“GlassesUSA does not refund or produce glasses ordered”

I Ordered 2 pair of glasses from GlassesUSA Dec, 2018. As of April 26,2019, I have not received glasses as promised and the company refuses to refund my money. They have told me 4 different stories including lost packages, frames out of stock, etc as to why they cannot fulfill my order yet 6 months later they refuse to refund my credit card as well. Fraudulent company. DO NOT ORDER FROM GLASSESUSA!

The company Optical4Less is probably not a scam exactly, but more likely just a very poorly run company in Hong Kong with little knowledge in conducting an international business.

They seem to have difficulty with the most basic common business practices such as email communication in a timely manner. The website makes no mention that you'll encounter additional fees. There's also an "international fee" probably added by your credit card company that would be nice to get some advance notice of during the checkout process. And when I bought additional lenses (without frames), it required using some foreign pay pal "like" service that makes you wince as you press the pay button. Not a lot of confidence.

Then there's the glasses quality. Either average to below average quality frames and if there's a problem (as with my order), it can literally takes weeks to months to get it corrected, if you do at all. The frames are flimsy at best but even with that, one might figure they didn't pay much so no big deal. It's just that in the modern world, you expect more than "dead air" on the other end. It's pretty infuriating to deal with their customer service.

Truly not worth the headache and effort to supposedly "save" money. Even a minor hiccup could cost you money and many weeks and possibly a month or more of wasted time.

Edit: I will say that you can "sometimes" get decent customer service with Optical4less. My significant other has bought around 10 pairs over a decade and only on an occasion, had a hiccup. So my review shouldn't be taken as, "Stay Away!" But just have your expectations in the right place.
