Here's a polished version of your negative review for Pawp pet insurance: ⸻ Stay Away from This Company!
I've been paying $29/month for 3 years, and when I finally needed to use the service, the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. There is no phone support — only texting and email — and the responses I receive are short, unhelpful, and don't actually address my questions. They keep directing me to the app, but when I try to access the tabs they mention, the app only prompts me to sign up for a membership… which I've already been paying for over the last 3 years! Despite confirming that I'm covered, they completely ignore my other concerns. I've been going back and forth with them since Saturday — it's now Monday — and I still don't have access. No resolution, no real-time support, and no accountability. For a company that's supposed to be there in an emergency, this is completely unacceptable. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere for pet insurance. Pawp is not worth it.

I bought pet insurance at Pawp, Inc. I should have checked the reviews before I purchased the policy. When I joined it was $19 a month to cover up to $3000 in emergency vet fees. They would pay my vet before I left the hospital. Before going to the emergency vet I had to do a chat with their "vet" to make sure it was an emergency. The "vet" tries to talk you out of going to the vet with bad advice. She said stop Howler from eating and drinking for 12 hours and if he is still vomiting and pooping blood to take him to emergency. She also said to give him probiotics, which he already takes.
I had to chat with three "vets" to get the okay to go to emergency. It is a three and a half hour drive for me to get there. If I had waited 12 hours I would be driving in the middle of the night and Howler might have already died. He was throwing up everything, including water and only pooping blood. The emergency vet said it was the natural flea medicine I had been giving him for two weeks, that included garlic, which is toxic to dogs. He had to be on an IV and have medicine to save his life.
In May, Pawp changed their rules. They said now you have to pay your emergency vet bill up front and then they will pay you back later. They also want you to do a video chat before you go to the emergency vet. I can not do a video chat because my computer does not have a camera and we do not have cell service where I live. But when I explained this to their third "vet" she said it looked like an emergency, so I should take Howler to the vet. After waiting a month for my account to be under "review' they have deigned my claim. They said I did not do the video call, so they will not refund my vet charges. I have to use my house payment money to pay the vet. I thought Pawp would give me my money back when I sent them the final bill. They refused and now I do not have my house payment. I bought insurance to keep this from happening if we had an emergency. I was scammed by this ruthless company. They hope your pet dies before you get to the vet and they do not have to pay out anything. All they care about is getting that monthly payment. They are only good for new pet owners who ask questions about how to care for a pet. If their "vets" were any good, they would have their own practice.
Find a good pet insurance company that will do what you pay them for.
