I bought 2 blue star balloons at the Oceanside location. It began to deflate by the time I got to my location less than 10 minutes away. They offered to give my money back but the location is a distance from my home. Very disappointed.

I purchased a piñata online that what was way too small. So I took it to the north I 35 party city by Palmer Lane in hopes that either they can exchange it or return my money, I was told by the rude manager who rolled her eyes that she does not do exchanges or refunds at this location that I need to go all the way to Cedar Park and carried on about what she was doing instead of just continuing to talk with me. I will never ever purchased from party city and I will will be returning all purchased items that I purchased for Easter back because I don't deserve this no one does.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure you go in the store because this location is very rude.

Products used:
Purchase on my Easter items from Amazon so I can return everything purchased from party city.

I get that you get what you pay for and honestly I love the wide selection PC has. But literally almost EVERY TIME I order online (I own a business and order materials 1-5x per month) its either the wrong item sent, different than the img, or almost ALWAYS damaged/scratched/broken in some way. Their shippers/ warehouse or supervisors mustvreally not care about whats on the packimg slips or how they throw them in the boxes... new employees and training needed!
I also didnt recieve 2 items on my last order and wasnt notified of them being out of stock or anything amongst the 6 other items I did recieve, 5 of them were scratched/broken or damaged in some way. Im calling today for ANOTHER refund

Verified purchase

I recently went to the Party City website to order some items for some children's birthday gift bags I'm putting together. I think I had maybe visited a Party City bricks and mortar store once in the past. But this was my first online order. I placed my order and it arrived fairly quickly. No problems there. But where the issues usually arise for me is that once I have the order I consider the transaction completed. But because this is the good 'ol USA, to businesses it means they now have my personal information and will exploit it by hammering me with unwanted marketing until the end of days.

I woke up to a Party City advertising e-mail (they always think they are so clever doing their e-mail push at 4am so their marketing message is the very first thing you'll see when you check your messages in the morning. Ugh. As soon as I got to a computer I went to their site to see about getting off the "BUY MORE CHEAP CHINESE JUNK" train.

Their website listed a number I could use to text them my request. So I tried that but the message would not send. It just would not work. OK. So I also saw some text that indicated they had Live Chat. But there was no button or any other way to initiate the chat, even though I was doing this within the window of business hours they listed. Well, OK. I guess I'll call the 800 number.

So I called the number and got the standard robotic menu. Except it wasn't accepting the number prompt I was inputting, and began repeating the menu options again. After multiple pushes I finally got it to accept the prompt. Only to get a message about their "exciting news" (yeah, I'm not kidding) about how you can now text customer service. So I bypassed that, and then heard a tone as if I was connecting to customer service. Except no one was there. The line was dead. Silence. So I had to repeat the entire process. Grr. Nice phone system guys.

Finally got through to a human. But of course that human was in a far off call center, with an accent as thick as concrete. And while I'm sure his English is better than my Tagalog, I once again am left to wonder what the point is of having customer service when it is extremely difficult to communicate with them. What's worse in this case is that the guy was unable to handle a simple request to remove my personal information from their marketing list. For that I'd have to call corporate directly. He gave me a number. I hung up and dialed it. And I got the voicemail for some woman at some billing department (not even certain it was Party City).

OK. So then it was out to the Internet to find a working telephone number. Found a couple but they were disconnected. Then I was back to the website to hunt through a bunch of fine print to locate an e-mail address to make a privacy request. Sigh. And I don't even want to think about how much time I wasted to simply have my personal, private information treated with care, as opposed to being wildly exploited as a commodity.

Something has to change in America! This experience is all too common and reflects much more greed than actual customer service. I regret purchasing anything from Party City and won't be repeating the mistake.

I bought a pinata that cost $39.95. We only filled it up about halfway with candy because it was a quite large pinata and we hung it from the tree the handle on it broke and the pinata fell to the ground and bust open before one child even got to hit the pinata. In addition I bought 20 glow-in-the-dark swords that cost $1.69 each and almost every last one of them was broke within two seconds of taking it out of the package that's how cheaply made they were the handles most of them were split. I like the variety they have at Party City but they're way overpriced especially for the lack of quality of the merchandise that you receive.

We were at 107 Ave store in Doral, we and few customers were trying to pay and even with 3 or 4 cashiers there, no one was available to ring the purchases, they were all very happy having fun between themselves my husband ended leaving the store without the Halloween mask he liked! It's a pity for a great store like Party City!

I stood in line for 12 minutes and watched 5-6 employees badly manage their customer service floor stragedy.

I dont know which of them was the floor lead or manager, but they really could've used more than one employee to handle the ballon blowing process and telling me I have a 30 minute wait to blowup one purchased balloon (or recommending me to buy a helium machine for one balloon).

Many choices, BUT if you plan and buy ahead, especially for large events, DO NOT buy! The return policy is just 30 days! I won't go to Party City for anything

I will never order online thru Party City again. I put in an order on the 7th and it shipped on the 9th. I was first sent an email telling me my purchase would be here the 13th of December. Then it was delayed and due to be here on the 16th. After waiting all day for it to be delivered, my tracking information was updated to deliver on the 17th via the Post Office not UPS as it was originally shown for. If I have to get anything from them in the future, I will go into the store not order online. Also the shipping fee was very high. The product I needed was for a secret Santa gift for my daughter's school and they didn't have it in the store. I really wish I wouldn't have bothered with ordering it. What I ordered was only like $7 but with shipping it ended up being $16. I paid just as much for the item as I did shipping. Definitely will NOT be using Party City online in the future.

I ordered $75 worth of balloons for my son's 13th birthday party. The original party date was moved due to a snowstorm. I contacted the store in advance and was told that it would be no problem to fill the order at a later date when the party has been rescheduled. After we rescheduled the party (just a couple of weeks later), I went to fill the order and the manager told me that they were out of helium. There was a helium crisis and no store was able to get any from a vendor. I had to ask her several questions in order to get some kind of resolution. I decided to reduce my order and the suggestion she made was that I try to get the balloons blown up elsewhere. I tried other stores but they wouldn't blow up the balloons since I didn't purchase them at their stores. I ended up going to the Party City in Mooresville. They had helium and blew up the balloons. They explained that per my receipt, the North Lake party city charged me for balloons and helium. I was quite angry after all the hoops that I had been overcharged. I would say don't go to the North Lake party city. They were not helpful at all. I should not have had to go through all of the hoop jumping. They should have cared that I spent money in their store and tried to help me to the best of their ability. Very poor customer service. The party city in Mooresville was much nicer and willing to help.
