They advertised a huge buy one get one sale in January 2016, saying they were retiring a lot of their designs. Looks like they took all those orders and the money and closed up shop.
I had ordered from them several times over the last few yrs with no issues. However this time I placed a larger order and never received it. I've e-mailed several times with absolutely no response from them whatsoever.

On February 20 2014 I ordered several T-shirts through piratemod.com and payed via pay pal. I had been in contact with them and discussed a special order of 2 shirts and a free promotional t-shirt. I was emailed a paypal invoice which was paid in full for $60 on Feb 20. After placing this order, I had corresponded with them several times over emails about the order being delayed. Last email from Electic was March 11. Since then I've emailed many times and called and left voice mails with no response. I just would like the items that I ordered or a refund if they cannot be delivered. Thanks.

After three months I never received my purchase. I had to get my bank involved to get a refund. Stay away from these thieves!

1 1/2 years since I placed the order. I have emailed, called and left messages countless times. Twice they responded "we are sorry, we will get that to you ASAP with something extra for your trouble" I wanted what I ordered more than the money back, so I gave them that option. I have threatened them that I will contact my card company and still no response. I wish I could flag their site so customers could not get on there in the first place. I guess they took their pirate theme a little too far... take and give nothing back :) DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY THEY WILL ROB YOU!

Do not purchase anything from piratemod.com, or their sister sites sinistercandy.com. I believe the Parent company is Eclectic By Design. From what I can tell this company is a total scam. They will take your money, will have delays, promise to give you something extra for your trouble, etc. until you are past the time when you can get PayPal to give your money back.

I placed a couple of orders in 9/2014 for over $100. So far nothing has shown up. No communication at all from them unless I contact them. And always an excuse when I do. And never a tracking number. "We are making a point that all orders are cleared before the holidays... so I WILL figure this out.". "Our apologies for the delay - we were waiting for a couple more rolls of giftwrap that had been out of stock. They should be in within this week and your orders will all ship together." "Since it took longer than it should have, I will make sure that you receive a little something "extra" in the box - hopefully that will help make up for the delay - :)"

If by chance the merchandise ever does show up I will update this review accordingly. I wish I had looked for reviews before placing orders with this company. You can try their phone number but I have never had anyone answer *******370.

I've ordered a few times and never had a problems. Luck of the draw maybe?

NEVER ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE, THEY THINK THEY ARE REAL PIRATES AND STEAL YOUR MONEY. I ordered over 9 months ago, no goods, no replies to my emails.

Unlike some other people, I did receive a few responses from the multiple e-mails I sent. They were full of excuses and finger pointing and no resolution. I just want my $19.40 back. I've never worked so hard for a stupid 20 bucks in my life.

I made an order, they charged my credit card, but never shipped the merchandise. It's been 3 months and they ignore email and voicemails (no-one ever answers the phone)
They have an 'F' rating from the Better Business Bureau with over 40 complains in the last 3 years. DO NOT do business with piratemod.com, or any business associated with Eclectic By Design.

I ordered a large pennant from them in August, 2012 and have not received it and it's now November, 2012. I've left several messages by phone and email and heard nothing back. I'm now out $55, and no pennant.

I've ordered a few times from them and their sister site Sinister Candy. I've received the merchandise previously though usually months later after I had forgotten I placed the order. I recently placed an order in January for a gift and it has not arrived, they don't respond to emails and as of yet have not refunded my money.

I totally agree with previous reviewer. I have yet to receive merchandise that I ordered in Dec. And paid for already. Very few replies to all my e-mails and then excuses and promises. I'm sorry I didn't check with California Better Business Bureau or this site first as they had an "F" rating. They are acting more like real pirates. DON'T TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MONEY!

This is my second order with the company. I should have learned the first time! The first order took over a month to ship. Even thought the company is only about 30 miles away!
This is my second order. I was hoping this company had got their act together! I have now sent a third email to the company questioning what is going on with my order... have yet to recieve a response. I placed the order on Nov 26 it is now Dec 18th. Still no reply. My card was charged the same day and that is the last I have heard from the company. I am hesitant to order merch online so I ALWAYS do small trial orders before I commit to large orders. I most likely will be calling my bank to dispute the charge since these were suppopsed to be Christmas gifts but they most likely won't ever be shipped.
BEYOND SAD THAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! THIS COMPANY/PRODUCT LINE HAS GREAT POTENTIAL BUT $#*!TY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO FOLLOW THROUGH ON ORDERS IS NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS

Two years in a row - orders places and no responce - stay away from this site!

DO NOT BUY from this company.
They take your money but don't send you the goods.
They make excuses up and eventually they won't even answer you.
Beware!
When you threaten legal action they suddenly answer you again with the same old excuses,"sorry been away"stalling for time every step of the way... grrrr

They will take your money and never deliver. They rec'd payment in January and to date (May) I have not rec'd my order. Piratemod.com has not responded to my last 3 emails or 2 voice messages.

Wow, I wish I had seen this information before I spent money with this company. I made a purchase on April 20, paid for it and have not recieved it. Today is June 2. I left them many VM and emails. No response at all. I have just filed a complant with the BBB. This compay sucks. Arrrrggg...
