I had such a great experience! This was a present for my husband and son. They incorporated all of the details that I asked for in such a beautiful way. They were super efficient mocking up 2 different designs with both pictures included. Kept me up to date on the progress and shipped quickly once the final approval was submitted. It turned out better than I expected! My husband was so surprised and loves it!

If I could give Zero Stars I would. I've reached out to this company over 20 times through email, chat, and phone. They received over $600 for an oil painting I still did not receive. My order contained one minor modification (adding glasses) that took three weeks to get an update for. No Christmas gift, then promised for New Year. Still don't have it and no communication. BEWARE.

So I ordered and paid electing express service to get my painting by Christmas, that was the advertisement. They billed the full total immediately, not the 10% as advertised and i let that go. Then they didn't listen to how I wanted the people arranged in my painting first off, telling me it may not arrive in time if i make them amend it. I decide to let that go. After the artist had supposedly painted my picture, I needed to approve it before shipping, come to find out my express service did not include shipping which is not disclosed on the website. They also wanted to charge another 175$ to ship! I did not approve the painting and canceled because they made my wife look old and my daughter had a huge nose, both were way lighter skin tone too. They took my money and offered no solution but to cancel and wait for my money back.

You guys ruined my Christmas!

I was supposed to have the painting FEB 10th its been out for framing since Jan 27th. This is ridiculous and I understand things happen but waiting this long is not right. As it was a valentines day gift and well at this rate might as well be a Easter gift… If i ever get it. Will be asking for a refund soon.

The painting was completed quickly and it was GUARANTEED by Christmas. I placed the original order at the end of November and it was completed and paid for on December 8th. Today is December 28th and it still hasn't shipped. It did not arrive by Christmas as stated it would and I have spoken to them via email twice and phone call twice and have been told the same thing each time. "It is expected to arrive this week" which clearly it is not. They will not allow me to escalate to a manager and have not made any progress on shipping it that I've been informed of. I know others who had a good experience but I have not.

I placed my initial order on April 14th. I was so excited to get this painting for my fiance because it was a picture of him and his brother that passed away. They sent the preview and it looked amazing. They sent the final and they nailed my brother in law but my fiance looked HORRIBLE. We modified a million times and they finally switched artist. Again, they sent a preview and it was amazing. Sent the final and now my fiance looks okay but my brother looks HORRIBLE. Needless to say on June 9th, I still have no painting and now I have no Fathers Day gift either. I would not recommend going here especially if you need the painting within a year.

I actually inform the truth regarding my experiences from businesses. I submitted an order 2/7 on a Wednesday. I included a memo about the photos of the individuals submitted were deceased and it was all I had. If they can't do it I would understand. Brenda contacted me requesting better pictures on Friday. I responded back immediately the same day. I explained the SAME THING as I stated earlier when I submitted my order. "Those are the only pictures! If they can't do it, I understand." I heard nothing for two days. I sent another email 2/12 being the date of this review. I'm requested a refund because no work was done. No response was given from Friday from Brenda. Customer service is very poor/slow. Just by this incident, I was wrong for giving these people another opportunity. I can't stand poor customer service. I'm still waiting for a response from Friday. It's three days and no response! Thank Jesus I didn't pay for the entire project! If they act like this over $49, imagine how they'll act with $500! You've been warned!

*See how unprofessional they conduct business? I emailed them three times and never got a response. Now this robo responder who replies to unsatisfactory responses is advising me to contact them. They left no direct contact information. I'm supposed to attempt the same unsuccessful method by email! They haven't responded to the last three emails. I'm in the process of reporting this business for scamming and bad business practices. I'm so grateful I didn't pay the entire amount. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! Please remember not to only look at the positive ratings. Research the negative reviews. Most consumers are saying the same things about this business! *They IGNORE emails! I have the emails to prove it! I actually responded about two hours later to the robo responder through Trust Pilot and STILL haven't received anything! They posted a response advising me to contact them. Nothing happened— at least in my experience! I'm giving you relevant, trustworthy, information about this business! Remember, this is only over a deposit of $49!

I’m so disgusted with this business! I’m only making people aware of how I was treated. I gave them another opportunity from the last time (about two ago) when they reimbursed me for expedited shipping when they failed to deliver!

Several mistakes and delays and over $700 later, they can't tell me where my painting is. No tracking info at all. After they guaranteed it would be here in time for Christmas before we ordered. Now that we have and paid it's a different story. Buyer beware.

I watch your ads, the thought of having a painting that physically includes a lost family member was breath- taking and emotional as I pondered in dreams of the opportunity. We have taken family pictures with someone always holding the portrait of our missing loved one, my grandson.who was adopted. One day we hope to be reunited but this opportunity will be a blessing.
After 6 weeks of articulating my requests in writing. I rejected 10 attempts. The artist doesn't pay attention to what you write. They promise a realistic painting.
No communication efforts were made to me, I have limited access to pictures of him. I was not told to change pictures. The stress and frustration was simply unreal. You talk with the agents who are polite but very scripted in what they say.
I finally has to cancel the whole experience.

Tip for consumers:
Speaking to different agent eveyrime did not help. They don't answer emails either.

Products used:
I wanted a.painting in Acrylic. I refused to continue to ask for changes. My mind and heart built in heartbreak and disappointmemt.

This is my second time ordering from this website. I ordered in September 2021. This order was paid for and hit has not shipped. It has been in the waiting to pick up status for over a week. I have contacted the company to let them know that this shipping had a promise date of 10/25/2021. It is now 10/30/2021 and it is still in the waiting to be picked up status. I need this painting before November 3,2021.
The customer service reps keep saying " you will receive your painting before (11/3/2021). I don't know why this is in the waiting to be picked up status for so long however if this item isn't here by 11/3/2021 i am going to be requesting a full refund or disputing the charge

They rank #7 by Google as this type of site. They also dont tell you that the artist can be overseas somewhere. Go with a better site that has live customer service and cares about their customers

They advertise that you can send them photos of people now past. They advertise these large paintings with beautiful frames being unpackaged. It is a lie. I started my order on November 10 and it took three months to complete. First because they would not sell me a large canvas like they show on their website. Secondly because they no longer sell anything except the smallest frames; yet the continue to advertise and list prices as if they do.

Multiple email and phone calls resulted in no honesty from these people. If they had just come out and said "We don't sell those sizes of paintings and frames anymore" I could have moved on. After 60 days your money is their money even if you have nothing to show for it. You are expected to know their jobs better than they themselves do and act accordingly.

Phone calls are outsourced to a call center out-side of the U.S. The people answering are nice, respectful and do a great job at making think there is no problem. At the end of the phone call, you feel better and NOTHING has changed.

I finally received my painting in a tube. I did not get what I paid for and am unable to easily find a company that will frame original artwork for less than a few hundred dollars. I cannot hang my painting; it is in a closet. They advertise large frame and list prices but they do not sell them. You CANNOT buy what they advertise!

In fairness the artiest did a wonderful job. It is the lies of the company that prompted me to report them to the BB and every online site I can and will find both private and governmental in nature. Don't let these people steal from you.

You will not get what you pay for and they do not sell what they advertise. You will be disappointed.

I went through the whole ordering process, approving the final product. And when it came time for my final payment I was given the option of a gallery wrap which I selected, then I was given the option of an actual frame which I thought I also selected. I got two charges to my account which I assumed were the gallery wrapped portrait (all one charge) and then the actual frame. Turns out it was just the painting (canvas only) and the wrap was the additional charge

I have contacted this company several times after placing my order on July 22,2021. My approval an modification was done within a week tops. My artwork was approved the following week. So I have been contacting them for two and a half weeks for my artwork and all I get is it is sorting or it is waiting to be shipped. My artwork suppose to shipped by the 16th of August so I can have it by my on birthday with us the 26th. Well guess what it's the 23rd and it still hasn't shipped. Every time I call I hear some different excuse. I am so peed of, I spent over $400 dollars for nothing literally. Don't buy here because you will not get your product. You just get a bunch of lies for your money. I do not recommend, period.

Tip for consumers:
If you like waiting on the cable man all day when your appointment is between 9-12, use this site. Because waiting on your order from this company is just like waiting on the cable man……it (he) isn’t coming.

It has been a very tough year. We had 3 close family members and a beloved pet pass away this year alone. I placed an order for a $600+ painting. I was super excited because this would be the only image we would have of everyone together. I felt confident spending that money due to the promises on their website. Do not believe the unlimited revision clause. They don't mean it. I am guessing it is unlimited for very minor revisions. I was unhappy with one of the portraits and sent it back along with notes on what was the issue. I even sent in reference pictures to help. They literally sent me back the same painting with no comments. I felt like was being forced to approve it, even though I was not happy. I sent it back again with additional notes, and again it came back without any notes. I didn't see any changes. I figured I would just let it be and maybe the actual painting would be better. When the painting was delivered, I opened it along with two other people. As soon as we unrolled the painting, a dead bug dropped to the ground. We placed the painting on the table and it was beautiful. You could really see it was a painting. However, someone immediately pointed out four little lines on a white shirt on the painting. They were the legs of the fly that was on the ground. Then, we noticed another area with small dark spots. It was another fly that was dried into the painting. You could clearly make out the wing. Also, there were sketch marks under the painting that were clearly visible. All these issues were against a white portion of the painting so it was glaringly obvious. I was devasted. This was supposed to be a memorial gift for three deaths. I literally cried. The next day, I chatted with customer service representative Carlos Riquelme. I told him about my concerns and sent him photos. Right from the start, he was defensive. He told me that the flaws were minor and to be expected. He tried to convince me that those weren't bugs, but "brush hair". I kept an open mind and checked the painting and there was no way those were brush hairs. He said he reviewed the documentation and determined my claims were untrue. He kept saying "is there anything else I can help you with" like I was bothering him. I told him I understood about minor issues, but those issues should not distract from the painting, which these clearly did. He said they were minor issues again and if there was anything else he could help me with. I told him all he was looking at were photos from me and I am guessing the painter. He wasn't looking at the actual painting like I was. He said they were minor issues again and if there was anything else he could help me with. I was typing a response back when he ended the chatroom saying it had been a while since I responded and he was ending the conversation. He knew I was typing because when the other person is typing, you see the bubbles pop up. I had not put my phone down once. I was typing right away. He literally hung up on me. The 100% satisfaction clause is a complete lie. He told me my issues did not qualify me to return the painting. I would have been happy to just get those items covered with paint by the painter. This is so heartbreaking. This was supposed to be a special gift and now I am stuck with a $600+ painting that I am unhappy with. I am too embarrassed to even give it to the recipient. They should clearly show these "common flaws" on their website to warn people on what to expect. Customer service was so inhumane. They didn't care about my situation at all. This was a terrible experience for a terrible year.

If you are buying this for a gift for you loved one for a holiday I would NOT rely on their timelines to make sure you get it on time! I paid expedited shipping and they refunded me the money and said sorry. Now it's 12 days later (then the date I was supposed to have had the painting) and I still have not received my painting. I would have never ordered if I would have known the painting would be this late. Almost 600 basically down the drain. Called and emailed customer service and all the have said repeatedly is sorry we can't do anything else. All I'm saying is don't give timelines if you can't stick by them!

I had commissioned two paintings from paintyourlife.com. I received them last week. The first painting was very good however the second painting the artist painted the subject completely wrong adding long hair. I have contacted them but they said they would do nothing to correct it. The painting was shipped from china so assume they do not have artists in the US. Be careful dealing with them. All I wanted was the hair corrected but they refuse to help. Their customer support is horrible and I will not use them again. Their guarantee of 100 percent satisfaction is a smoke screen. Buy from US artists to avoid this joke of a company.

I am highly disappointed in this company. The customer service is awful! They promise promise and promise and still something doesn't ship on time. I order over a month ago and still don't have my painting that was a Christmas gift! For WEEKS 8 I followed and contacted customer service to ensure my package was on time. Every time I was not only told different things but I was also told "don't worry it will be there on time" Finally I demanded to speak with a supervisor, she promised me she has put in 3 day shipping and my package will be here on a certain date. She ensured me she would follow my package to make sure personally it gets out on time and email me the tracking info. She emailed me the next day and NO it didn't ship out on time STILL. And she didn't follow it out the door. Next phone call was from the MANAGER, who had the audacity to tell me that I needed to contact Fedex to have my package expedited. Furious that as a customer I had to go out of my way, I did and was only told I couldn't do anything about it because I wasn't the shipper. I told the manager this more than once and she did NOTHING. I wish I could say I'll order from this company again, I wish I could say that this was an amazing experience but it wasn't, it was pure awful and I will never order here again. Because here I am, still with no package.

Ordered a painting of my fiance and her recently deceased mother on Nov 30th. Even though the edited photoshop look like a 9yr old did it I was still optimistic because the painting could've looked much different. Apparently they didnt even start it even though the status showed "Being Painted".
I also paid for "express service" so she would get it by Christmas (tomorrow). They stated because I paid for express service I would have it in 21 days. I got told today (December 24th) that it would be an additional 22-26 days. Unacceptable.

My picture was approved on November 24th for my father, his mother just recently passed away and so did his father so I got a picture made of my grandparents, father, and my kids together and the picture says 3-5 business days to ship out. It has been almost 3 weeks and nothing has shipped. The picture was suppose to be for a birthday present and never arrived and no it won't even arrive for Christmas either. They won't give me an answer why it hasn't shipped and still hasn't shipped it and they don't know when it will be shipped. No answers and terrible service.

I ordered my painting a month and half early so my wife could get it by Mother's Day they sent an email Saturday saying sorry but your portrait will not be arriving by Sunday! The only thing they offered was refund my shipping cost and 20% off my next purchase! No thanks I'll go somewhere else! It was a major mess up by my he company and for the 700+ dollars I spent on this portrait I'm highly disappointed

I paid back in November because I got an offer for a portrait and paid for the express shipping. I had to go back and fourth with the artist, never once was I told that I had a deadline to meet to receive the photo in time. Today, get an email that my photo won't get here till 12/29/21, no help from customer service and there is no one in charge! Thx for screwing up the gift!

Don't do it. To start this off I tried for over a week to get ahold of them and now they wanna act like it's a robot messaging. When I got to talk to someone on Facebook they deleted my comments so people didn't know.

I specifically asked for a artist that was not cartoony. I wanted something like they advertise. Like a actual picture. But nope. It's very cartoony does not look anything like the picture they sent me to approve at all. After I finally paid for it they dropped all communication. The person I talked to on Facebook now acts like a robot. But that's how I was talking to someone with any questions I had and they got back to me fast and it was a person. The robot keeps saying they don't understand what I'm trying to say. I have reached out through their web page emails phone number Facebook their Facebook group.

Scammy. I mean you get a painting but it's not worth it.

I paid over $400 (not including the frame they don't tell you about until it's ready to ship out) for a 12 x 16 of 2 people.

I basically got a blown up clip out of a comic book.

But I gave it to someone as a gift so I can't take it away
They more laughed than cried when they received it because it looked like a cartoon.

I knew it was too good to be true there's always some type of catch

Don't waist your money there are other people better and cheaper.

Customer service is a joke after you pay.
But before you pay they are amazing.

Shop around local paint schools or that paint and drinking wine class teachers.

Painting not acceptable
I approved the edited photo but the finished painting was no where near up to standard and the workmanship bore no comparison with the sample portraits on their website. After several attempts to put it right the quality did not improve despite the fact that twice I was emailed by them to tell me they had flagged it for quality issues. In the end I cancelled and got my deposit refunded.

I wish I could give this company zero stars. After waiting a month to finally receive a painting I paid $400 for, the frame is falling apart and scratched on all 4 sides. You can't even reach anyone at the company, the only person you can talk to is in a call center overseas. The customer service is horrible! Find a local artist, do not waste your time with this scam artist company!

Tip for consumers:
DO USE this company! They overcharge, take a month to ship, use call centers overseas, can’t actually talk to anyone at the company, and don’t care to make the issue right! I wanted to have the painting reframed locally and they refused to help after making me wait a month for the painting. Worst experience ever

It's unfortunate that they pretend these are actually hand painted. They print the image on canvas then have an "artist" add a few strokes to make it appear authentic. I believe in transparency, so should you.
