I have purchased probably 100 plug ins. At first, he did not require a restart or have access to your Finder on Mac or other areas of your computer. Not only do ALL of the plugins I purchased no longer work (I have not had this issue with any other companies) but he wants you to re-download EVERY plug -in AND he wants access to your data on your computer. No way will I give this guy access. It's one guy running this company and I do not trust a random person having access to my computer, files or data. Are you serious? In this day and time to have access to my information... I think not. Beware when downloading, make sure you read ALL of the prompts.
I teach film at a small community college and we had a dino version of ProWall, that did bot allow us to upload - worked with the online chat and they were amazing and fast, and helped us get the new rebuilt upgrade of the program for free even after all the years have passed since buying the original! Great customer service, great company, great FCPx plug ins!

I have purchased a few Pixel Film Studios plugins. They all bog down my top of the line Mac to the point of no return. Their customer service is not helpful at all. They just send you to an optimization video on Vimeo, which doesn't fix the problem.
All the bad things written about Pixel Film Studios that I have read on MotionVFX and FCP.co appear to be true. They pump out plugins at an insane rate without any kind of quality control. All sizzle, no substance. And judging from the last couple comments on the MotionVFX article, * doesn't even treat his employees very well.

Highly recommend for creatives whose interest is in video editing to get PixelFilmStudios plugins, I purchased all the right tools & FX to create masterpieces. One of them is FCPX Lyric Templates as they helped me polish up the finishing touches to my lyric videos.

I was having an issue getting Pixel Film Studios Maps1.1 to install correctly having upgraded to BigSur. I contacted their support via the live-chat facility. I was greeted within 30 seconds. Offered2 things to attempt and voila! Everything working perfectly.

Most issues can be resolved pretty quickly with all the right information. It always helps to have some screen shots of your Mac Specs and FCPX Version number as well as some screenshots or a screen recording of the issue.

It was difficult at the beginning to understand how the plug in works. (I'm not used with FCPX).
But the support helps and verified first that I had well installed the plug in.

I own a bunch of the Pixel plugins and they are easy to use for the most part. I had trouble reinstalling an old plugin but tech support helped me via chat and got it squared away in a few seconds. Highly recommend. Probably the best FCPX plugins on the market

It works flawlessly in Apple Silicon (M1 Max tested), is very fast and reliable even in 4K. I have to do furthermore testing to explore all the possibilities, but the current project works great.
(tip: the track window only works if FCX is in the main screen)

Running Pro Smoke 1.1 on a Brand-new MacBook pro core i9 with 32GB of ram. Anytime I try to use the plugin, fcpx just freeze with a beach ball. I tried many time, it simply won't work. The link they keep sending on "how to optimize FCPX" is completely useless to my situation. As for my specs, they blow your minimum requirements out of the water.

PFS has become the first place I look for FCPX plugins. Their products are easy to use, well designed and affordable and the selection is vast. It's almost guaranteed that you'll find what you're looking for. The few times I've run into issues their customer service team has been helpful and will go beyond the norm to help fix a problem or guide you toward a valid solution. I wish I could say that about some companies in this field. Bottom line: I rely on PFS and have yet to be let down.

I was legitimately amazed at how quickly the care rep assessed my problem and provided the instruction on how to solve it so quickly. I was having a problem where a plug-in I purchased wasn't allowing me to cut out a mask, I asked the rep and they knew exactly what was wrong. My problem was solved in less than five minutes.

I couldn't figure out how to install a couple plug-ins I purchased. I looked everywhere online, jumping through hoops to try and get it to show on FCP. Nothing worked. I contacted support, and they walked me through the issue so perfectly and efficiently, it was fabulous. 10/10.

First, Pixel Film Studios is an AWESOME company! They sell every tool I could need for professional FCPX projects. The price tag is a fraction of what other companies charge, plus they have weekly sales.
The customer support is awesome - they are available on chat whenever they are open for business, and I always get prompt and thorough support. They even set up a screen share session for me once when something just wasn't getting fixed, and they walked me through fixing it from start to finish. GREAT SUPPORT!
