This is a total SCAM! He retrieves your computer's info while pretending to be creating a report! Plus, he will still charge your credit card for $18 or so, even when you choose the $1 deal!

If you consider this service it is because of time constraint and might be convenient but this is the complete opposite. You get lured with the $1 fee which give you nothing with the search then you got to print paper out, fill it out, mail it out and then pay another fee approx. $20... more effort on my part than official order

I give the 1 star because they were quick to say they would issue a refund. I was charged $1.00 and also $18.95 for bulk processing. I did 1 search which returned no information. I was okay with paying the $1.00 but not the $18.95. I cancelled immediately and noticed the charge weeks later. Read carefully and check your monthly statements.

This should be a negative ten star review, but that is not an option.

I am absolutely appalled that this company says it costs one dollar for a report, and then signs me up for a monthly subscription service. I am now online trying to get customer service to cancel everything, give me the appropriate refund, and delete my information from their system. I am so appalled. Don't fall for this like I did.

BEWARE, you have given them all they need to commit more fraudulent practices and identity theft. This company assures you that they are legitimate, but I had the information in my hand. They could not even pull up that the VIN# had a salvage title. They have your email, phone #, address, credit card information, and your chosen search engine password. After confronting one person during a chat session and an email conversation with another; my phone sends me a message from an unknown number that my credit card will be refunded in 2-3 days.

I ordered a property record online that included a $1.00 fee, but once they charged my credit card $1.00, another followed of $18.95 and sent a record from zellow.com. I called my credit card service to close my credit account immediately. This is scam. We should report this to Better Business Bureau, FBI or to whom it may concern.

I should have read the other reviews before I purchased a single car report from these crooks. My credit card was billed for $18.95 and there is no where on their site where I can cancel the service or change the credit card information. I had to cancel that card so they wouldn't charge me next month.

Like other reviewers, I thought that I was paying $1 for a single VIN report and that is all I needed. The report was fine but I was surprised to see my CC being charged $18.95 a month thereafter. Took me a few months to discover it, so, I basically have paid $57 for one report. I have called to cancel and will wait to see if they quit charging. Notably, they did not apologize nor offer to give me my money back. I don't know how many people are getting scammed this way, nor do I know how the ownership can sleep at night with this scam.

I signed up for this intending to get one month of reports for 18.95, Now I see that I have been getting charged 18.95 per month for the last 5 months. Each month the charge is shown as coming from a different company: Autohistorychecks.com, Autohistoryusa.com, OnlineCarReport.com, Cardatausa.com, Cardataonline.com. Apparently they are trying to hide that it is a repeating charge from the same company. Then I go the website, and find there is no way to close my account or stop the charges. SCAM!

I have never had such a hard time getting information from a Site like I did with this one. Very misleading, rewording things to try and confuse the consumer, no receipt sent for what they charged my card. I really feel like they are making me run through circles.

DON'T DO IT. They lure you in with a $1 access fee that is "required" to keep their database accurate. You pay the $1 and run a report. The next day, check your bank account. They take $18.95 for their "monthly" membership. What? That was not disclosed. And if it was... where? This is a COMPLETE RIP OFF.

Very deceptive ad, saying the report was only $1.00 AND then finding the report is an additional $18.95 monthly. I protested signing up for a year, which was cancelled, but the $18.95 sticks

They tell you that you can get a car report for $1. They don't tell you that they sign you up for a $20/month subscription. Do not deal with these scammers. They are dishonest and the reports are not thorough at all.

Paid with CC # 1 = said declined although that was untrue. Entered CC#2 = declined at first, then accepted. Report was generated. Contained NO individual information on the VIN number I submitted. Just general base information on the car which I already had. Said there was no prior title or lien information which was completely untrue. They kept promising the fix the report and send it by email. Never received. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Went to CarHistoryCalifornia.us.org. They promised a decent carfax type report of liens miles and ownership plus accident history for $1.00. I acted as a guest not a membership. To get my report they required my street address first of all and then set up a box with my chosen email and a box for password. Huh? I got an agent who gave me a password. The report when I linked shown none of the information promised. I then found this site and learned that I had been signed up for recurring charges of $18.95 monthly. To add to this scam when I finally found their terms page buried in one of the first pages and under a different name than Carhistory the terms stated that they would also share my information with marketing affiliates. TOTAL SCAM site. In their terms they claim they inform throughout the site the access fees. FALSE. I contacted my card, the card people called the company and stayed on the phone while I told them off and had the fees refunded and the ongoing cancelled. My opinion is that it is actually fraud on their part. Run from all sites you see like this. They will take your money and give you little or nothing of value. DO NOT USE Also personally suspect any positive reviews here on that site are not real. There are ways to get around owner prohibitions.

They say they will provide you with a comprehensive driving report on someone for $1. This is a LIE. After paying the $1 they give you a very basic criminal history of what seems to be only felonies... absolutely nothing on a driving report. EVEN WORSE, they don't ask enough information about who you are searching for before you pay the $1. As soon as you pay, they give you 50 results (none of them being the correct person) and don't give you a way to search again. Upon contacting customer service they tell me I can print out something, mail it to the DMV with a fee, send the company both receipts and wait 2 weeks for my refund. I told them this was even more ridiculous and that their company was a scam, they then immediately refunded my credit card (they would not have done this if I did not complain as much as I did). This company survives on people unwittingly paying $1 and then not wanting to go through the two week effort of claiming their refund. DO NOT USE THIS SITE

I ordered a report and was told it cost $1.00. I contacted on line report access and was told I agreed to the $18.95, which I did not. I think the $1.00 charge was only to see if the card account was valid so when the payment was processed I was charged $18.95 and not $1.00. I had to contact them on live chat because there is no phone or address, as would be expected in a scam. I was told they closed my account and removed the remaining charges of $18.95, but the original $18.95 apparently isn't being credited. I am going to pursue this farther. It is more the principal than the money. However, stealing $18.95 from every consumer requesting a report still adds up to big money.
