I purchased two velvet slipper chairs and and then read the reviews so I was concerned. However, my expectations were exceeded and my experience was very positive. I ordered the chairs, received updates and good communication on the delivery window, and the order came a few days before it was expected. The items were very well packed to protect them from damage. The chairs were in good shape, they were made in the USA and they they are of fine quality for the price I paid. They are exactly as described and they meet my expectations. So I would say my experience is positive and I would. Buy from then again.
I purchased a rug that didn't look great in the space. I was shocked that they charge a 15 % of purchase fee as well as a non refundable shipping charge to return the item. Won't order from them again. Buyer beware esp with home goods as you want to see it in the space to be sure. At this return price - not worth purchasing from this company. Too many other sites that are much more purchase and return friendly.
We bought a couch in September, and it arrived in late November. After ~2 months, the main cushion of the couch began to pill. My wife reached out to the company via their website, and we heard no response. I then called and was told they only do returns for 30 days. I had no intent on returning the couch; we actually like the couch beside the pilling; however, we would like to be sent a new cushion, as 2 months for a couch to pill suggests poor fabric quality. This does not seem like a possibility, and one customer service does not want to entertain. We wish they would take the quality of their product a bit more seriously, as the couch is very comfortable, but their inability to make sure their products are of top quality is disheartening.
I ordered a large framed palm tree photo (nearly $300). It arrived as scheduled and was packaged great. The photo was wrinkled. I called the company and they asked that I take pictures to show the damage and they responded no refunds because it was made to order.

I have been a customer of One Kings Lane for years and have purchased many items. Overall, I have always been pleased with them. The quality has been very good and I've had no problems with shipping or anything else. Where I do have a BIG problem is with their promotional emails. For instance, they say 20% off sitewide, but when you go to order something, it is excluded from the promotion. In this particular instance, I waited for a sale on the item I was interested in, and eventually got an email that the BRAND of lighting I was looking for was 20% off. Again, when trying to order, I was told that only certain items applied. It feels like false advertising and dishonest and has wasted my time. I hope they can improve this issue and clarify their wording, or I will be forced to shop elsewhere.

Disappointed in the policy to not adjust a price on an item I ordered that has gone on sale. I still have not received my original item (4 week estimated delivery time) and Customer Service will not adjust the price to reflect the new sale price. Come on guys...you also charged me a ridiculous shipping charge. Not as fun to shop with you like it used to be. Why don't you value your customers anymore?

It's nice that they have a curated selections of items, but it does not justify prices that are 50-60% higher than that of their competitors. They do not show the actual brand names of the products to hide this fact. Do yourself a favor and search for the image of the products on Google so you can buy the items at a much lower price elsewhere.

Tried uses promo codes they continuously pop up on site. Tried but too, but wouldn't work. Called customer service, no help. We wouldn't let me cancel. Tried writing & calling many times, no response. They pul you in with deep discount banners, but won't let you apply them. Dishonest.

Purchased a bamboo cheese board and after one year of very light use it split apart. Although expensive, the board was poorly made. One Kings Lane would not accept responsibility for the product. I will not do business with them again.
A few days after posting this review Kings Lane offered a full refund. I was pleasantly surprised. Their effort has changed my opinion about their willingness to take responsibility.

I ordered two faux flower arrangements from One King's Lane. They were supposedly "half-price" marked down from $90 to $45 each. I expected a much more realistic and better quality product than the typical artificial flowers you can buy at Wal-Mart or craft stores. Unfortunately, the quality is no better than flowers you can buy anywhere for $5. Additionally, one bouquet started to fall apart when I began moving the stems to fluff up the arrangement a little. I would be returning these items, but they are "final sale". What a scam!

I have ordered a few small items like glassware and dishware and had good luck with the quality and delivery time. But, just ordered a Moroccan style punched tin candle lantern new from a vendor on EBay. I paid $26. The item is new from a retail vendor, not a reseller. The same item showed up on One Kings Lane today for $145. That's ridiculous markup!

I don't have an axe to grind and don't typically write reviews. But I had two customer service experiences that lead me to believe this company is not ready for prime time retail. They spend their effort in looking good and having slick shots, It is so enticing that I just bought a rug from them against my better judgement. But as others have said, buyer beware on 2 things: 1. Pricing- the great deal is the exception vs the rule, 2. Customer service is laughable for a company that tries to have an online presence, and 3. Descriptions are vague and delivery dates aren't set in stone. When you have online benchmarks like Amazon and Land's End online, you can't play with the big boys with haphazard service. I have bought several things over the last several years and rarely is it great quality without a hitch. It has happened, so hope springs eternal. Two examples: I bought a green chair for my green scheme living room. The chair arrived but was red fabric instead. They had no idea because it came from China. It took weeks to figure out what to do. I was happy to send it back, but they wanted me to take it to a shipper and pay for their mistake. Also, I bought an earring necklace set. I got the earrings, but the necklace was hilariously mismatched and looked like some bizzare rapper necklace. They seemed baffled to understand why I wanted the necklace as it was a set. Another set of calls,,,,,
So you can cherry pick items, but have low expectations and they might be exceeded.

I have ordered many times from OKL, but finally realized its pricing and advertising methods. If you notice they offer sets of things, flatware for example in sets of 5 or 10 but not 6 or 12. Granted vintage items may not always be in complete sets, it's expected. However, you'll find the same item in another set of 7 or 5 on another screen location, oftentimes on the same sale campaign. The problem is they've overpriced both sets so much that you pay many times over the price of the items. Sometimes they have the same product twice on the same sale campaign but with two different prices, but both are well overpriced.
I have examples in my home of items I've purchased over the years and some have been advertised on OKL. Two examples, I bought some bamboo trays back in the 80's at a chain retailer for about $1.99 each. OKL had the same trays at a set of four at upwards of $75.00 as "vintage". Also I have candlesticks I purchased at local department store back in the 70's. They are steel and brass. They costs about $10 each. Again, OKL advertised them as "vintage" at a price of about $100 for two. Just be careful on prices, they are way out whack oftentimes. Do comparison shopping online, locally or look in your own closet and home for similar things. I have purchased many things from OKL and later realized that they were way, way overpriced even most of the products were very good.

Although i was happy to have a site where so many tasteful things can be viewed, upon other searching i found the same products for sometimes less than half the money! On a few occasions i saw items that i had seen in nice boutiques here in L. A. that were almost tripple the cost! For example... i saw a fun "french" wire vase that was sold at one of our most beloved garden shops for 90$... pricy but still ok if u really loved it. But one kings lane had it for over 200$! We're talking about chinese twisted junk wire here, folks! I still shop with them but laugh at most of the prices...
I love browsing this site, but only just recently went to purchase a couple of items. And the reason I didn't go through with the purchase is that I got to PayPal when I noticed a shipping charge that more than doubled the price of my order and was MULTIPLE times as expensive as the shipping charges they quote on their site. No explanation was included. The added shipping cost was a scam for what I was buying. The items I was looking at I was able to find on Amazon or the product company's website directly for less with shipping than OKL was charging me. After reading these reviews, I will only ever use this as a window shopping website, and search out any specific items elsewhere to purchase.

I've done a lot of furniture shopping in the last couple of years. Comparatively OKL has nice, modern products and decent prices (for what you're buying). My experience with customer service was always top notch.
Unfortunately I had too many interactions with their customer service because almost everything I bought was damaged or did not match the description in the listing. After receiving SO many damaged items I suspect that they are in fact selling "seconds", items that could not be sold in retail. Fortunately they were always very accommodating with refunds for anything I had issues with, even though they clearly state all sales are final. They were never able to replace. I will not use this company anymore because if I take the time to research and buy something I actually WANT that item. It's a waste of my time and energy, even with the refunds.

I do not recommend OKL. Gilt's Home products are similar and more reliable.

I have currently been on hold trying to reach customer service for over 24 minutes and counting. It should not be this difficult to get in contact with someone over an incorrect order, especially when they can only gaurantee to change your order if you contact customer service within 15 minutes... This is my second day of trying. I gave up last night because of the hold-time.

Will not order jewelry from this site again. I ordered a druzy necklace as a gift for my daughter. I realize that this is a natural stone but, necklace that was pictured was significantly different in color from what I received. Not returnable! My experience is if an item is NOT returnable there is a reason. I won't forget this $70 leason.

I think people need to buy items from One Kings Lane and Joss & Main and other similar sites with extreme caution.
You generally have no clue as to the brand of furniture or kitchenware or other items you are buying which is a red flag. What if you think you are buying something with the same quality as a high quality brand like Stickley but it is made in China?
Also I find it VERY suspicious what they list as the "retail" price that is crossed out to make it look like you are getting a bargain. What is the basis for this retail price? If it is inflated they are misleading consumers and could face legal action
I ordered recently a sofa and it was delivered on time but the color of the fabric was so faded that it seems like the sofa was standing in the sun for some time. There were also stripes within the fabric and the color was different from the color which this company advertised on their website's photo. Also the fabric itself which is linen must be the cheapest one available, very rough. I'm very disappointed. That was my first purchase and most likely the last one. Before delivery, I got automated phone calls from the company four days in a row telling me about delivery on each of those days, which never happened. The first call informed me of delivery on the date of call in a window between 1PM-6PM. The automated call was made at 5:50PM. Another call gave a window of 1PM- ******* (No Joke). The final call gave a military time between 1800 and 1 which would equate to 6PM in the evening and 1 o'clock in the morning.
Disappointed in their shipping it took over four weeks for a wreath to be delivered... it was intended for a funeral which is now past 4 weeks

Ordered one item over the 4th of July weekend. I am under the understanding that they only offer limited items at limited times. So why then will my item purchased not ship until Aug 3rd? This seems really a long time. Very disappointed and that info was not given until I received the confirmation email.
3 weeks later and my order is still " pending shipment", Just be honest and say its back ordered when the order is placed!
I ordered what I thought was a lovely, multi-colored Chagall lithograph and received a different one of lesser quality. I called OKL's customer service and was asked to send a picture, which I did. I expressed concern that there was only one copy left of the one I had originally ordered and asked if I would, indeed, be able to get the lithograph I ordered. It has been more than 48 hours since I spoke with the first customer service rep AND the lithograph is marked as SOLD OUT online. The status of my complaint remained a mystery beyond the 48 hour period. I would like to acknowledge though that when dealing with OKL's customer service they are uniformly courteous, apologetic and attempt to be as responsive as they can. I was told that they need to give their vendors 5-7 days to determine what happened. I didn't find this a satisfactory time window, especially since the item was marked SOLD OUT. I was given the option of a return/refund instead, which I took. Although I wasn't happy with the time windows, I do feel that OKL's customer service is stellar because they don't question or hassle you when you have a problem. I later learned that the vendor had sent the wrong packages out. My story does have a happy ending though. I did more research on this print and found it available on a number of other sites for almost $80 less framed and so I was able to buy it after all and for less money! The moral of the story is when you see something on OKL that seems exclusive and special, especially the art, do your research first! I dodged a bit of a financial bullet. :)

I have been shopping One Kings Lane for some time and what I have found is that they really jack up the "retail" price to make their price look like a much bigger discount than what it is. They really burned me on a book that they priced at $45 from a $70 retail and when I got the book it had a $35 retail price on the inside cover from the publisher. They currently have Bunny Williams featured and once again they have jacked up the prices to make you think you are getting a good deal and you are not. I went to the Bunny Williams website and some I the items are the same price as OKL. So I only allow someone to burn me once and now I always go to the vendor website or Amazon for books, for example, and check before I buy on OKL. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
One Kings Lane appears to have great deals but their items are defective. And, sadly, all online purchases are "final sale only".

I found an amazing deal on Tourance blankets. When they arrived, the labels were marked with a big black "D" indicating defective. Every time they are washed they either shrink or contort (and will no longer be useable).
I eventually ordered an upholstered ottoman that is strictly for looks, never touched. The buttons were not sewn on, but glued. After 3 months, the "folds" in the fabric that give the tufted look is cut and the backing is coming out.
The ottoman was ordered with regular shipping. But when my order was "shipping confirmed", "white glove shipping" of $60 was required. I contacted One Kings Lane and explained that it was not needed since the ottoman would be 3 feet from my front door and there are no steps to my house. One Kings Lane still required me to pay the extra shipping charge. The total shipping: $120.
