Your products are awesome! Long time customer! You have delightful selections of plants, seeds, equipment and fertilizer!
This is the review that I placed last week. (Used these 2 years ago canned 2years of sauce from 10 plants. This year 10 seeds started in a bio dome from parks with heating pad resulted in 5 plants. I guess as with all companies now days its profit before quality. I'll have to see what my other seeds do and see if I need to look for another source for seeds.) my review was never posted, I guess they only post the good ones.
I ordered some things with a Visa gift card on Feb 16th, it processed just fine online, even shows their payment pending on my card. I get a call from them on Feb 19 days saying it won't process and they need another form of payment. After back and forth (They said I have to register an address for my card but my card doesn't require that, it went through just fine, anyway...) I asked that they just cancel the whole order and refund my money. I then received an email message that they already shipped it (without payment apparently?) so I should write return to sender on it and send it back. I did that and they still haven't removed the pending payment on my card, so I still can't use my card! Side note- The original order should have only been for 98.57 so they also overcharged my card.
I just received your 2024 catalog. It is bound upside down and missing pages 75-111. Of course the pages I want to use--herbs, fruits, bulbs--are missing. I hope this isn't reflective of your quality control.
I have been growing vegetables at home, in my garden since 1989, and I have been very successful until last year (2023). Last year (2023) I ordered 20 + different types/varieties of seeds from Park Seed Company. The following seeds were ordered:
* Cucumber Diva & Cucumber Sir Crunch: did not produce except 6 cucumbers.
* Tomato Better Boy Hybrid, Big Beef Hybrid, & Early Girl Hybrid: (All did well, produced good # of tomatoes).
* Water Melon Mini Love Hybrid & Harvest Moon Hybrid (did not produce a single one).
* Pepper Park's Whopper Jalapeno Hybrid, II Hybrid, Pepper Hot Pathfinder (Serrano), Pepper Sweet Rainbow Blend: (the only one produced was the Whopper Jalapeno nothing else).
*Cantaloupe Park Whopper Hybrid: Did not produce a single one.
* Carrot Berlicum Berlin F1: Production was very week/Poor production (the sizes were around 2.5-3.0 inches each carrot.
* Lettuce: Very week/Poor production.
* Beef Detroit Dark Red: No production at all.
* Cabbage Katarina: Poor production (did not mature).
* Cauliflower Candid Charm Hybrid: No production at all (not a single one).
* Eggplant Amadeo Hybrid: Did good (produced good).
* Squash Smooth Criminal Hybrid: Not good, only a few (4 were produced).
* Zucchini Black Beauty Organic: Did not produce at all.
* Green Onion Parade: Did not grow at all.
* Artichoke Imperial Star: No production at all
As I stated at the beginning of my review that I have been growing a variety of vegetables since 1989 VERY SUCCESSFULLY. The whole (2023) season was wasted.
This was my first time ordering from this company (Park Seed). Very Disappointed

I ordered different seeds from them and the overall germination rate was very poor. The worst ones were the super sugar snap peas: out of 30+ seeds planted, roughly 80% ended up rotting. The ones that ended up germinating looked weakly and eventually died off. In contrast, I also bought snap seeds from two other companies and the germination rate was 100% & speedy. This means that the issue was with the seeds specifically ordered from Park Seeds. I submitted a review on their website and I'm more than certain they will not be posting it publicly. I only see 5-star reviews for all their products, with several years apart.
I should have looked at your rating here before I purchased--Spent money on seeds dirt pouches and soil and not counting my Time trying to go Creeping Thyme -- I think it is sweet basil But not Creeping Thyme for my landscaping. I did not order from amazon because of their ratings so I came to a seed co only to find out Park Seed Got the Basil seed same place as amazon with the same NON-THYME result. That is why the labels were all in chinese-- I am not pleased
I ordered from Park Seed for the first time this year. I received duplicate orders and my credit card was charged twice. I called customer service 4 times over 6 weeks, each time I was told they would refund me in a variety of times (7-10 days, 5-7 days, etc) but they never did. I finally contacted Better Business Bureau, uploaded my evidence, including the call log, and received credit within a week. I'll never order from them again.
I bought a $150 gift card for my Dad, who passed away unexpectedly. Park Seed would not honor the gift card when I tried to use the balance, saying that it had expired. What terrible customer service!
Tip for consumers:
Do not buy gift cards from them. Generally speaking, don't support businesses with bad customer service.
When you call and press any one of their buttons for service, you get to listen to music for ever. Tried calling 9 different times and no one answers the phone.they emailed me saying they had a problem with my credit card, but not able to talk to anyone or get a response. My advice don't order from them
I bought some perennials last year and they are growing again this spring, But I forgot what they were so I don't know how to take care of them. But I can't find any purchase records on their website. They don't keep the purchase histories for us. They do not make it easier for their customers. The purchase history can be found on any website except theirs. TERRIBLE after-sales service!
Tip for consumers:
Keep the purchase email if you shop on this website.

For a packet of seeds priced $8.95 the total order cost $16.44 with a shipping cost of $5.95 and a $1.00 fuel surcharge and.54 tax. SIte advertised $2.99 flat rate shipping on seed only orders with code SHIPSEEDS. I placed my order at 7pm and then discovered I had forgot to input the shipping code and was charged the $5.95 and $1.00 fuel surcharge. Mistake on my part. I emailed customer service at 11:15pm the same night the order was placed requesting order be cancelled. First thing the next morning I tried to call the number for customer service shown in my order confirmation email. Found that the number is just a recording which tells you to reach out to customer service via email (which I did 4 hours after placing the order) or online chat during the summer. The response from the chat was that order was already shipped and nothing they could do. Very dissappointed and won't purchase from them again. Should have checked reviews first as I see they are not very highly rated. I have been happily shopping with Baker Creek / Rare Seeds who always provide free shipping across the USA.
Was sent a dead fig tree, when my Husband and I removed it from the container it was so root bound, it looked very old and forgotten, it looked like top ramen before cooking just bigger ( the roots). I contacted the Company, but no response or refund. I will never order any plants online again; learned my lesson P.S. No instructions or info included
I had purchased seeds of Marigold, Cosmos, Malabar Spinach and Orient long beans from Parkseed. Except for small growth in Malabar spinach ( 6 plants out of 25 seeds) and Orient long bean (15 plants germinated), rest of the purchase was a waste. Last year, I bought the Cosmos and Marigold seeds from Homedepot and it did better than compared to Parkseed. I will never recommend buying from Parkseed to any one. I reported a complaint, still to hear back from them. Their seeds and customer service takes the same amount of time to respond, I guess... terrible terrible terrible..
Tip for consumers:
Their refund policy :
Quote "Our Guarantee
We guarantee all Park Seed products to be high quality, true to type, shipped properly, and to perform as advertised. If your plant has received our recommended care and doesn't perform to your satisfaction, notify us and we will replace it free of charge or provide the cost of the product as credit toward a future purchase. " Unquote
I do not want to purchase any more from them. So they should refund instead of giving a credit for future purchase.

I believe the question is: Do they actually have customer service at all?
Please stay away from this company. I was never able to get in contact with them. If you cannot get behind your company or product you do not deserve our business.
A lot of hard working companies out there that really want your business so give it to them instead!

First I had no idea at all that my order was coming from China. My tracking info didn't work initially, my order took forever to arrive and when it did nothing was labeled so i have no clue what is what. Besides this actually reaching anyone is almost impossible.
I wish I had reviewed Park Seed before my order. I see their 1.8 stars are well deserved. Never got my order and emails and phone messages have been un-returned.
Tip for consumers:
NEVER GOT MY ORDER. Wont return emails or phone messages

They changed the charged amount on my credit card. I placed an order and received comfiration and and total charge. I few days later I receive a message from PayPal saying that ParkSeed had increased the charge on my creditcard. This should be illegal to change a charge without my permission.
I bought a calla lily Odessa from this site and was really excited to receive it. When I received the bulb it was covered in green mold and activated my allergies immediately. The bulb was squishy and molded down to the core. I emailed this company and told them that I would like a refund. The person (Guillermo) apologized that my bulb did not do well in my garden and offered to send another bulb. First, I never planted the bulb and never said that I had. And second, I never asked for a second bulb, I said I wanted a refund. I would use the refunded money to shop elsewhere.
I then called a customer service rep about getting a refund. She sounded uninterested and mean. Eventually, she understood that I wanted a refund and said that she would process it. I never got a confirmation for a refund. And now, here I am, a week later, with an open case on PayPal waiting for the company to respond.
I do not recommend this place to ANYONE. I wish I would have looked up the reviews before purchasing anything. You are better off finding a local nursery, or if you have to shop online, shop at Holland Bulb, American Meadows, or Eden Brothers.
Tip for consumers:
That their refund policy is a joke. If you ask for a refund it is very likely that they will not refund you and instead just send you another product. If you are able to contact someone by phone to request a refund, they might sound uninterested or mean. You will probably not get a refund even though the representative said they would send it.

OK, very limited selection (things "sold out")... Order made and paid.
3+ week wait, just to learn shipping info sent to USPS finally. Several days later learn USPS is still waiting for Park Seed to hand over my order so USPS can ship/deliver it. I ask for refund/cancellation by email... no response. I call customer service (45 minute wait) and customer service rep can't seem to speak up or speak normal english and puts me on hold (to ask supervisor what to do). Package is finally received and I mark it return to sender for full refund and deposit it at USPS office, Now I am waiting again, but at least I bought my seeds from another vendor and got them in 3 days.
I ordered a Portabella Mushroom Kit and instead they sent me a less expensive Button Mushroom Kit. Since I notified them of the problem, they have completely ignored me. I've dealt with Park Seeds and some of their sister companies for quite awhile, but never again. The review I left on their website has gone unpublished.
Tip for consumers:
RUN!

Have had the worst experience ever, ordering an egift certificate from Park Seed for a friend's birthday. Gave them all the information TWICE - once to the telephone associate who asked all the necessary questions and then the second time to the person who had to take the credit information (I guess because they don't trust the in-take person to handle credit card transactions). I asked the credit card person to repeat the information including the email address where I wanted the egift card sent, and the birthday message we included. Based on the email Park Seed sent me, it apparently is sending the egift card by USPS to some address that has nothing to do with me OR my friend who is having the birthday. I've never dealt with such incompetence for an online order and will be calling my credit card company to cancel the egift card. Park Seed's customer service is a joke. Phone numbers listed on its website are either not working or go unanswered and the same is true for its email contact. All I've received is the perfunctory "thanks for contacting us," reply saying they'll reach out to me. HA. That's a joke because there's been no attempt to get in touch with me. This will mean that my friend's present will be late but I'll know now to never deal with Park Seed again. What an incredible disappointment.
Tip for consumers:
Buy from a different seed company. I'm not a gardener, but there has too be better-run companies out there that can competently fill an online order for an egift card.

Had to cancel the order for an egift card because Park Seed sent it by USPS to its own headquarters in South Carolina.
Bought two clematis plants from Park Seed last year. Both died. When I called to have them replaced, I was told that the guarantee was only good for 90 days. Advice: do not buy any plants from them. Many other mail order companies - Breck's, Michigan Bulb - have full year or longer guarantees, as do local/national nurseries such as Home Depot & Lowe's.
I contacted Park Seed about some plants that did not survivefirst by email and then an attempted live chat. They never responded back. I spent $50 on dead plants and now apparently have no recourse.
Horrible customer service. I sent two emails and no answers. Finally called today and was disconnected. The amount of time it is taking to ship the orders is ridiculous. I called today for the third time to cancel my order. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
