Nightmare of an experience

Applied. Was approved. Received my card, activated it, used it once and they froze it. Called, was told they needed to verify my identity, I had to send proof of address and photo ID…why this was not done prior to allowing me to use the card is beyond me! Then to top it off, it would take 3-5 days to unfreeze. Told by customer service "the fraud department might call you in an hour, it might be a day or so, I don't know" HORRIBLE ANSWER. You cannot speak to a supervisor or the fraud department. You are left to sit and wait. When they finally called, it was for a second person to NOT unfreeze my card but to waste more of my time. It took 5 days and 4 phone conversations to unfreeze my card…the day after my card is finally useable again, I go to purchase groceries and guess what…they froze my card again! I called again and was told they needed to hang up and call me back to verify it was me…after I answered all the questions with the person when I called….the entire time I am horribly embarrassed in the grocery store with a cart full of groceries…the person calls back and asks me my email address, which I had told him 5 minutes ago while in the phone with him! Then he claims my card is unlocked. It was not, still would not go through. After 30mins of this I paid another way and went home. I then called the fraud department again and was told that person needed to call me back to verify my account…after asking me a bunch of security questions to verify my account…She also did nothing to unlock my card, telling me it's going to take 3 business days to unlock it. So now I have had my card for 2wks, with 8 of those days being frozen. I have been embarrassed multiple times by a declined card, that should not be happening. I was told to make a payment to see if that stops them from freezing my card, I don't even have a bill yet, it's been 2wks since I received the card and only a week since it was even activated…oh and let's not leave out the part where they claim to have no idea why my card keeps getting frozen but claim it could be because it's a new account…NOT promising information for new customers! Don't bother asking to escalate the call to someone who has answers, you'll be told no one is there to take the call. So now, here I am again with a card that is completely useless until someone gets around to calling me to do what, I don't even know at this point. I will not use this card again because it is not fun going through this every time I try to use it. If I can help anyone avoid making the same mistake I did, I hope this is it! I chose this card for the PC points, which would have been great but instead I am left with so much frustration this card is not worth the headache it has been.

Incompetence Plus 10

My step father applied for and received a Presidents Choice Master Card in April of this year. As he is a big fan of No Frills this was great. He received no 1st month billing. He called number on the card *******262 for help. This was mid May. "You are not in the system. I will pass this on the Supervisor". He asked where his 100,000 incentive points were. I can not tell you as Your Not in the System. I called at the end of May for his past due statements. NOT IN THE SYSTEM. I will pass this on to my supervisor. AGAIN! In 2 months PC Financial could not find 1 single competent data entry person to put this info in their computer system. Seriously. I would be hiring some new data entry people. Every 2 weeks Dad called in. Every other 2 weeks I called in to The supposed help line *******262. MID JULY a statement arrived. Dad checked it against what he knew. No points. Another call new PC Optimum Card was ordered. No Statement for August. AND Optimum card not added on to PC Mastercard. WTH! You've got to be kidding. Dad spoke with a 'supervisor' T…. Who he put on speaker phone. While not outright rude when points came up her voice turned cold and answers were very short. Dad explained the amount of calls, time on hold, unreturned voicemail messages. She said she would make sure original 100,000 incentive points were added and for inconvenience she would add another 100,000. Dad said thank you end of call. He sent an email re points and inconvenience T called dad and left VM to return her call *******775. When dad got ahold of her she said 'you agreed to this amount of points being given you. One Dad DId Not Agree to anything like that he said thank you. 3 other people listened to that call, which dad had put on speaker. So her attitude was uncalled for. No additional points awarded, no kind of compensation offered so why the call? To let off steam because to many Voicemails left?
You would think this was finally solved. SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE. There were charges on his statement he knew nothing about. From 3rd week in August to November 7 today still 'under investigation'. Dad is so tired of this Crap. He just wants to pay and cut up card. How many other Seniors have they done this to? Transfers to 'Another Department' 14. Time on HOLD ready for this 84 hours. I repeat 84 hours. This just from July 21st, 2022. Even a letter to the Ombudsman to seek help was literally brushed aside. He was told between him and PCMC. The PC Financial Complaint Appeals *******377 yielded no solution or assistance. Think you are getting the picture. Dad has been trying since August to get credit for 2 charges from a Sex Store overseas. Told dad to kiss that money goodbye. This morning he made another call to try to get this off his statement. He was transferred 2, twice, ended up in Fraud dept who transferred him yet again to Investigation. You WONT believe this. Still under investigation. I think it is disgraceful a company of this size, that brags about 'family' values treats people in this way. Or is this just reserved for Seniors, majority on a limited pension, and who can't stand up to them re time spent on phone. How many hours on hold the wasted time. Our whole family is now involved. Dad is 82. Yes 82. We will take this on.
And none of us shop Extra Foods or No Frills now. And we tell everyone and anyone about this fiasco.

Worst financial institution

Ok so undedstandablely I opened my account with PC financial because I didnt have fantastic credit at the time and I was working on fixing towards a better rating which I went from a poor to a a enrage in 5 months so did well at establishing myself, mean while the bank was constantly taking hundreds of dollars from me everytime a pay check would go in and wouldn't have an explanation why and then all of a sudden all of these companies were accessing my account taking $40,50 160 dollars at a time so I finally after many phone calls and pointless arguement got a super user that helped me and put a fraud complaint thru and said he put blocks on all the companies so they couldnt access my account I would hear back within 30 business days well I finally after complaining about an entirely new set of issues arising this past week heard back a put the issues back in may and was found not liable but in the mean time 2 companies have continued access to my account accessing hundreds of dollars or causing hundreds in NSF fees the bank is refusing to fix and has no set me also in back negative 849 dollars so took my 400 dollar pay on the 15 of September and I'm still negative 419 dollars in the account and I've been waiting to hear from the executive customer care team who said they were doing the math in my account manually monday its friday and my 13 year old nephew has sat down and did all the math and figure it all out in 35 minutes why haven't they called me back? Because there in the wrong and know they owe me back all that money on the NSF fees plus the 849 and all the money they allowed to leave my account and a huge apology for me almost getting arrested and the 50 dollars I had to borrow to pay a cab driver to not get arrested because there agent said everything was good I could go to the kiosk and take my money out no problem and got the and after fighting and leaving my cab sitting half hour was left to tell them I couldnt pay thank god my roommate lent me the money cause they gave me 24 hours or they were calling the police. This bank has caused me hell I've been left to starve no transportation to work no anle to pay my basics of needs n Bill's because of them. Its been held

Thank god I fixed my credit and finally got a normal bank account again DONT USE PC FINANCIAL IF U DON'T HAVE TO EVER..

Tip for consumers:

If you need a financial institution for very basics of needs I would'nt even suggest using there service I'd rather pay to cash my pay at a money cashing place like cash money
