“Hello - and welcome to the internet age!”

NOTE: This review applies to both Bank Street Mazda and Performance Mazda. As you all know, a new car purchase is a "life event". Many people purchase used cars for the majority of their adult life, and not everyone is blessed to be able to afford a new car. For the first time in my life, I am in that position - a new vehicle is an attainable goal for me, and worth the extra money for safety and security as a single parent. With this in mind, I have embarked on my search - to find the most car I can afford for the best price - and hope for a few niceties thrown in!:) Over the past month I've been gathering statistics, prices and value-for-the-money information on numerous vehicles, and decided to consider giving a chance to Mazda. However, I was extremely disappointed in the "hard approach" these people have - perhaps a corporate directive of some sort - to NOT provide pricing by email. I work a full-time job, live outside my local major city (hence away from most dealerships) have kids and family commitments, and yet even after stating this multiple times, I've been unable to secure any pricing whatsoever. Instead, what I get on a weekly basis is emails that insist I come for a test drive - or that they will bring the car to me. Really? That clearly is not a reasonable response. I want to know what your best price is before I commit my time and energy. If I did a test drive and "hard sales pitch" for every vehicle I have been researching, I'd have to take two weeks off! In this day of internet and social media, there is no excuse why dealerships (who represent their flagship, Tier 1 companies) cannot negotiate and provide reasonable quotes ONLINE, THROUGH EMAIL. The bottom line ends up being that I will buy from a company that provide online quotes and doesn't waste my time on 50 year old sales tactics. I'm not a newcomer, I'm not a millennial, and there are times I truly hate technology. This is not one of those times. If either of the companies are reading this in a timely manner, you will likely recognize me from this review and my emails. Please take note and understand that technology has been designed to help consumers, not just be a tool for social media addicts. With respect.
