Let me start by stating that I have always been a faithful PC Richard and Son customer. I have bought many appliances from them in the past. I have never had any issues with them at all. Always satisfied and pleased with every transaction.
On 04/06/24, I entered the store and met with Emilio, a salesperson, and inquired about purchasing a refrigerator. Shortly after, I did purchase a refrigerator for $654.94. I met with John, the manager who was nice enough to give me a $50.00 discount. Delivery was to be Saturday, AM 04/13. It was understood that the item was to be delivered utilizing the back door of the house and placed in the kitchen where the back door led into. The old refrigerator was to be left at the house. I did not purchase Haul_Away service for $50.00. The delivery person arrived Saturday AM 04/13. I was not present however the tenant was. The delivery person informed the tenant that he was to leave the refrigerator at the front or rear of the house only. Tenant contacted me and informed me what the delivery person stated. I asked to speak to the delivery person. Tenant stated that the delivery person does not want to speak to me. I informed the tenant that the appliance was to be placed in the kitchen through the back door. The delivery person shook down the tenant for 50 dollars to place the appliance in the kitchen. He stated to the tenant for the 50,00 charge, he will place the appliance in the kitchen and take the old appliance with him. At this point, I instructed the tenant to pay the delivery person 50 dollars and get a receipt and his name. The tenant did as instructed however, the delivery person would not provide a receipt nor his name. Later that day, I returned to the store and met with Emilio. I explained the situation. Emilio was quite surprised to hear what had happened. He called for Mike, the manager on duty and explained to him. Mike stated that he will inform John, the manager, of the situation, since John was involved with the initial sale. I asked Mike if he had ever heard of an issue as this. Mike replied that this happens more than you would think since PC Richards uses and outside contractor to delivery their products. Mike entered notes into the computer. Mike stated that 50 dollars will be refunded to me with additional compensation and that John will contact me. Mike was very apologetic. Several days went by and no contact by John.
I visited the store on 04/18 and again on 04/27 for and update. Saw Emilio. Emilio spoke to John. Emilio informed me that John put in a claim and that I will be contacted. As of today, I have yet to hear from John or anyone from PC RIichard. Needless to say, I am quite disappointed and upset.
I just want to be compensated for the 50 dollars wrongfully charged for the Haul away fee.

On Thursday January 18,2024, my wife, Krista Jurs, purchased a new dishwasher/installation at your Bellmore NY location. In the initial amount of $652.77. Installation was scheduled for Friday January 19,2024. I used a vacation day to be off for the installation (value $600).
Dishwasher install attempt #1
On Friday January 19,2024, the installers arrived with a damaged/cracked dishwasher that they could not install. The installers advised me that they (1) could not get a replacement dishwasher and (2) to call the Bellmore NY store and speak to the salesman - Anthony. Anthony was rude, curt and unhelpful. I received a callback from Gerald, who apologized for his employee Anthony. Gerald offered a $150 credit which I accepted. Ultimately, the replacement installation was rescheduled for Saturday January 20,2024. So far one day of my life has been wasted.
Dishwasher install attempt #2
On Saturday January 20,2024 a new and different team of installers arrived with a new dishwasher. These installers were not proficient in the English language and it was difficult communicating. They installed the new machine and left. Upon leaving I ran a test cycle to ensure it was in working order. During the cycle water began spraying from the door and flooding my kitchen floor (see photos/video). I canceled the cycle and immediately called the Bellmore store and spoke to Jeff. Luckily I was home to stop the flooding or else my new kitchen floors would be ruined. Jeff arranged for a new machine and new installers.
Dishwasher install attempt #3
A third install team arrived with a 3rd machine, this machine was the incorrect color.
Dishwasher install attempt #4
A fourth dishwasher arrived in the afternoon of January 20,2024 and was installed by a "Fernando." He discovered that the flooding issue was caused by the first install team "capping" the drainage line with a yellow plastic cap (see attached photo). The subsequent installers NEGLECTED to remove the cap causing the machine to flood the kitchen as there was no way for the dishwasher to pump the water into the drainage line.
Finally the dishwasher was installed. Two days of my life now wasted.
I subsequently filed a better business bureau complaint, made a google review and was contacted/offered a "service contract" from a Rich Stewart on Monday January 22,2024. Obviously I wouldn't want your employees working on my appliances after such a display of incompetence made during the initial install so I declined. I then received a call from a Mr Russo who offered to refund me some fictional "COD installation" charge that doesn't actually exist, in addition to a gift card. I declined the fictional cash on delivery charge (still have no idea what this guy was talking about) and do not want a gift card that will lead to you having more business. Mr Russo was not helpful and he subsequently hung up the phone offering me zero satisfaction.
All I can say is that in Fifteen years whether it was the Store in Union or Watchung, NJ, they truly are a Conscious driven Retailer. I would probably never found out if it weren't for a warranty from the previous home owners, that was two months pass it's five year date, on a microwave oven that we brought to them and replaced, installed, with no attempt to up-sell, 15yrs ago. I think It might have cost us under $30.00 for everything. They had to mount it into the slot above the oven.
I have been back there at least five times since, most recently for a replacement washer, and I needed a new water line to the fridge, THEY NEVER FAIL you, if you have a problem with them, YOU are not a please able client and should go to American Freight where you will be a VALID victim.
I made the mistake of not driving 5 miles about 4 years ago, and bought Fridge from American Freight and it failed (almost on the two year anniversary), they sent a repairman once, and ignored the rest of my calls. It was two loads of groceries that went to waste, in the middle of covid, not a single person could be reached after the first service call, responded to a bad review. SERVED ME RIGHT.
PC Richard and Son in Watchung, Chris was our salesman who took care of us. The price really is as usual the price with no attempts to up-sell. DELIVERY is always by their own installers who are worthy of every bit of praise as the sales force.
I should have submitted these reviews years ago, So if anyone of importance is reading this from the company, please go and compliment Chris (and Michael was there when I went back to buy), The intallation teams, They are a REAL conveyance of your Values, EVERY purchase over the years... AND don't sell out to a jerk off company for another 30yrs,
Trust them, if you are shopping for price, consider what your time and HASSLE FREE experience is worth?
This time bought a Washer Machine and Hired to replace the Fridge Water line
We had bought a refrigerator outright through PC Richards for delivery on Feb 2nd. When installed, we were supposed to also have a copper line installed for the water dispenser. Upon delivery, installment team says cannot do copper due to it "being too difficult", but we can install using existing plastic line. Fine. My plastic line then was cut and was leaking water into our basement where multiple laptops had water damage. We had left for vacation already and a family member had noticed it. Tried to get service technician out and when they did finally show up, they came in and told us within 30 seconds that they can't even install a copper line due to me having a finished basement? #1. Sent service person out for an installation ticket. This person quite literally clamped my plastic line and then left within 30 seconds. 2. Why not just tell us from the beginning that you cannot install a copper line? Very confusing as in the city of Philadelphia, the code is to have a copper line and there are certainly finished basements in Philadelphia. Fine. Fast forward again, and the damage claims department failed to take an ounce of accountability for installing the refrigerator at all. No one useful was able to reach out to me. Tony Matja was the one who was "assisting" me and this person couldn't even pick up the phone to explain to me the details of his email even though it was requested multiple times. When asked for a supervisor, I was told the next person up was the CEO. Are there not any other communication channels in place for escalating these situations? Everything was "It's hearsay," yet I am not fully understanding how a brand new refrigerator ends up hooked up and wheeled into my home without an installation team physically bringing it in; especially after the fact that we PAID for the installation. There were 2 individuals (installation and the service technician) out on my property who both tampered with my plastic line yet Tony Matja claims both of those two individuals didn't touch it. Apparently according to the paperwork PC Richards has, does not notate someone physically installing the fridge yet the office in Conshohocken clearly has told me it's notated on their end that the installment person did indeed install the fridge. I guess you guys work with magic because somehow my refrigerator got wheeled into its place with the plastic line hooked up. It is extremely disappointing knowing that a company like PC Richards can't even pick up the phone to talk with an unhappy customer. Instead, just continues to send email replies that clearly do not help the situation. I will never do business with PC Richards again in any capacity after you completely failing to provide a basic level of customer service. Oh & of course, no returns on appliances and nothing was even attempted to rectify the fact that there are ceiling tiles destroyed, and 2 work laptops with water damage.

I was looking for a Nikon d7000 and found it on amazon first for a 1199. 95 and ordered it there, but later on canceled my order with them because i found the same camera body at ajrichard for 1159. 95 with the same no shipping, no tax deal. Turn out they charge you a hidden "handling fee" of 60.00. This charge does not appear on your online receipt nor it appear on the receipt they will email you. I accidentally found out about it only by calling their customer service to make sure I will receive my camera before I leave for my vacation. I didn't canceled my order with them at the time because the price on Amazon had gone back up to 1499. 95. Couple days later, I called again to find out when the camera will be shipped since the status has been changed to "ready to ship" for few days. The same man who answered my call the first time told me it will be shipped tomorrow. The same afternoon I went to Amazon and found the price has dropped back to 1199. 95. I call ajrichard try to cancel my order with them. Frankly, I was not happy with the hidden charge and rather pay the same amount of 1159. 95 + handling fee with amazon. I read the cancellation policy and it stated that as long as the order is not shipped one can canceled it without paying any extra fees. To be sure, I rechecked my order status and nothing has changed. The SAME MAN answered my call, after hearing the reason of my call he checked my order and said its already shipped. I told him I am the one who called this morning and was told that it will be shipped tomorrow. Also my order status says its not yet shipped. He then told me my order is already on the truck and I will have to wait till I received the order then pay for the restock fee and the return shipping. I told him as far as I know my order is not shipped and I want it to be canceled. Then I told him I am not happy with the hidden handling fee to be start with. He was angry but said will try to cancel my order for me then hang up the phone. I called back still trying to be polite, he answered the call again but pretend to be someone else. I didn't want to get into another argument with him and played alone. I asked him to cancel my order for me again this time, and he then told me seems like his "co-worker" had already done so and my credit card will be credited within 7 to 10 days. He again asked what's the reason for me to canceled my order. I simply told him cause i find it somewhere cheaper. He said "oh well, i was going to offer you another 100 off from our price." At this point I would rather pay a hundred more at anywhere else than buying it from this site. Now I will wait and see if they credit back the full amount back to my credit card.
