As an amateur photographer/hobbyist, I enjoy sharing my images and receiving comments and feedback. One drawback though is that you're always competing with professionals, and they are pretty much always going to get the most votes. It would be nice if there were categories of Pro and Amateur to enter into. The contests can be a lot of fun because they often challenge me to go out and take some photos that are perhaps out of my comfort zone to fit into the different contest criteria.
Pixoto is enjoyable for an amateur like me as I can view others' photos, read comments, learn about how people made their shots, and submit my own work.
Pixoto gives me an enjoyable way to get some of my amateur photos out for people to see, and for my peers to rate and comment on.
