In my humble opinion, People Finder came through for me!. I am a senior and I needed to do find a next of kin to verify my service in the Veterans Admin. The website gave me the CORRECT INFO! I couldn't afford the monthly fee so for a small charge I received the information. It meant a lot to me that " They" gave me the option of a single search! I will highly recommend this company ABOVE all I have tried online‼

Ripoff. PeopleFinders runs a cleverly deceptive website. They automatically charged me a monthly fee of $24.95. I've tried to call and email them for an explanation. To date, I have not received a response. Don't get ripped off.

First time I canceled after 2 months because backgrounds are not the best. I contacted them and asked to cancel again and they offered me a lifetime 69.95 one time fee. I agreed because what the heck, maybe they'll get better. 3 months later that one time fee made its way to my account again. I disputed it with my bank and peoplefinders canceled my account because I disputed the second charge. Do not fall prey to them, they'll rip you off

Signed up for the 3 day trial, two days later (a Saturday) tried to login to cancel. "You're account has been disabled. Please contact customer care." Customer "care" doesn't answer. I'll have to call my bank on Monday to stop pay, which will undoubtedly be too late to stop their charge. All these bad reviews... why haven't they been shut down?

Tip for consumers:
Stay away

I initially signed up for an all time access for a small amount because they said it's a largest discount forever. Less than a month later, I saw a 69.95 on my credit card. It says I will be billed 0.00 per month as I underlined. I am going to call them and hope they settle this down. Otherwise, I will report fraud to the FTC for sure.

If you use PeopleFinders.com, beware of their monthly fraudulent/unauthorized billings of &29.95 to your credit or debit card you use to make purchase the purchase. Once they have your card on file, they WILL place a charge each month whether you sign up for membership or not. When you ask for refund, they will issue an immediate refund but only if the last month they charged you for. If I can give them a 0 star, I would. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has experienced this and would actually think this is grounds for a great class-action lawsuit against PeopleFinders.com!

Tip for consumers:
Just beware of their unauthorized Billings/charges to your credit or debit cards for memberships whether you sign up for or not. Check your accounts each month!!

I called PeopleFinders as I paid for what I believed to be a one time charge for a back ground check. I continuously get charged even though I have canceled. He asked me, "What is wrong with you for allowing his charged to continue". I let him know that I have attempted to cancel. He told me he would cancel my membership, but couldn't help me any prior charges. That was just the way it was...company policy. I have never been treated with such disrespect. :/

I usually dont pay for any "free" trials but i did this one because it was part of a task i had to complete to get a gift card... i paid for the " free" trial and looked up a couple numbers out of curiosity and canceled. Got charged 30 bucks so i checked the site and my account was still up so i canceled again and a message popped up saying if i paid 70 bucks then id have a lifetime membership... (when a company offers you a lifetime of their services for two months at the regular price, chances are their services are not hard to come by for free.) Seriously? I continued to cancel and emailed them for a refund because i canceled before the trial ended and they refuse to give it... you could literally put in the persons name you are looking for in the google search bar and pull up everything this company pulls up for you. And on top of piggy backing off google, they also charge you EVERYTIME for a full report, so you paying for membership so they can goigle search whoever you looking for then you pay EVERYTIME for any actual useful info... all info is outdated. Just a scam all the way around with these guys, you are better off cutting iut the middle man and search google yourself.

Tip for consumers:
Just Google it yourself because thats all they do and charge you for it

I payed 95 cents to look up one person. Canceled within 3 days. Still charged 24.95 on 3rd day. Called their 800 number and they said I had multiple accounts and only canceled one of them.
How and when did I sign up for all this when I did one name search, put in credit card number and clicked search?! Apparently the scam is that you actually signed up for several accounts when you click on the search. And you better cancel all the accounts, you didn't know you opened, or you will be charged the monthly fee.
How can human beings, walk on this earth, and be so rotten?! Were they mistreated when they were younger? They better hope there isn't a place where dishonest people go after they pass. And what is wrong with the people who work for these low life's? What is their problem. Doesn't the girl at the other end of the phone get sick of lying all day, to irate customers? God bless the honest people!

Don't use site, to give out credit card number

I tested their service and it seemed to have ok data, but once I was locked into a 3 month contract by their manager * the hit rate dropped to less than 10%!
I'm stuck in a $1200 contract, lost my customer over it, and can't use their service. After multiple requests to help, * finally got back to me and said I'm stuck in the contract and he won't let me out! A reputable company would have discontinued the contract. I'm reporting them to the attorney general for fraud.

Paid the. 95 and I honestly don't know how it even got started Last I remember I was not on my phone but I was putting it down and I seen my screen on this ppl finder and my husband's cell number was even in the search bat? So my of course I just went with it. Used cashapp and nothing happened. No report now cashapp notifications came up n seen the 24.95 charge attempt. But thank God I'm broke n I forgot. LoL jokes on them They need to bust these scammers. Beginning to wonder who's actually at fault. It's cyber world now and I don't think anything is private or safe anymore these days if they're scammers. Haha ain't taking money I don't got

Tip for consumers:
How exactly can you honestly determine if the sites safe and legit from a fake one.

I used their service once, then tried to cancel the subscription that same day, intending to just pay for the one use of their service ($24.99). I received a pop-up offering a lifetime subscription for a one time cost of $29.99. I hardly look up up anything but thought, why not? The next day I saw they had submitted debits for $29.99 four times (plus the $24.99). Luckily, my bank did not put it through the $29.99 once. They really shouldn't have gotten anymore than the $24.99, but I did not refute it.
I was shocked when I saw a month later that they had again debited my account. I cannot contact them by phone nor by the customer service email they had provided. My emails are undeliverable and they blocked me from their website. It is amazing how dishonest they are! I am sure people use services like theirs, so why not deliver good, ethical service?
They are fools if they think they will keep a penny of my hard earned money.
I am even going reclaim the $29.99 they had gotten a month ago. I will let them keep the $24.99, even though I don't know if the information I got from them is useful.

I used PeopleFinders once and paid what I thought was a one-time fee back in September. Since then, I have been getting charges for CFK*PEOPLEFINDERS and CFK*PF REWARDS for $24.95 and $14.95 respectively. Apparently, once you use their service once, they auto enroll you for membership AND their rewards program all WITHOUT telling you. I reached out to them to reverse the charges, but they refused. A very shady business with horrendous customer service!

Tip for consumers:
Never use this site. If you do, they will quietly charge you for the service as well as their membership rewards program (which doesn't even appear to have any rewards).

NEVER, I REPEAT, NEVER waste your money on this company. It is a scam and the company knows it. They have Ads out that claim People Finders can look up phone records (such as text message and phone call logs) and/or GPS search for a phones coordinates and the company does NO SUCH THING. There is no such things as a single purchase. Every selection you make has FINE PRINT that says you will be signed up for a membership and there will be no refund offered. The best thing to do if you ever encounter this, state that, "I did not authorize this charges" and also "I did not authorize anyone to use my card." At that point they will have to refund you without any questions asked. Call your bank and tell them the same exact thing. The Customers Care Center will only refund you 3 charges BUT keep pressing them and they will eventually get the okay to refund you and additional 2. This company needs to be SHUT DOWN for false advertisement & SCAMS. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

Tip for consumers:
NEVER USE.

Signed up for a free trial of people finder in June and canceled in July. I got a confirmation email confirming my cancellation, but my card was still being charged. I called again the customer service rep asked can I call back later because she is having technical difficulties. So I did…. I'm thinking it's done and completed then I notice a charge 2 months later. I emailed again. Still was not cancelled. I call again and the rep tells me I canceled one free trial but not the other. This company is a fraud and rip off…. Don't do the free trial!
