A couple of years ago I bought several domains, they were a little more expensive than the competition, but the renewal with one.com cost a fortune. They trick you into accepting automatic renewal, read the fine print. Will send you a letter after the renewal date and threaten you with consequences if you don't pay. They did the same to my friend recently. I warned her to find a different domain provider, but she didn't listen back then, and now she is sorry.

Used their service for all of… one day maybe, totally forgot about it. Then the auto renew comes, and jeeez. Now they want £400 for a service I am never going to use after benefiting from my original subscription that I never used. Now they sending debt collectors to collect money for a service I'll NEVER USE! Avoid like the plague. I feel they'd come for your house if you ended up dying in the street after subscribing.

They keep raising the prices (more than they should) and giving less and less service for free. I have bought a package over 10 years ago. Only for £12 a year with extra services included. (photo/video gallery, online storage, website builder, blog, etc) During the years price went over £120 and they took away all the included services. Now if I wanted to have them all again, it would cost over £200 a year. Very amateur team, unreliable domain, and very unprofessional IT tech and customer support. Avoid it!

My experience with one.com has been quite disappointing. Despite their initial appeal, consistent issues have left me frustrated. Never use a company that doesn't have a customer service phone number - one.com hides behind email support which is highly frustrating when you need to get anything done - refused to transfer a domain for my client who's website has now been offline for more than a month - was no1 page 1 google - now lost in the ether probably forever as cant get a response from them!

I bought a domain name for aprox 6$ and got an order confirmation of the purchase. What I did not do was clicking on one of the links in the footer which leads to a document where it says that I do not just purchase a domain name but also their services which renews 30 days prior to the excitation date.

They got some extra money from me, but will never get my business again.

Tip for consumers:
If you still want to use their services be sure to click one of the links in the footer of the order konfirmation email, so that you can see what you really are purchasing.

Terrible company. They are allowing fraudsters to buy domains and use them to con people out of large sums of money. When this is reported to them, they do absolutely nothing at all to invrstigate, block the domain and prevent further fraud. Of course, I can't call them discuss the matter, because theyre another awful company who dont own a telephone, so have had to report it to the police instead.

.. I spoke a few times with them. I moved away from them. I'm still receiving threats by post saying if I don't pay I'll incur on extra charges. Avoid! They're service and support is not that good anyway

If you lose access to your account, good luck. I'm being charged £50 for a domain I haven't used, and was only made aware by post, which arrived after it was too late. They don't want anything to do with me now, so I'll just have to suck it up and pay. Awful service! Funny how cheap hosting doesn't last

Horrible scammer company. They ask for domain verification and despite sending in all requested document they just suspend your website even though you pay hundreds of dollars to them for hosting. Avoid this company at all cost!

NEVER be tempted to use this company, they are little more than scam merchants.
You will be charged for services you have never requested and find it impossible to get them to close any account. Every hoop they can possibly apply to try and stop you leaving and even then you will receive demands for money from some Irish based claims company you cannot contact!

I did not pay the sum and the put my website offline even if it was not expired yet.
Never never use this company! Keep distance from one.com!

NOt only did they raise the price in a rocketing temp! The make simle things as social linkt, videos etc. suddenly be a payed service! Some of my sites have had dead link even without I knew it! This is scheating, the also make it hard to understand when you want to stop. For ex. A domain you no no longer need. Never again, this bacame a disaster!

I moved to Hostinger, and will never return to one.com

Honestly, creating a site with one.com is ok as long as you are looking for a simple showcase that you won't update.
I created a shop. It doesn't work. The technical department confirms that there is indeed a problem, that they are working on it and that I will have news later in the day.
They told me this three days in a row.
I closed the shop.
one.com is fine for a showcase site. If you want something else, it's not up to scratch.
That being said, the people in the technical department are very nice and you can feel that they are used to apologising.

This company has put in automatication of their annual subscription for a domain. Even if you have never used it, they will keep charging you every year. Their competions do not have this insane policy.

So now I have to pay for a domain I never use plus interests... A VERY BAD COMPANY. Will never use their services again, and will warn people to never use them.

You will get drawn in on a low price.
As soon as your site is build, the problems start out of the blue.
When you try to repair, they start with more money.
Soon you will end up paying thousands, just to encounter the next problem.
This is the oldest scamming trick in the world!

It's been 3 years now that I have cancelled some URL's that I bought there and they keep asking money through a recovering office, this is harassment and pure non sense cause they answered me that the account has been properly cancelled 3 years ago!

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with One.com, and I must say that I am extremely disappointed with their unprofessional and inconsiderate staff. The level of rudeness displayed by their team members was beyond belief, leaving me feeling frustrated and disheartened.

The most useless customer support team. I have worked with almost all the major WP host providers for the past 15 years, but One.com is the worst one in terms of both product and customer support. My client purchased the domain and host from them. For a simple thing like pointing a domain to your website, you have to do the migration. They advertise their one-click migration feature that could not complete the migration process and deleted the website that we spend money to create. The customer service has no idea what they are talking about. We chat with them four times and no help at all. Based on their wrong advice we lost a lot of our time and money. When they want to get rid of you, they send you a link and ask you to follow the link. That's it.

Roughly four months ago, I was forced to switch to One.com because my original provider (Simple Site) had either merged with One or shut down all togther. My original format (almost) was transferred to One and it hasn't been the same since.
Since then I have struggled with trying to add things to my webpage because the web building interface is clumsy and confusing as can be. On occasion, my web page will freeze which prevents the visitor from accessing what I offer via drop down menus that won't respond. Generally, when I ask for help, I'll get an email about 48 to 72 hours after I post it. Fortunately, I don't depend on the revenue generated by we b page but if I was, I'd be selling pencils on the corner to make up for my losses. RUN, don't stop, away from this abortion of a web "service" provider. You've been warned!

Now this review is born from frustration. I actually have been with one.com with three different websites for over a decade... but the prices keep rising and One.Com is now expensive and to be frank: Not very flexible. I wanted to change.

Leaving One.Com is really difficult. The bureaucratic hurdles, the unwillingness to be supportive... and I have never met a company that makes it so hard to simply change the domain name to another registrar as One.Com. They want to see everything, including your ID, and will deny the transfer on the weirdest charges.

They have my ID, my company register experpt and my home address. They still want me to print out an application form, sign it and send it off - to be replied to very slowly, with a denial, because the eMail address in the registry form isn't.co.uk, but.uk.

To be clear: They have my ID at this point. Phone number. Address. Company registry. Everything. But the eMail address has a wrong ending, and they want me to fill the whole paperwork again, send it again and wait another day for approval. For switching a domain to another registrar, a process that works effortless and without problems with any other company on the planet.

So, bottom line: Pricy. Bureaucratic. Unhelpful. Avoid.

SCAM COMPANY! SCAM SCAM SCAM ALERTT!THEY DIDNT GIVE ME A DOMAIN, TOOK MY MONEY, once again REMOVED my domain they said is already owned after I paid, then the following month after cancelling my orders took over £100 from my account! They are saying I didn't cancel the account, o never had anything from th email correspondence shows this and they emailed saying you should have cancelled on your account, "stay safe!" Like it's a joke! WHAT?! I demand my money back from these THIEVING SCAMMERS. I will not stop until I do.

If one wishes to cancell one's subscription, they make it very, very dificult. Human contact is almost imposible. The one email contact with a live human was rude and condencending. I am now going to be billed for an account that I no longer want
