“I hate being taken advantage of like this”

I hate being taken advantage of like this. This website lures you in with a $1.00 charge for information which actually isn't that bad but then they charge your CC with a whopping $18.95 monthly charge! It was kinda funny that after I called them about the dollar charge (my wife had made the original purchase) on my ledger the $18.95 mysteriously popped on there because the fee had already been initiated or some crap like that. Hope you read these reviews before you use them but more then likely you'll be caught by surprise too.

They always tell you they have the information ready, just give them your credit card info and it will be displayed. Never received anything except a note that they would get back to me in 24- 72 hours with the information. When I did the live chat after I saw the immediate charge to my account, they would not give me any company information such as their address.

Agree with all others: this is a huge scam. They suck you in for $1 then bill your card $18.95 monthly. Interesting that their phone message immediately gets all legal-de-gook to make you think you can't fight it. My Chase credit card representative got them to refund the $18.95. Chase provides terrific service! I'm a good reader and was really aggravated thinking of all the $18.95's they were stealing from customers that I decided to try for the refund. I'll think it will come through or Chase will take the next step.

Please, decent people. Do not use their services. They bait you in for $1.00 and then charge yor credit card $18.95/ monthly and it is hell to try to cancel. They will eventually cancel but your$18.95 is gone forever. I am going to BBB in their state right now to complain. Others should do the same. Also for double protection, let your credit card company know... they'll send you papers to stop the monthly billing... These people will go straight to Hell.

It is definitely a scam. I put all the info to generate a report which the website stated was complete and all I had to do was give all my credit card info to access the report. Guess what? After they got my info there was no report! I had a live chat with their cust service who made excuses for why I didn't get it. She said she was not authorized to cancel my membership or issue a refund.

Phoneagentcs.com provided no information, so they were to refund my purchase.
A free search engine provided more data than phoneagentcs.com
Phoneagentcs.com charged me twice for on transaction, took six days to refund my money.
Then phoneagentcs.com charged my visa $18.95 twelve days later, no explanation, no service rendered.

Call my bank, the provided an 800 number for phoneagentcs.com.

Phoneagentcs.com agent could not find my account.

I took two calls to get some one who could.

Call the *******839 number and listen to the welcome message it speaks volumes about this business.

I should have checked before I used this service. I agree they get you for $19.95 before you can blink an eye. I've learned my lesson always check on the web for pros & cons about web sites & services before jumping into the lava pit. Thank you for the opportunity to vent my frustration and hopefully it will help someone else to not make the mistake I have made.

Read fine print, I used the $1.00 lookup which they refunded due to not being able to locate number, but meanwhile signed me up for a monthly $18.95 charge which is not refundable. How do you spell S C A M! Any company with a decent product does not rely on misleading ads and have a nonrefundable policy..

I asked 3 times what I had purchased for $1. No answer. Was offered 50% refund and said I would contest it with AT&T. I was granted 100% refund of the 18.95. Do you suppose it's finally cancelled?

Web site is a rip off, plane and simple. Charged me 1.00 for directory service that yielded 0 information, then slapped me with 18.95 service fee later on my cc.

I too have fallen for the 1.00 one time only charge. With of course the 1.00 processing fee. 2$ down, enter in credit card info read the terms and conditions (as always) nothing said about 18.95 a month or trial membership. Bank account today shows 18.95 charged, WTF. 20.95 down, called number, defense statement right away (who's feeling guilty) man argued w/ me said will only refund me 50% of the 18.95, asked about original refund on 1.00 (50% of one time charges) said nothing and remained quiet till i hung up.@$$4073! Dont fall for this, they say you sign up, but you don't create a username or a password or any kind of account, I guess signing up means " credit card number" GRRRRR.

I tryied to get an address from them and they told me that they need $1.00 to do that and then charged me $18.95. Later. Yhey did not supply information about canceling the membership or having one. They said the phone would be on my crit card statement and they did not have it. On web site they want $4.95 TO get the information to cancel. This is pure SCAM.

This certainly appears to be a complete ripoff site. Scam- fraud. My horrible e4xperience mirrors the other comments about them. My tiny credit card limit is reached- with a second charge- and I'm off to the Better Business Bureau and credit card is dead. They could not answer me- kept trying to dream up obvious excuses. A first for me-

I can only agree with the earlier reviews. The online agent refused to answer my question about the requesting of the $1 charge before I even finished the session because they did not provide me the information I requested and told me that the number I was searching for did not exist in any data banks. Kind of funny that I had a conversation with that person last night. Im going to find where they are and file a complaint with the BBB in their state. Chances are pretty good they arent really in the US. total and complete SCAM

This is a scam in the worst sort of way, but maybe I can help. This company is out of Utah, and has had 63 complaints in 36 months with the BBB. Their real name is Net Soft Media. Go to: http//utah. Bbb. Org and click, check out business or charity. Enter "Net Soft Media", then click "view report".

It is definitely a SCAM! Stay away from it, if possible. I don't know how they got my information (credit card no.) but I was charged $19.95 -- for what I don't know?

I located their website and could not find a phone number. Found word "contact" and clicked on it to find an online "chat" representative. They at first refused to do anything about refunding the charge to me. I got very firm with the rep & said I would not pay it. They made me wait about 12 minutes while they "looked up my account." Guess this was a ploy to make me give up? Finally I sent msg asking what was going on & why was it taking so long. The rep finally came back & said there was nothing they could do about a refund. I wouldn't let it go & it turned into a battle. Rep got offline again to speak w/manager. Came back & offered me a discount of 50% off the charge. I refused. In the end the rep said there would be a full refund (it would take 5-10 days.) I doubt that there will be a refund. They just didn't know how to get rid of me.

This site is a big big SCAM. I used it to find a name attached to a number and charged the $1.00 to my card and what did they do, they started a monthly billing of $18.95 that I never requested. Stay away from this company. They are very dishonest.

I agree with ALL of the above comments. My plan is to contact the FCC (which is easy - use an online form - HOWEVER Phoneagentcs would not give me ANY information about their company - not even their address for "security and privacy reasons" except they did say that they are in the United States. I am already out over $100 and, even after cancelling and getting a cancellation number, they have charged me another $18.95 within two days of the last charge.

The BBB cannot help you if you do not know where they are located. I am going to do what I can to find them and if I can will share that information on this site.
Am on my way to the bank to close my account so that they cannot get any more money out of it.

I called to have phoneagentc scammers to remove the illegal charge of $18.95 but they only agreed to remove half... they supposedly canceled my membership... I never asked for any sort of membership... The really scarey thing is the dam credit card company said they would continue to charge me even if I canced my credit card. That is Mastercard... They help any thief that has gotten you credit card number. I will cancel the card next after my next billing... I'll bet these theives will still try to bill me and Master-$#*! will let them...

Do not use, does not provide info, opted one tine use and was charged for a month and would have continued to charge me if hadn't contacted them. May still charge will have to wait to see. Refused to give me their address to file with BBB in their state. Fraudulent practices, deceptive.

This was the BIGGEST SCAM I HAVE EVER SEEN! I want to warn everyone out there that their money is gone forever if you make the mistake of using this service. Rude customer service and they will argue until the cows come home that you authorized their charges. WARN YOUR FRIENDS. REPORT ABUSE. RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!

The come on is that they will provide background reports for $1 the first week and then there will be a monthly charge of $18.95 per month. THIS IS A BAD COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH AND THEY CAN NOT PROVIDE YOU WHAT YOU NEED. THEY ALSO CHARGED ME AFTER THEY DID NOT PROVIDE ME ANY REPORTS. THEIR RESEARCH DEPARTMENT COULD NOT EVEN GET ME ONE REPORT IN THE FIRST WEEK SO I CANCELED. THEY STILL CONTINUED TO CHARGE ME FOR 3 MONTHS. I HAD CANCELED MY ACCOUNT IN 36 HOURS FROM THE FIRST TIME I USED IT AND ONLY REFUNDED FOR ONE MONTH. THEY HOPE THAT WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL REFUND THAT YOU WILL NOT NOTICE THAT THE COMPLETE REFUND WAS NOT MADE. CHEATS CHEATS CHEATS.
