It is very convenient to be able to fill out documents from any computer, even if the computer you are working on does not have the program on it the document originated from. You can preload forms you use frequently, make templates and you are all set!
Despite the displayed options, SAVE, PRINT, you can't do any of that till they have your credit card that they charge $101 to, which you don't learn about till you've completed your work! So I emailed to 'cancel immediately'; got an email they had, learned later, that only cancels the renewal of the subscription. The $101 is refunded only if you notice it on your charges, email and specifically request it. I've now put their name on my bulletin board to make sure I don't fall for their fibs again.
This was a joke! Every time I filled a template out, completed, and emailed to job. IT WAS ALWAYS BLANK!!!
I don't like having to put my information to a website that may possibly sell my information just to email as form required by the government.
After you take the time to edit a PDF, then they hit you with a subscription requirement and a fee. It's a free trial, so no problem, right? Except it's impossible to unsubscribe because that part of the website is broken and, and their support can't do it either. I don't see how there's 5 star reviews for this scam.
Dear DB, we've actually read and replied to your review (with the same text) on another site but you never got back to us, unfortunately.
We do not have any part of the unsubscribe workflow reported as broken, just double-checked again. And our Support ALWAYS unsubscribes and refunds, no questions asked.
Please email support@pdffiller.com and we'll have that settled.
Thank you!
Mess up with charging and with my bank accountttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
I Googled "free gift certificate template" and filled out the form only to find out after 30 minutes of set up that I was suckered into your service and if I don't remember to cancel you clowns will deduct a ridiculous amount of money from my CC....nice business model.
It is not free. They ask for a credit card. Not clear. They say it´s free and after all the work they try to charge. Don´t use it
Hi there! We are very sorry if any confusion caused! Credit card details, at the stage of a free trial, are part of identity verification. Since many people are doing taxes with us and/or e-sign important contracts, this verification might be very important. You won't be charged on Day 1, we can assure you. Our free trial conditions still apply, you have full 30 days for pdfFiller test drive. If you cancel the free trial and unsubscribe during this first month, you won't be charged at all. Hope this clarifies!

Apologies for any confusion incurred, Dan!
It looks like the case has been settled via the email by now but we still would like to clarify couple things here, just in case:
- Please note that the first charge went on the 31st day of using pdfFiller since our free trial period is 30 days.
- Our refund policy covers 180 days, so even if you notice the charge not immediately but much later, you are still eligible for a refund, no questions asked.
I just spent half an hour completing a long PDF that was advertised by PDF Filler to be a free service. Then, when I got to the end, the only way to do anything with the PDF is to pay them. Avoid this service like the plague. Absolute scam artists and a company I've reported to Google Chrome and asked them to remove it from their service.
Dear Michelle, we are sorry to hear you are so upset! Obviously, there is some confusion here. First of all, if you are trying to use our Chrome add-on, you need to have an already registered account with pdfFiller, then it will be free for you. We are sorry if this is not obvious!
Secondly, for all first-time users, there is ALWAYS a free trial. We NEVER ask for payments on Day 1, you have plenty of time to test and make sure you need our service. BUT yes, you need to register a personal account with us. This is done for documents' security only.
Hope this clarifies!
Takes your emaill then tells you its not free! Seems mix of scam and force you to put your email then for easy service ask you to pay!
Dear Bard, we are very sorry for any confusion caused! Please, note that you don't have to pay on Day 1, actually. There is a 30-day free trial period. If you don't like it/don't need it any longer - you can always cancel and unsubscribe. Secondly, please, note that even though we indeed know your email address now (which is used as login credentials), we would never pass it to a third party. This is against our privacy policy, and we take such matters very seriously. If you have any further questions/doubts, please, live chat with our Support here: https://www.pdffiller.com/en/support.htm They are working 24/7/365 and can instantly answer your questions. Hope this helps!
Signing a PDF is something basic available through free software. This site makes it out to support that and waste your time, only to demand the subscription price of a premium service just to download that signed document.
Hello there!
First of, regular signing in a free software is not legally binding, just in case. For an important document (like a contract, invoice, insurance or medical forms, etc.) you would need a legally binding solution (which makes your signature valid), and all of those have paid plans (the price may vary across the market though). Apart from the subscription, the standard protocol for this would also involve account creation which indirectly proves your identity (who is signing a document).
Secondly, please note that in pdfFiller specifically, there is a difference between account creation and paid subscription. If you a first-timer on our site, you can register an account (which is totally free, by the way) and then, our 30-day free trial period will start automatically.
In other words, you can register an account, use the free trial on the documents you need -- and then decide whether you need a paid plan with us or not. You can surely cancel and unsubscribe while still on a free trial, and you won't be charged, we assure you.
Hope this helps!
I used it only once and it has charged me every month. I tried cancelling subscription, doesn't work, then i tried deleting my account, it says cancel subscription first! A TOTAL RIP-OFF!
Dear Grace, we are very sorry for the confusion caused. Please, chat with our Billing Support here: https://www.pdffiller.com/en/billing?sl=support They will immediately make a refund for you. Thank you!
I thought it was a great website. Very easy to use, great tools, great software. Until I finished and found out that I had to pay just to turn in my assignment to google classroom. I couldn't even copy the link to the document without it asking for my card
Designed to let you fill in the edited form and then you need to pay to get your document after a tedious account opening process. Real junk!
Hello there! We are sorry if the account creation process seems to be tedious. We were actually trying to make as simple as possible, shouldn't take longer than couple minutes.
Also, please note that pdfFiller offers a free trial period. You don't need to go for a paid plan straight on Day 1. There's a reasonable amount of time to test drive our solution before getting a subscription.
I have never had a 'supposedly' reputable site hold you hostage once you did a document. You can't print unless you pay them. DO NOT use this product.

Virginia hi! We are very sorry to read about this confusion. I would like to clarify two issues here:
1) We are a reputable site. Have been on the e-market since 2008. Zero data breach cases, hacks or any other security-related issues ever.
2) You can print during the free trial period already. Having a paid plan is not a must. If you need PDF editing and eSigning for several documents or several days only, the free trial would totally do the job.
Hope this helps!
DO NOT give any of your credit card details to this company. My card had been used for 4 transactions of Personnal uses and I had to cancel my card and block my account to prevent further damage.
I had use google pay which I thought is trust worthy to sign up the trial, and 2 days later my card was being used. I will report about their criminal act and take action against them.
AC hi!
We are somewhat confused by what's written here and would need more info on the case. Since you've mentioned Google Pay, was it desktop version or our mobile app? In any case, we do not charge customers on the second or third day of using our service. Our mobile free trial is one week sharp, our desktop free trial is 30 days (the first charge goes on the second month of using our software). So, you were charged 2 days after subscribing with us, there is a great probability this was not us, actually.
If you would like us to investigate your case internally, please email support@pdffiller.com, we will certainly do that.
I get the invoice on the same day that my subscription is renewed. I followed all the instructions to cancel, but there is no link to CANCEL the subscription.
This is really bogus.
Tip for consumers:
Do not sign up with this company. PDFfiller team.

Walter hi! We would love to help but honestly, a bit hard to comment anything specifically cause there are not much details in your feedback. A screenshot would be really helpful!
Please chat with our Billing Support over here: https://www.pdffiller.com/en/support.htm
One of our agents will make sure your subscription is fully canceled, and your account and all data are deleted.
Please make sure you've saved all your edited work prior to that cause the account will be deleted permanently.
Many thanks in advance for your cooperation in settling this!
The formatting of your form leaves a lot to be desired. The fonts change, you can't type on certain lines.....it's a mess.
horribly inefficient. i use this program for termite letters and it keeps deleting everything i send from the past
Why do i continually have to verify my account. This happens every time i open a document! Definitely not user friendly.
With lousy handwriting I thought I would be neat and print a simple form that needed very few entries. Mainly just name and address, account number and date. Wasted my time trying to get through filling it out, which took a LOT longer than printing it, which is what I ended up doing. Like supposedly free tax programs, they pounce with the you cannot print it after you wasted time. If doing several longer forms a month it might be worth it, but not with a deceptive company.
Tip for consumers:
You cannot print the "free" form without giving a Credit Card.

I did not want to pay to have a few lines of text on a government form typed so I printed by hand after wasting my time with this company and their deceptive "free" ad.
Sharon hi! We are very sorry if any confusion caused!
Our ads (and site, and apps' overview on marketplaces, actually) say "free trial", not just free, strictly speaking. And this is exactly what we are offering -- 30 days of a free trial period.
Yes, you would need to register an account with us (which includes CC data). But there are zero charges during this first month, we assure you. And of course, you can always cancel, no charges involved either. In fact, quite many people are making use of our free trial during the tax season and then cancel afterwards. We totally get it, if you don't need PDF editing for daily business purposes, you won't need our paid plan.
Hope this helps!
A number of times I have had trouble logging in and downloading my files off your server. Recently, I lost a client facing a very critical deadline since I could not trouble shoot the problem fast enough. Looking out for their best interest I was forced to send the matter to another attorney. The program failure was further aggravated since it would not allow me to connect to customer service. I will be migrating to service providers that offer customer service phone numbers that I can keep in my contact database and call when I have an issue.
I was charged for using and cancelling the "free trial." Emailed support and they assured me I wouldn't be charged. I was charged regardless. Please avoid this scam!
Waste hours of your time, get charged minimum 20$ for 1 $#*!ing PDF. If they had been upfront, you could simply go somewhere else.
Instead, they hide this for when you are done spending hours on a document. No way to save it without entering your credit card
DISGUSTING! 0 stars! I will review bomb this everywhere!
Tip for consumers:
STAY AWAY !

Tan hi! What about our free trial period of 30 days? If you need several forms from our Library and PDF editing for them, our free trial period would actually do the job, no charges whatsoever. We are sorry if this was not immediately obvious. Please email support@pdffiller.com. One of our agents will make sure you get the full free trial period and your monthly plan is refunded. (Our paid plans are used by businesses mostly actually, so if you are an individual user, our free trial should do the job).
Difficult to understand what to do. No instructions... The Live Chat helped but not sure we communicated properly and now she is gone!
For those who don't know, there are many different ways to fill out a pdf for free instead of paying 20 dollars a month for something as trivial as a tool to fill out PDF's, for the record that is only the BASIC plan.
Consider using sejda if you want the same tools for free. I am not opposed to paying for software, though 20$ for a basic plan is upwards of 3 netflix subscriptions just to fill out PDF's.
Not to mention their shady tactics in which they only restrict access to premium users once you've completed the PDF, leaving you with the decision of "do I pay for it" or "do I find another site and start over".

Apologies if any confusion incurred while trying to use our service, Sam!
You are absolutely right about the market segment overall, actually. There is quite a wide variety of both free and for-a-fee PDF editors out there. Please note however that each of these PDF editor has both general/standard features as well as quite unique one. And every user chooses something what's best fit for their specific purposes. This is totally up to the user, and we are never aggressive in our marketing, nothing of the kind.
Our monthly is 20$ if one chooses to pay month by month, and only 8$ per month in case of an annual commitment. This is more than acceptable for thousands of our business users who need PDF editing and eSigning on literally daily basis.
On a separate note, please mind that if you are first-timer in pdfFiller, there is always a free trial period of full 30 days. You would need to register an account, correct, but having a paid Basic or Premium is not a must at all. Especially if you need PDF editing for several documents only. The free trial would totally do the job.
Hope this helps!
Edit PDFs, Create Forms, Collect Data, Collaborate, Sign, and Fax Documents, and so much more. And you can do it all from anywhere on any device for a fraction of the cost.

To cut the story short, we neither see the contents of your documents, nor can sell/transfer your information to third parties. This is not just against our privacy policy, it is also technically impossible, actually.
We indeed see you log-in data, like the time of a session, IP address and which browser you are using, but that's it.
If you have any further questions, please contact our Support in a chat window which is available directly in pdfFiller itself.
Hope this helps!
