My experience with OpinionOutpost.com was positive in the beginning - surveys were frequent & I was lucky to qualify for some that paid reasonably well. I made the mistake of using the "Refer A Friend" feature, referring my neighbor. The Terms & Conditions state that it's 1 member per HOUSEHOLD. That's it. Well, I got the "frozen" due to "data concern" message one day. The Help Desk had to look into it for weeks. They finally get back to me after I badger them for an answer. They accuse me of having MORE THAN ONE ACCOUNT and banned me! This was NOT TRUE but they didn't want to hear anything else from me - CASE CLOSED!. I think the problem was allowing my neighbor to jump on my wireless hotspot using my cell phone internet, as well as allowing her to send a payment to my Paypal account until hers was verified and she received her debit card. I checked the T&C before going forward and since I saw NOTHING in their T&C that states this is against their rules, I felt that it was acceptable. I am not 100% certain this is the reason, but it's my best guess because Opinion Outpost never gave me an answer except I violated their T&C and was no longer a member. One person told me I had multiple accounts, but wouldn't elaborate on how both accounts could possibly be mine. I used my computer at home with a wired connection, my neighbor used her computer using my wireless connection (I think it was a laptop but it could have been an ipad or tablet). Either way, I couldn't find any info in the T&C that mentioned a shared Paypal account being a violation. And the worst part of it all is that I was a very active member, cashing out over $400 in 3 months, and my neighbor was a registered member for a month at the most and it took her the whole month to accumulate enough to cash out $10. If this REALLY were a 2nd account created BY ME, FOR ME, I'm SURE that I would have earned much more than that, especially if the point of a 2nd account is to make extra cash. What would be the benefit to me if it was an extra $10 a MONTH?
So anyone who is on a roll right now with the site, I'd be careful and stay away from the referral option because they may give you the referral credit at first, but later they may link your account to your referrals, then ban you and I lost all my earnings, and my poor neighbor now thinks ALL online surveys are scams and a waste of time because of the experience she had with this site. I felt bad for the referral and wish I never did it on their site. They also went so far as to kick me off ipoll.com after they bought them out. The reason was multiple accounts - and even though it wasn't on iPoll.com, they still merged their records and I was kicked off after being a member there for over a year. Any site SSI owns is operated the same way, and they have the worst customer service.

This is one of the better companies out there.

I think I joined around the first week of Febuarary 2015. The company name is: Survey Sampling International LLC. That is what will appear on your PayPal payment. I'm looking at my 1099 misc from last year. I made $1,196.60. Am I rich? Not from them alone, I also run my own import/export business from my home. Put that together with the other survey companies I'm a member of and I make about $7000 a year. It does involve a lot of time. You will qualify for a lot of surveys, then some days you may not. The biggest problem with this company is, even if you finish a survey and do not get paid or taken back to the main Opinion Outpost homepage, the burden of proof is on you! I have probably over 50 surveys that I finished and did not receive pay. Yet, they always give you the same canned response. They will credit you once the survey closes in 2 - 4 weeks. Not once have I ever been credited. I've probably lost over $90 because they chose not to stand behind their members. A lot of times you will spend 10 minutes on a survey and get disqualified. Then when you look at your survey history it will say you didn't finish the survey. I have brought this up to customer no-support, stating why the hell would I waste 15 minutes of my time completing a survey just to stop and not finish it? Makes no sense, but they choose to ignore it and you, without credit. Altogether on several occasions they have responded with "we see you spent a considerable amount on this survey, here is $ for your time. So they have the ability to see you did the survey or spent lots of time on it, but just they just choose not to pay you! In my Opinion (no pun intended) they could care less about it's members. What do I have to do beyond making $1200 for myself and I'm sure a hell of a lot more for them, to prove you shouldn't screw over your members. I've written them so many times and told them I would love to recommend this company to everyone I come in contact or do business with. I can not do it! Until Opinion Outpost starts standing up for their members and doing away with the scumbag partners that want to screw you out of 50 cents because they choose to disqualify (after 10 minutes of answers) or straight out just not pay you after taking a survey. One good thing is I have actually made an additional $400 testing products sent to my home, I've tested from bread crumbs, noodles, 10 lbs of dog food, peanuts from Doritos and underwear, just to name a few. They are definitely not a scam. I would have loved to give them 5 stars, but I can't. Until they step-up and do what's right (they have the ability to do it) one star is it. The speed and the process of the payment is top notch, unfortunately the lack of members support takes them down! But, give them a try. You will make money and earn your payout.
