Lost claim and refused to replace un- patchable tire. Running on dangerously damaged tires now.
June 9, 2023

Bought tires and rims for my 2011 BMW 328i E92 - First claim I submitted they made difficult. Got awarded a new tire and it was shipped but I never received. They're rude about the delivery of the tire showing me a picture of it at my apartment supposedly by GLS, yet wasn't there when I got home. Then to top it off my second claim ************** ( that happened during the same incident as first claim) was denied. Showing that even the tire shop refused to patch and repair said tire since it's on inner wall. So now I have two highly and unsafe damaged tires that I paid a lot of money for, and their not holding true to their road hazard warranty. It's very frustrating as well as disappointing. I will never buy from this " company " again. What a sham.

Take your business elsewhere!

Copy of last emails:
I'm really disappointed with online tires. First I get a tire sent to my apartment that I physically never received, either due to stolen or misplaced by delivery driver after taking the photo of it being by my door.
And second that even after my shop as well as American tire in Dublin California both said both tires are beyond repair, I can't get a tire for the rear that has a nail.

Long story short I still have to drive with two damaged tires, one that requires air fill up every morning and evening, and one that is damaged due to pot hole front passenger side.

I will not be using online tires ever again.
Complete one star service with prices that are 5 star.

Very disappointed.

Thank you for what help you tired to give. But I'm still out two highly damaged tires. Hope I don't crash. Especially since I have a long commute for work and work 12-15 hour shifts.

DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM ONLINE TIRES.COM! THEY ARE TOTALLY CORRUPT! A COMPLETE SCAM!
March 12, 2022

On February 3,2022 I placed my tire order via phone and paid in full $710.45 on this date with my credit card. The salesperson's name was John. He put me on hold prior to ordering to apparently confirm with his vendor that my tires were still available in which he stated they were. I was told that my tires would be shipped within 3-5 days, and that I would receive a confirmation email to track shipping.

When I did not receive a confirmation email from Online Tires within a week's time, I called back Online Tires on February 10th to inquire on status. I was told by the same salesperson John, that my order was cancelled by them. I was never notifying of this cancellation. I asked why my order was cancelled, and John stated it was because the tires are no longer available. I told John this does not make any sense, as when I ordered my tires via phone from him personally, he put me on hold to confirm with his vendor that the tires were indeed available. I immediately requested to speak to a manager/supervisor. He told me none were available, however, a manager named Anika would call me back.

Please note I have been trying to reconcile this issue with Online Tires manager Anika since February10th (over one month now)! I have called multiple times, been put on hold for over 1 hour on multiple occasions, had my calls disconnected, and was actually hung-up on when a representative finally answered the phone and I requested to speak to a manager. When I was lucky enough to actually speak to someone and requested to speak to Anika directly, I was told she was not available to speak to. On the two occasions I was miraculously able to break through their call screening and actually speak to Anika (on February 11th and 24th), she promised to investigate the issue, locate my tires and/or provide me with a 100% refund, and call me back. To date I have not heard back from Anika and/or anyone from Online Tires and have NOT received my refund! I have even sent Online Tires.com messages via their website and via emails with NO RESPONSE! I have given up on calling them, as I now truly believe they have my number on caller ID and will never answer my calls! They are a total scam company! How I know this to be a fact is upon my investigation into this company after my nightmare experience, I found out via postings on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website and other business review websites is that they pulled the same exact scam on multiple people and stole their money! Further, to solidify with 110% certainty they are a total scam, I recently went back onto their website to find the exact same tires that I ordered on February 3,2022 posted as being available and for sale on their website!

I have opened-up a fraud case investigation into this company with the City of Vernon California Police Department! Vernon, CA is where this hack scam company is located. In addition, I am currently working with my attorney to file a criminal lawsuit against this company for fraud! Stay tuned!

Tip for consumers:

NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY ANY TIRES FROM THIS FRAUD SCAM COMPANY!

After confirming price and availability from Online Tires salesman John Munguia, I ordered two Cooper Discoverer STT Pro tires. Upon receiving delivery confirmation for TWO tires I drove an hour to my shipping-service store to find that only one tire had been delivered. I immediately emailed Mr. Munguia, who replied, "The shipping department just informed me that the warehouse that shipped out the tires only sent 1 tire because the other one was defective. We cannot locate another one of these at this time. We can either offer you a different tire or a refund." I did not bother to ask Mr. Munguia three obvious question: Why I was not advised of this problem PRIOR to shipping only one tire? Why was I charged for two tires when only one was available? Why I would want one "different" tire? I requested a return-shipping label (in case I could not find a match), located and ordered a match from Tires Easy, and emailed Mr. Munguia to process a refund for the unshipped tire. He told me to "reply to the email that you received with return shipping labels. That is the department that will be refunding you, not me." In other words, this salesman was happy to be responsible for the sale, but not for helping when his sale went bad. I obliged and was told by "customer service" that Online Tires would process my refund AFTER I returned the TIRES they shipped! I emailed twice more (the second time including Mr. Munguia) to clarify that Online Tires only shipped one tire and that I wanted a refund for what they failed to ship, and was twice told, "In order for us to process refund (sic) we need to receive the tires that you received."

Had I read before placing my order the many complaints lodged with the Better Business Bureau against Online Tires, I would not have attempted to do business with a company that apparently employs staff willing to participate in unethical practises. Whether or not Online Tires remains in business much longer remains to be seen, but I WILL be repaid for the unshipped tire – even if I have to travel to collect the funds in person.

This review has been posted at a variety of sites in an effort to protect others from being ripped off by Onlinetires.com. Online Tires' partnering sales outlets and competitors, the Better Business Bureau, PayPal, my charge-card company, and Cooper Tires have all been offered or provided copies of my allegation-supporting correspondence.

DECEPTIVE CLAIMS, INCOMPETENT SERVICE! BUYER BEWARE!
December 5, 2019

I should have read the reviews BEFORE I went online to buy a set of tires, but I needed new shoes ASAP. So I look at a set of 4 tires late one night, price was by far cheaper than anything else, which seemed a little too good to be true, in hindsight. Shipping clearly stated it was free with estimated time of 1 - 3 days delivery. The next morning I noticed that one of the tires on my car had a bubble and realized that I needed the new ones from online tires expedited to me. I called them 3 times and no one answered the phone and I started to think it was a scam...
I finally got a hold of someone with a very thick accent and realized that OT saves $$ by outsourcing phone calls overseas, never a good sign. I relayed my issue and asked to pay to have my new tires shipped to me overnight or 2nd day. They came back and said it wasn't possible, so I repeated their own website claim of 1 - 3 business days and asked if I could expect them that soon. No, clearly they had a different website in Kuala Lumpur as they proceeded to tell me I would be waiting 5 - 7 business days. I asked why the website had that claim then, so they put me on hold again and came back with a slightly less worse offer of 3 - 5 biz days, no way to ship any quicker even with extra payment. What?! How does a business set up to ship all their orders not have any means or channel for exceptions, special orders etc? I was willing to pay the cost of the tires again just to get them shipped faster.
At that point I was getting impatient, so I just asked to have the order cancelled as I knew Tire Rack would ship for free 2nd day. They told me it was, but couldn't give me any kind of confirmation # or proof of the transaction. I became uneasy and figured I was being scammed, they would keep my $$ and stonewall all phone calls until I gave up on my $166. I insisted, the lady on the phone said she would have to call the warehouse and would call me back. I verified my phone # and waited for a call back... never came.
Sure enough, the charge went from pending to posted on my cc, so I called them and had them call OT while I was on the phone so I could get proof of who I spoke to and that they would be forced to refund my transaction. Finally we got ahold of someone there who said it could take 3 - 5 days for the charge to be posted to my account, I insisted on a name, phone # and confirmation email. In case anyone else has the same issue, his name is Jilles Almario, phone # *******473 x*******. The email says the business is in Vernon, CA, but no way are the calls going there.
Best case, this business has terrible customer service and a very inadequate or cheap shipping system with no alternate options, as well as a deceptive and disingenuous website claim on ship time. At the worst, they're scammers and need to forced into refunds by spending a disproportionate amount of time with phone calls and a third party mediator, if you're lucky. We'll see if the charge actually refunds to my card in the next week... I will never shop with them again, this was an agonizing experience. Proceed at your own risk if you choose, good luck with that.
