Performance chip tuning (cold air intake)
August 6, 2021

Terrible business! Bought a cold air intake for $90, too good to be true, I know. But took the chance. Future readers DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING from performancechiptuning.com! Terrible quality, the main aluminum pipe was scratched, the smaller intake pipe on the side wasn't welded and I could see gaps connecting the two, filter, hoses, and rubber fittings looked and felt so cheap and frail. I called to get my $ back, told them I ordered the wrong part and they had a real attitude about it like "well that ain't our fault". But finally was emailed a free postage shipping label, returned it, then you have to track, know it's delivered and returned, call them and tell them to deposit you money back, then I only received $75 back. But happy to get something back dealing with these scam artists! Overall terrible company, experience, quality, hope there website is shut down, company's fined, or previous customers spam them daily with horrible reviews so no one buys from them! Feel like it's a couple guys selling out of their garage part time! Beware never spend a $ there, I personally wouldn't trust to put a bold on my car that comes from their website!

Tip for consumers:

Never purchase anything from this site! Don’t trust their quality on your vehicle!

I got the stage 4 chip if you can call it a chip. I had to call and ask many Questions as i have many. They say it takes 2 weeks to see a different or for it to work. Then asked many more questions about it and the guy i talked really could not answer any of them apart from shipping. So i asked if i could talk to a technician. They said they could not talk as they do not do that. I will be doing a youtube review of this as well soon and post it as well. Ok i am a racer ok yea yea yea i know. But somethings dont add up they told me a 30 day warranty and i am seeing 60 day here. Which i dont know what to think about. Then as i said i know programing as i am a computer tech as well as a former racer getting back into it. However i do know with programming a car it is a instant thing. I have a dyno i can use i want to see real timing and changes as when you plug in a chip as i did on my truck it is a diesel i have a 6 pos chip it is plug in and play and it is instant. So why do i have to wait 2 weeks for changes... i could see that for fuel mileage yes maybe but even then you should notice this change any way in like 2 or 3 days not just in your car but your wallet. So i am skeptical to say the least. I will update this apon doing what i do best. But i dont see any as of yet that would warrant such a increase in anything. And i doubt i will see any increase in power or milage in my fuel. So i am very unsatisfied as of the moment i cant justify spending the amount for a glorified monitor. Also on my stage 4 i can go to the settings and the % of fuel i cam set it to is 500% so i was like i know good and well that my 16 ford fusion sport 2.5L cant do 500% so i asked the guy on the phone he saod it would not do over 150% so i asked then why does it go to 500% his reply was anything over 150 % stays at 150% so i was thinking then why does it go that high becaise anyone with any computer know how like a technician like you have would be able to set ot for 150% max it is not hard to do. And he could not answer that Question. So i then asked can i speek to a technician via email since they dont know how to use a phone he said no. I have the recorded call as well for all of this and was on the call with him for over 20 to 30 min and he hung up and then i called back and another 20 to 30 min got no where.

If i had to say the negative comments have a valid place here as i have gotten no where as well. As for the positive feed back i am sure maybe a placebo effect just like meditation testing. So if i am wrong i will be leaving a review again and i am going to do me a dyno test and my own test.

If it is to good to be true it may be false.

Tip for consumers:

If you get any chip take it to a dyno and see the results live.

PerformanceChipTuning are selling junk. Their performance chip made 0 improvement on my car. Notice on their website that they say that results are not guaranteed. Compare that to other tuning companies.
