“I was unsure who was charging my account, because I...”

I was unsure who was charging my account, because I didn't recognize the company's name on my account. This website never made any fraudulent charges to my account, and I no trouble canceling. People should be a little more careful when they publicly review a website. When I looked up this site online, all I could find were reports of fraud. After doing a little research, I discovered who was making these charges. I authorized these charges, but I just didn't remember it.

I regret doing business with them. They keep charging my credit card every now and then for tiny amounts so that I don't notice on daily basis

I paid the initial $1.00 to search for a person as I was doing the census. Well, they kept saying to wait 3 hrs & they would have the info. A week later, they still didn't have the info & were now charging me $18.95. I called my bank, then called them. I actually spoke to a human who said that they would cancel my membership. When asked why they never came though with any info, I heard silence. In other words, it's a big rip-off! <><

They advertised a one dollar fee. I put debit card number in. No report. They then tried to sell me on a multitude of other databases, etc. Spoke with an agent. She said she tried the number but it was not in the database. This was opposite of what I was told when running the number. What a ripoff. Plus they then wanted $18.95 per month debited from my account. Stay away from them...

I had the same experience with phone agent as many other reviewers, and wish that I had seen these reviews prior to my bad experience. Not only did I get charged after I cancelled membership before the trial period was up(site was not helpful), but they continue to charge me monthly! I am cancelling my debit card, so there will be no more charges from this scamming business, and will continue to try to get my money back! If they refuse, my bank will submit reimbursement.

This website is a classic example of how a business can be set up to deceive regular people in thinking they might get a legitimate service and then be SCAMMED. They will take your credit card number and charge it every month for $18 until you call this
*******016 phone number. Then they will claim they can offer a 50% refund on on charge, and try and skirt the responsibility. Finally you can give up after they claim to refund you 4 months of charges. Then sit there in disbelief that they are still in business. Join me and help me find ways to put them out of our society.

I paid one dollar to find an owner of a phone number. Seven days later they took 18.95 from my checking account. When I tried to get my money back they said NO REFUNDS. I told them cancel but I don't trust them so I had to cancel my debit card. I will never use this service again. They are crooks. Beware!

I wanted to look up a name for a phone number, so to be safe I gave a visa pay card that only has about $4.00 on it for the $1.00 charge and it will not ever have any more money on it because it was my friends pay card for a place he doesn't work at anymore. I received confirmation that the card was charged. Just as I suspected it was a scam. I never received my report and my log in won't work. Stay clear of this site.

Complete scam. Keep trying to upgrade you to more expensive options. Initially said they had found the information, but when I paid for and went to get the report there was no information and they said they had to do a "manual search". I cancelled. FYI, I easily found the information on a couple of other search sites. Cost more, but they actually found it.

phoneagentsource.com is the web address
Click on "Terms" at the bottom of the home page and read section (4) Payment Terms and you will exit the site immediately.
All you have to do is enter all X's for a phone number and the process begins. No message will appear that this is an invalid number.
Under "People Search" enter anything eg. "Dead End" and there will be a report for you.
If you have been caught with a membership you don't want enter Customer Service to cancel it before your 7 days trial ends or you will be charged your first monthly fee of $18.95. You will have to start the process all over again by entering a number in the reverse phone lookup and on the next page click on "Contact Us".

This website is an absolute scam! I put in a phone number because it was advertised for "free" lookup. It "seemed" like they found info on the number,
So i paid my $4.95 and nothing! The number didn't exist. The confirmation payment email has an email address for any questions and its not legit.
Why does EVERYTHING have to be a scam?

Total scam; they keep you on the hook promising to have your info if you'll just wait another 72 hours. On the 6th day they hit your card for $18.95 and if you don't get a cancellation confirmation, it will go on and on. I am attempting to contact the A G in the state where they are registered. Any info on them appreciated.

Excellent bunch of rip-off merchants, tried the 7 day thing with me, got a refund email and confirmation number emailed to me ASAP, don't let them try to snow you... Tell them your disputing the charges on your account. They tend to fold after that...

Stay away from this site it is a scam. I clicked the refund my dollar request after they failed to bring up any info on the person I was looking for and I assumed that was it. WRONG the charged my credit card 14 days later an 18 dollar fee. I also had to pretty much get irate with them to get them to cancel my membership imediatly the kept telling me it took 48hrs till i got pist then all the sudden they give me a conformation # that it had been canceled. I hope these scamers get sued its pretty obvious they rip people off

They ripoff my money. Everytime you search your account is created with same email id. So I canceled my membership and they still charged me. When I spoke to customer care. They said for one email id, they can create two accounts for two searches. So they said that i cancelled second one but not first one. They charged me 18.95. Yeah this site sucks. They will rip off with your money.

This is what I sent to cancel my membership? Because they said they would deduct $18.95 USD a month from my credit card for something that did not work:
PhoneAgent staff,
I repeat I am cancelling my membership which I did not intend anyway. I do not want to be ripped off by having regular montlhly deductions from my visa card. To encourage me to part with the initial $1 USD your site said it had a report for me - IT DID NOT! Your site is effectively a scam. I repeat cancel my membership. In fact I want my $1 reimbursed.

I was being charged $18.95 on my visa and I looked everywhere they had told me to cancel my subscription but couldn't find the RED LINED BOX they had told me about. I did live chat and after may hours of back and forth chat FINALLY got my refund. Don't accept the 50% they offer you. Don't say no you don't agree just let them know you trusted their company and you feel as though they are stealing from you. It worked for me so hopfully you will get the same results. I got 100% of my money back. Don't give up if you do not recieve any services from they they can not legally charge you any money. Good luck. A

Same experiance as others - nothing delivered and your card charged - see contact with them in the same hour as trying to get a lookup...

Please wait for a site operator to respond.

You are now chatting with 'Neisha'

Neisha: Thank you for chatting with Phone Agent Source. May I know, whom am I chatting with?

You: I asked for a phone report and got nothing... I want to cancel any further charges to my card

You: Nancy Drew

Neisha: I'm sorry that our database did not find the information you were looking for. This happens very rarely. Usually this means that there is some redundant information in the system. But, don't worry. I'd like to help you out. We do have experts on hand that can perform a manual search for certain customers. Can you please input your username/email address?

You: *******@yahoo.com

Neisha: Please wait while I check your order details in our system.

Neisha: Just to make sure I'm looking at the right records here, can you confirm the name or number you were searching for? I know it's a hassle, but I want to make sure this gets done right!

You: xxx-512-6050

Neisha: Yes, I can see there does seem to be a problem with the report provided. We do apologize for your inconvenience and would like to make this right. What I am going to do is have one of our Technical Researchers get to work on this immediately so that we can get this fixed within the next few hours. He will check and triple check the records manually to make sure this mistake does not happen again. Once again we are sorry for the delay, but I want to be confident that you get the results you are looking for. This should not take any more than 3 hours.

You: How about cancelling any further charges to my card?

Neisha: You can cancel your membership at anytime by contacting this live chat service.

You: Well... I'm doing that now, right?

Neisha: I'm sorry that you have decided to cancel your membership. I do not have the authority to cancel your account; however, my manager has now been notified of your request.

You must log into your account after 48 hours and confirm your cancellation by following the instructions that will appear in a RED OUTLINED BOX at the top of the page. Your account will not be cancelled until you take this final step.

I apologize for this delay, but this procedure is in place to ensure no cancellation is ever missed.

You: OK, I have copied this (useless) conversation and am going to forward it to BoA as a record of my formal attempt to cancel this account and any charges.
