In less than 24 hrs my account was locked because of unauthorized activity, or some b. S. from there. I was told to download my drivers license as proof of who I was. Online dating scams – also known as romance scams or romance fraud – take place when someone believes they have made a connection or match through an online dating site or app – but the person they are talking to is, in fact, a scammer using a fake profile. The scammer manipulates or grooms the other person to gain their trust over time – ultimately so they can either ask them for money or obtain enough personal information about them to steal their identity.

Regardless of platform or app – Facebook catfish scams, Instagram dating scams, Plenty of Fish scams, Snapchat meetup scams, and so on. Online dating scams often prey on vulnerable users. You can contact PositiveSingles customer service at 1-416-628-1072 / 1-833-408-2593 (Toll-Free) to resolve your login problem. As a reliable online STD dating platform, we do care about our members' privacy and safety.

I'm a real person, using the free version of the app. Had been sparsely messaging a user when he asked to continue our messaging on snap chat, to which I told him I barely use. Fast forward two days later when user deleted me as a friend on snap, so I messaged him on PS. He was angry as how long it took me to respond and claimed that's why he had removed me. No big deal. We continue chatting then he sent me the most foul, rude and unnecessary message calling me names and being downright ugly to me for no reason other than he was angry? And then reported me. I tried contacting PS support to report him, instead I was suspended. I wrote to PS customer support to which I received:

" We have checked some unusual details in your account and detected you as a
Scammer. We strictly prohibited scammers from our website/App.

Best regards,

Bond"

I'm a real person, not scamming anyone. What the actual **** is going on? I don't get it, it's hurtful to encourage and defend abusive users and throw away actual people who are looking to meet people. I'm blown away by this. Tried calling customer support, no answer. Tried again, someone picked up then wouldn't say anything. I'm speechless treatment of women like this is applauded and supported. Shame on you PS. Horrendous treatment, ladies stay away. This site is dangerous and run by someone who is morally bankrupt and has no conscience.

Tip for consumers:
Don’t bother. Dangerous site run by predators who support verbal abuse.

This site is disgusting, and you have to hope the owners/operators end up in hell. They defraud people with an STD who are simply looking for to find love and happiness. What is more low than that? Most profiles of attractive women are fake. That's to get men to open up their wallets and pay for memberships. They even have people who work there who send you messages making you think these attractive women are interested. BURN IN HELL MOTHER$#*!ERS.

The site has changed. The blacks can put Looking for an African Brother but if a White person is only looking for their own race they will freeze your account. 8f you comment on a black person's blog that is for everyone. They will bully you even if you make sense. They are very discriminating. I have had people from that site stalk me.They give out your personal info. This site is dangerous and white people are not safe on there. If you are republican or Christian they also hate you. I had people get mad because I did not want to to date a democrat. If it's private and our stuff is personal so should be our experience. I have met lots of Russians, Nigerians on a peace keeping mission. There is also tons of Goverment officials on the site investigating everyone who loves God or is republicans. The site is so dangerous.

I have paid for a premium membership but cannot use the service. Most of the day, when I try and log on it won't connect. There's a window in the mid morning and late evening when I can get on. The rest of the time I reckon their server is overloaded. I have tried from multiple devices, and on wifi and data and it doesn't make any difference. I contacted PS customers services explaining the issue in full and attaching screenshots. They replied ' we can see you have logged on'. That was it! There's someone I want to give my phone number to on the site, but after that I will be cancelling my account. Shabby

They supply customer service email address that does not respond. I submitted 5 emails requesting a 3 month refund. I have called customer service phone number and no one answers. Their site explains "no refunds" if u cancel through your bank. So far... 3 additional charges have been made... no phone answer... no refund... no customer service email response. So I am about to cancel through my bank. I will not be refunded, but at least these leaches will get no more money from me. I discourage ANYONE considering this site from signing up.

The so-called "2 318 900+ members registered on the site" isn't exactly truthful -- it's outright misleading.

The majority of the members are either inactive and/or fake users without a profile picture. Most people discover earlier on how poor the Positive Singles experience is & then leave to never return. If PS was fair, they'd boot people off of the site after having been inactive for more than six months. But that would interfere with their ability to market the site and bolster their user count.

In your first two to three pages of search results you'll find people who were recently active to last logged in more than a week ago. You'll have one to two pages of people who were last logged in two weeks to more than a month ago. And then you'll have over ten+ pages of users who don't have a picture assigned to their profiles (and usually last logged in more than a month ago). These profiles supply the bulk of the over 2 million+ users PS likes to brag about having on their site.

If you absolutely HAVE to buy a membership, please just purchase one month, you'll regret purchasing a larger membership. A one month will allow you to message every local you're interested in at least two to three times before it expires (good luck getting a reply back from someone who hasn't logged on in over a month).

Positive Singles is literally a derelict ghost town of abandoned profiles. User retention doesn't seem to be one of their strong suits. I wouldn't recommend using this site, but I would strongly advise against paying these parasites anything. They profit off of exploiting people suffering from a horrible, stigmatizing condition. Pay, and use at your own discretion.

I am not happy that my account was deleted for no reason today so I want to expose this company for what they are, are scam! I have been a member of this site for 12 years and can tell you that 80% of all new profiles are fake. When I logged into this website daily I flagged a minimum of 25 fake profiles in less than 10 minutes. I previously owned a STD dating website so I can spot a fake dating profile a mile away. This website created tens of thousands of fake profiles when it launched the site so users would pay to contact fake profiles.

I was an affiliate of this company for years until today when my dating account was deleted. Now instead of promoting them I am going to publish thousands of these truthful reviews warning others and exposing this scam for what it is.

This site is not based in Silicon Valley, that is nothing but a mailing address. The owner of this company is a Chinese national and all employees are in China. How do I know this? Because I tracked them working on my positivesingles affiliate dating website and performing customer service. I saw they were from CHina by analyzing the website tracking scripts I have installed on the website.

This company has been a fraud since it launched it tens of thousands of fake profiles and it is a fraud now. If you want your personal information in the hands of the Chinese government then by all means join this website.

Tip for consumers:
Never pay because like others have said they will delete your account and keep your money and not refund it.

You'll get as far as a message, and maybe even a text message to your phone but that's it. There were at least three times I got a message on the website, initial "hello nice to meet you" text message before the conversation abruptly ended. There are several fake accounts on this website which seem to be run by the owners/management to artificially inflate the number of members on the website/keep you renewing your subscription. And they make sure you don't post such information on your profile page. VERY SHADY.

Don't believe the statement that this is a Silicon Valley company. This is a lie. This company is wholly based in China. All employees are in China and the owner is a China national. All profile and personal info of all members is in the hands of the Chinese. I would not be surprised if the Chinese Government is not getting profile information as well. Everything about this company is a scam including the tens of thousands of fake profiles they created when they launched the site. This only thing this site wants from you is your money. How do I know this? I use to be one of their marketing partners!

Tip for consumers:
Don't pay to become a member because the only people who contact you are scammers.

I was on the site for over a year and kept paying their pricy membership with the hope of finding love. I got depressed dealing with shady people. I used to run background checks and almost all guys I checked, 20 in total are violent offenders. The site has dangerous people who pry on desperate women looking for love. Watch yourself as a woman. I left after realizing how dangerous it can get for a woman. I don't know if the site owner or admins know about the infiltration of these aggressive and demeaning. People on the site. Woman I warn you, watch yourself on that site. I am giving them a star because there is no zero star, scary site, avoid it!

Tip for consumers:
Beware of dangerous men on the site. Crazy predators who hunt desperate women on the site.

I've foolishly tried these charlatans three separate times over a 5 year span and it is a complete and utter con. They take advantage of earnest people's desire to not be lonely by basically forcing you to become a member if you want to have any real results. There's the rub. After increments of one month, two months and 5 months, no hits. Once I canceled my membership I received hits instantly: every time. This obvious ploy to retain your money is so greedy and blatantly clear its shameful. There is a reason these people were sued in a class action lawsuit. Save your money and date normally and just tell them or, $#*! it, spread the love. We desire to not be lonely and these parasites are taking advantage of us. Please don't be a three-peat idiot like me. Also, the same company owns all the top three std/herpes dating sites. It's the biggest clandestine rip off going.
