The money appears in your account the following business day, and the transfers are easy and rapid. I highly suggest it. Extensive accessibility on nearly all websites. Cons include phishing attempts and spoof emails sent to the official email address by people posing as Paypal, which implies ongoing cyberattacks.

I had two fraudulent charges on my account and after repeatedly trying to address the issues via the app I had to call their "help center" only to be told that because I monitor my banking multiple times daily (due to past identity theft) and had to wait until a certain time of day to contact them that, the fraudulent charges made across country from me weren't fraudulent and they're doing nothing. Even though two more fraudulent charges tried to process after they were aware of what was going on. Another from the person that already defrauded me. Oh, but they're so sorry for the inconvenience and our hard-earned money being taken from our account.

I have proof of how Paypal won't help you if you are scammed! This is a serious problem! People with thief identity offering services are tricking people into sending money as friend, if you fall into doing that PAYPAL will DO NOTHING! They allowed this scammers to keep going instead of saying, "Ok we can't give you the money but we will freeze the account of this person," or "We are going to follow up about this email," NOTHING!

Paypal do not refer you to an adviser with problems, instead get a robot bod, that keeps repeating itself.

Also been waiting ages for a refund for something that I cancelled. Eg no item have been received or returned, however, it is taking a long time and it seems like, it is not the shop or the bank problem. So where is the problem?

I am also not sure how their resolution system works either, if no problems are referred.

I've been with PayPal for years. PayPal today is not customer friendly. Fraud case against online scammers, I wasn't the only one that filed a complaint, PayPal denied the case stating we couldn't find anything. I found out this company is a financial supporter of PayPal while using it's platform for business reactions. Of course I was denied. It's all about their bottom line. There are other options to pay now besides PayPal, use those services.

I bought a black falcon drone
Used PayPal.
Even with evidence of this scam they refused
The company I bought it from was willing to credit the product purchased
Still, PayPal refused
I'm NOT ever going to use them again
Stay away
I figured they refused because it would have cost them the commission they made
Wish I could report the fraud they pulled on me

Absolute nightmare organisation. Withdrew from Financial Ombudsman auspices. Acts entirely in their own interests. Insecure uncooperative, impossible to communicate with. Avoid at all cost. You are simply introducing another level of insecurity into any transactions you make.

Tip for consumers:
PayPal actually unbelievably, cooperated in a fraud against me and also passed personal information about me to an unauthorised third party. They can do this, because they are based in California and are not regulated by the Financial Ombudsman in the UK.

None. Stopped in time. Beware: It is very easy to accidentally click on PayPal.

I ordered some apparel articles from a Chinese company named Beambead. Half of the clothes never got to me. I complained to Paypal, proved my complaint with a fake shipping label provided by the company, and provided all the documentation to them. They still sided with the " seller", of course, because they make money out of the transaction. DO NOT TRUST PAYPAL! I am closing my account and I will never pay anything else through them.

So I called about me having something in my shopping cart, but never order it. Yet 2 days later it went through as a order and they won't refund me. Said because it looks like I did from the iP address. This was crazy and the 2nd time I've experienced nonsense with PayPal. Won't be 3rd I assure you.

I purchased Birkenstock shoes from a company I was not familiar with which is risky but I used PayPal because of their buyer protection program. The shoes arrived and they are very cheap imitations. I filed a dispute with PayPal. They said I had to return shoes to seller for refund. Shipping to return shoes was 57.00. Almost as much as I paid for them. PayPal will not budge. I guess they care more about the Chinese fraudulent seller than their customers.

I was scammed from a seller on PayPal, and I reached out to PayPal for help.Theu contacted me and said they couldn't help me, cause I filed a dispute charge to my credit card company.I would recommend to everyone, not use PayPal,cause they do not stand behind the customer satisfaction policy.I was scammed by a China company,that didn't even specify that it was a Chinese based company on the selliers website.And PayPal doesn't want to get involved.People beware, please

My son because of pandemic playing the games. So I bought through paypal the game, and after what they started to charge my account 1-2-4$ per charge. In 4 days I noticed something wrong (already it was 100$). Complaining to paypal, but they didn't even pick up the phone, they busy. I wrote complain and the refuse to do anything. I think they should just leave the business.

Long story short, bought a service. The vendor could not offer the service for that date and offer a voucher. I don't want it and open a ticket with paypal to get the money back. Guess what, they reply that this is not covered in the Safety and protection policies.
But why you make me pay if you don't cover me? Use amazon and let these people go home!

Here is the complain number on paypal just to show you that this is not a fake review! PP-D-*******

Terrible company with useless service

Terrible company with useless service. They have such convoluted policies that even their customer service is not able to clarify what it means. I made a payment to a customer and the customer asked me to cancel the transaction as the shipping address was incorrect. Paypal put the transaction on hold and said that it is under review. This is even after calling their support team. Can you imagine that? They told me that it was under review for 24 hours. But they could not tell me why it was under review.

Keep in mind that I am the payer and I called to cancel and they are reviewing me?. No wonder their share price is struggling and dropped from $350 to $60. Clearly in the dumps. A terrible company and must be avoided at all costs. Use Venmo, Stripe, and Square or the bank directly to pay.

I was the payer who attempted to cancel the transaction before anything was initiated. Nothing was received.

This is probably the worst customer service I have ever met. I do regret I chosen this company for my finance transfers. Customer service specialists respond very slow in chat. Their responses contradict to each other. What they do is just kick the customer out to get rid of him as soon as they can instead of helping him. There was a time when I called their service via the phone and they just hung up. Apart from that, money transfers via PayPal have a lot of problems. E.g. They can allow you to put lots of your money on their crypto balance. After that, there are a lot of problems and delays to take your money back.

Tip for consumers:
There are plenty of other money transfer systems on the market, better take another one

Wonderful world of high fees Paypal, where your money will get drawn from your account no matter what you do. You'll be able to take money out when they feel like it. Last straw: I cancelled a Fotor subscription 3 days before the draw date, mind you I cancelled it months before woth Fotor, but this was directly with PayPal. It shows fine as inactive, with accurate dates. 3 days later, I get a note from my old bank that they rejected the transaction...Then I get 3 more notices in 2 weeks. Finally, the find my new card and charge that. Mind you, they have documented proof on their site I cancelled DIRECTLY WITH PAYPAL. So, silly me, I dispute it. They credit it, then they reverse the credit because the merchant states they delivered goods...Um, it was a subscription that I used 1 time and paid 40 bucks for because it was awful...But again, I cancelled it ON PAYPAL...Oh, after the review, the date of cancelation magically vanished...But don't worry, I kept the emails...And if they steal this money from me, as I told them, I'll take it back from employees inlays they've never contemplated.

I bought a $40 item which was nothing like what was promised. Paypal was worthless in resolution of my dispute. I was supposed to get a lifelike singing baby shark and I got an 8" hard plastic toy worth about $1. Paypal will only give me a refund if I send the crap back to China - which would cost much more than the refund. I won't use paypal again.

I made the mistake of ordering online, the only way to pay was through PayPal. I should have known it was a fraud! I did 1 hour later when I hadn't gotten a receipt! I contacted PayPal for an immediate refund! No way to contact PayPal but email. They denied my request. So far I've appealed 3 times, denied every time. I have proof from UPS which I sent in but they don't care! As far as I'm concerned, PayPal is as much of a criminal as the fraudulent company!

I placed an online order and it was cancelled and seller provided proof that they refunded. I did not receive the amount, raised dispute with PayPal. Without proper investigation, they closed the case and not able to reach them at all. Worst experience

Ho perso il numero di telefono che prima era associato al mio conto paypal, e così non posso più accedere al mio conto e account paypal dal momento che mi viene richiesto di ricevere un messaggio o una telefonata al vecchio numero, che non è più attivo. Nella sezione "aiuto" di paypal non ho trovato nessun aiuto possibile, poichè semplicemente si consiglia di cambiare il numero di telefono dall'area riservata inserendovi quello nuovo, ma tale azione non è però possibile - contrariamente a quanto segnalato sul sito di paypal - per il semplice fatto che quando si prova ad accedere viene richiesto il numero di telefono! Trovo assurda questa cosa, perchè nessuna banca normale fa perdere l'accesso al proprio conto se non si dispone più del numero di telefono originario!

Months after moving to a new address, I had ordered a couple of items and used to pay pal to purchase. The items were shipped to the wrong address...My old address, even after the address was changed and prior purchases were shipped to the new address. I spoke with 3 different supervisors at PayPal who agreed they had a glitch in the system but they refuse to refund my money. Their purchase guarantee sucks!

Paypal are allowing fraudulent companies such as Sophora Media Pte Ltd and VIP Auction to rob honest, hard-working, and often disabled people. They are not willing to investigate these unauthorised payments, despite a great many complaints from many victims (check reviews). Paypal's facilitating payments to these companies and their ongoing compliance is scandalous and shocking.

Paypal has multiple website pages that promise a full refund, including original shipping. But caveat emptor!

One of the caveats, hidden deep in the bowels of their legalhub is quote "if you're filing a Significantly Not as Described claim. PayPal may require you, at your expense, to ship the item back to the seller, to PayPal or to a third party (which will be specified by PayPal) and to provide proof of delivery." WHAT THAT MEANS TO YOU IS "if the merchant makes a mistake and sends the wrong thing, the consumer is responsible for covering the costs of that mistake."

But wait! It gets worse. The merchant I purchased from posts a return policy specifying that the consumer is not responsible for return shipping when the wrong item was sent. I ordered a black shirt and received a white shirt. Despite the merchant's return policy, PayPal refuses to process a refund until I send the white shirt back AT MY EXPENSE.

So, before purchasing something from a PayPal merchant, consider how much it's going to cost you to send it back if the merchant sends the wrong thing.

After trying to transfer my PayPal money which was on hold as normal. And contacting PayPal which is a waste of time as nobody understands you. One Indian call center transfered me to a so called manager. After I was coaxed into giving bank details to get money off hold. Within minutes they went into my bank account and stole every penny plus 100 pound overdrawn!. Never will use PayPal again. One really badly managed organisation

PayPal thieves. Scheme of deception: they issue you a PayPal credit card, the only option for using cashback is to transfer it to your PayPal account. Then they block your account and your cashback disappears. PayPal stole more than $300 from me.

Occasionally payment through PayPal goes well. The rest of the time, you are NEVER going to get it sorted out. Be prepared for cancelled, blocked, denied, etc. transactions with no reason, no warning, and no admitting they're the ones doing it. Currently they also have NO human support services, either, so there's no one to contact to explain why they're wrong. I won't be using them again, you shouldn't either.
