When my granddaughter and I, walked into O'Reilly's on S. Main St., Salisbury, NC we were treated like we belong here. Colton, Oscar and Christy engaged us very politely and knowledgeable. This overall shopping experience was quick. Thank you, The Chapman's
Customer Service is not existing. Employees not helpful. No signage for sales items. Pour Service all around. I will never go back.
I have always been happy with this store, that's why I gave it a 3. Tonight I walked in at 8:58. I needed a bulb for my license plate. When I walked in there was a young man leaning against the counter on his phone. Since it was so close to 9 I asked if they were still open. He said "yes but we are getting ready to close. " I told him all I needed was the bulb and as he looked over towards the aisle, without even standing up from his leaning position or putting the phone down, I interjected with "is there a book over there to tell me which bulb it would be? " His answer was "no. Not for that. Would you mind coming back tomorrow?'
Mind you the door is still unlocked and open a few inches. I said "yes sure I can do that. I sure hope I don't get pulled over", as I walked out the door to my car. When I got back to my car the door was still unlocked and open a few inches. So is it today's younger generation that does want to go the extra mile. This would not have been the extra mile. The store was open. The door was open. This was a sale. It could have been the 2% added to the bottom margin that was needed to keep that kid his job, But I was interrupting his phone time. I will still go to this store. If I do have the opportunity to speak to him I will tell him what I thought. When I was in my early 20,'s I worked for a family owned business. I learned a lot from that owner that has carried me thru life with outstanding work ethics. My customer was my paycheck. His policy was to stay open 5mins later then posted and to serve that customer as if he was the first customer of the day
I was hired on by Chad Keel years ago.I left for a few years and came back bringing my customer base with me.Me and the store manager brought in Heavy duty parts and a hydraulic hose crimper to cater to our customers. My best customer was Griffith company, who would spend about 30,000 a month. After we left no one was able to handle the business. Your company doesn't know how to keep its customers, and properly train among the ranks.
Istalled an Ultimate alternator in a lincoln mkx. Lasted 400 miles. Alternator #2 Bench tested as failed. Now waiting for #3. They offer no labor assistance.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure electrical parts test ok at store before installing

A bad joke!? Just like Amazon you cannot count on any mail delivered part when you need a part ASAP. Ordered Friday 12/30 2022, was supposed to be here next day, New Year's Eve day/Saturday, Saturday item had not even been picked up by FedEx yet and today's Sunday still no movement. This is the second time I've used this service and chosen their part over another, I won't be doing it again. I don't think the last one shipped at all and I canceled the order - I know I never received it from them. O'Reilly is good for one thing when you have to have a part, preferably a small cheap part like a break clip when you've already ordered the actual breaks from someplace online when you've had time to do so (and they have it in stock) - that's about it, otherwise I can't stand going into any of these auto parts stores!

I have accounts with all the big auto places Autozone, Advance, etc. I'd say Oriellys is on the lower end. Their scan tool used to be the best and now they have digressed back to vanilla ones they all use. The parts are better quality than Autozone, but still not up to Advance. I shop here sparingly.
I like getting parts here when I need parts now. If there is time, I always check Amazon first. Amazon auto parts, when available can be 30% to 60% cheaper. And the shipping is free if you wait 5-8 business days with a min. Of $25 or $50 purchase. Depends on Amazon.
Better Parts... Better Prices... Everyday!
