Joe, Thank you so much for your expertise in helping me with the issue on my computer. By going with Mazilla, it has made it a lot easier to manage my e-mails. The problems I had with the other Techs could have been handled a lot easier if they would have mentioned to get rid of Outlook and just deal with Mazilla. You brought that to my attention, therefore making me realize that it was better to get rid of Outlook all together. Thanks again for you help. Frank Thomas

I filed a dispute for no service with my credit card company. Their process is not to contact the vendor but to contact the bank that vendor used. Two months are allowed for the vendor's bank's response. No reply was received so my entire purchase was refunded. In the interim I had contacted another tech company and was told that Omni had gone out of business.

Total SCAM! Just wanted help resetting passwords and verification/security info on an old Hotmail account with forgotten and outdated info. Should be simple. Tech took over my PC, ran a scan and tried to charge me $150 to fix those errors before proceeding. That scan has NOTHING to do with my hotmail settings. Asked for a supervisor and he offered to cut it in half - $75 for the same. This is a SCAM. Shame on Microsoft for forcing us to use this service to fix simpe issues.

In June of 2013, I contacted Omni to fix my laptop, which they did however afterwards when they wanted to renew the next year, I refused. As of today May 22nd, I have recieved at less twenty phone calls, three to four of the most recent I asked to talk to a supervison and asked to be removed from their list, they just keep calling. I am now going to see if I can take legal actions against them.

We do not call anyone outbound, unless they are an existing customer and we are trying to reconnect their computer, or they are an existing customer that has a plan that is expiring, which we call once, or twice if they do not answer.

A technician, using diagnostic software can when they have been permitted remote access to the computer, but not someone over the phone.

I should have done my reviews before I allowed them to take control of my computer. I simply requested the technician to empty my trash bin on MacBook Pro. What he/she did was completely deleted every file that was on my desktop, messed up my iPhoto, iMovie etc. When I asked them to recover my files, they spent several hours going back and forth through my folders. After observing that no progress was been made I simply disconnected. COMPLETELY UNSATISFIED with their service.

My browser was constantly being hijacked. Eventually it froze with a flashing pop up "from google" saying it had a virus and to call omnitech. I called. They told me that I had a polymorphic virus disguised as Windows and hackers had access to all my private information so severe that I could use another computer, log into anything and that computer would remember all my personal info, as well as download a virus. Would cost me over $300 for the fix(lie). I paid and gave them access. They downloaded a pop-up blocker, and several things that made my Antivirus software flip out, which they then disabled. Constant computer problems, 3 months in I found out what a polymorphic virus(they lied), found out they could not diagnose that over the phone(lied), found out they had a one time fix fee for $90, (lied). Demanded a refund because they lied to me to get my business, we settled on refund for the service I hadn't received yet. They refunded my money. Sold the computer to a friend, watched them format it completely. 2 years later I'm STILL getting calls 2-3X a week from omnitech, omnitech claiming to be Google, omnitech claiming to be Microsoft. And people who won't tell me who they are. All from different numbers, including one guy who said I was a $#*!ing liar and hung up on me because I told him the person I sold it to formatted it. For the first year I just repeatedly told them I was no longer a customer, was disgruntled and to please stop calling. The harassment and sudden aggression of these people has got so bad Now I can't answer my phone at all. I screen every call I have, and yes, they've even hijacked numbers and called me from numbers I know.

Thought I was contacting Microsoft but got directed to Omnitech, was pressured into purchasing their support. After spending over 8 hours online in 3 sessions with their tech support people being transferred to various levels of support right up to supervisor my issue has never been resolved even though they guaranteed it would be. I have no intention of contacting them for any further support regarding my issue even though it hasn't been resolved, it's just a waste of time in my opinion. Everyone should be aware of this service.

Directed? No organization including Microsoft directs anybody to us. The customer came to us. Anyone wishing to go to Microsoft for support, merely needs to go to www.support.microsoft.com. When someone contacts us, we always clearly identify ourselves. Our opening chat statement itself confirmed that we are not Microsoft or some other Tech Support company. We are OmniTech Support, an independent global Tech Support organization which has been running successfully with pride and passion more than 12 years. Our technicians are trained and certified to work on all e-mail issues in addition to working on other software, networking, setup, registry and virus issues.

On May 28,2014 Mr. Wayne King Contacted us for help with regards to issue “Receiving Spam Emails and need to remove viruses and infections in the computer” accordingly we connected her to a technician to diagnose any issues on her computer. To diagnose the cause of any issue, we access the customer’s computer, only with the customer’s permission, using a well-known and trusted remote 3rd-party access tool called “LogMeIn”.

Our process is very transparent. The customer can watch and control every movement of our technician and, can terminate the remote control by a single click. Once customer revokes the remote access, technicians cannot re-establish the connection by their own without customer’s assistance, our technician checked her computer and diagnosed the issue. We offered him out One Time Fix plan for single issue and where customer can get back to us with the same issue within 30 days of sign up. The customer voluntarily agreed and signed up with us paying $149.99.

Accordingly, our technician performed the required resolutions and fixed the issue for him. Then, Mr. King confirmed to us in the chat that the issue is fixed. If he is maintaining that the issue was unfixed, even though he had c confirmed that it was, he is welcome to come back to us, so we can determine if it is the same issue. If it is, we will fix it. However, since his initial issue included viruses, his computer may have been infected subsequently to our removing his initial viruses.

Wayne King: ok, will give it a go see how it is working. Thanks
Tech 81: Okay, Wayne. Please stay online for a moment to take the confirmation.
Wayne King: ok
Tech 81: Kindly confirm if the issues with receiving the spam emails and removal of infections form the Computer have been resolved. Please answer with a Yes or a No.
Wayne King: yes
Tech 81: Thank you for the confirmation, Wayne.
Tech 81: May I go ahead and end the session now?
Wayne King: yes
Tech 81: Thank you for the permission.
Tech 81: It was a pleasure assisting you today.
Tech 81: Please feel free to contact us for further assistance.
Tech 81: Thank you for contacting OmniTech Support.
Tech 81: Have a great time ahead.

We regret that our service did not satisfy Mr. King even after we had provided hours of quality services in resolving his several issues.

I was looking for some help from Microsoft and got shunted to Omnitech instead. What a joke! For hours, they went through the same steps I had already taken. They kept taking control of the computer away from me, so I finally had to shut it down. I count myself lucky that I was only taken for $56.00. They tried to make me sign up for $250.00 but I put a stop to that. Don't go near them!

I got a pop up saying to contact them for an infection. I paid them 220.00 to get rid of this.my computer continued to run slow and had to call back several times. After 6 months they called me advising that my computer had been hacked. They wanted to sell me a anti-hack program. Never let them access your computer. I had to contact Microsoft to get rid of their spyware.

SCAM! Same story as everyone else. I went to them for a minor problem and they claimed to be Microsoft. They took control of my computer, ran a "virus" scan, found 300 viruses and said it would be $250 to fix it. When I tried to close their site, they took control of my mouse so I cut the power and got rid of those bastards.

First and foremost, we never claim to be Microsoft nor we did ever. Our company name is very prominent on the website, that when we greet our customers we use our name, our name is on the diagnosis, our name is on the chat window. We are an independent Technical support company and we provide support for various software issues on computers running a Microsoft operating system with the help of our experienced technicians. As an initial troubleshooting step, our technician runs a free diagnosis on the customer’s computer to uncover the root of the problem. Some issues are obvious, but in others, the diagnosis may uncover registry errors or malicious software. Later our technician might convey this person about the scanned results and possible errors on the computer with the possible effect of those errors. Our process is very transparent and the customer can watch every steps performed by our technician. We record each remote session. We can prove that nothing was done to his computer and his allegation of our planting a virus is simply not true.

In this instance, the complainer hasn’t revealed any details with which we can use to determine if this person is actually our customer in the first place. We invite this person to provide some more details like, date of contacting us, the customer ID he was given, or his email address, so that we can investigate further into this particular case. At this situation we are unable to comment anything. We provide quality, affordable technical support, and always try to provide the best services to our customers.

In this digital world, it is inevitable that organizations that provide products or services will get complaints. OmniTech Support has also had a few unhappy customers, but that number is a tiny fraction in proportion to the tens of thousands of our satisfied customers. We have resolved or refuted 100% of any complaints against us, real or bogus. Out of courtesy, many organizations provide a common platform, such as online complaint forums or complaint blogs to shed light on the Service Providers and their impact on customers. Among these complaints, a few might have some merit due to a misunderstanding of the services rendered and, unfortunately, others are biased, planted by a competitor, or simply not reasonable to an informed person. The Sitejabber is one of those respected organizations and we sincerely appreciate their efforts to convey to companies any upset customer’s complaints and feedback.

I could not be less pleased with your service to the point that I think you are pulling a scam. My PC barely works, refuses to respond and is plagued with pop-ups. I cannot get it to scroll; and, the day after you performed your alleged cleansing, Microsoft did a scan and found over 5000-things wrong with it., Unfortunately, I could not afford to hire them. I was just asking them to remove a pop-up bearing their name; but, discovered that it was just another infection. Your service has been a joke. Thank you for your attention.

Respectfully,

Jeremy D. Wilson

Jeremy D. Wilson contacted us on August 11,2014 with an issue: “Unable to print the documents” and agreed to pay $119.99 through e-check on September 09,2014. Our technician worked on the issue and fixed it. The customer checked and confirmed the issue resolution. If the same issue reappears later, we would fix it as part of the original agreement. However, we are not responsible for any subsequent issues that are related to malware or Registry issues that occurred after visiting certain sites or downloading fake “updates” to Java or other drivers when urged to do so by malicious pop-ups.
When we tried to charge the customer $119.99 as he contractually agreed to pay via an eCheck, the payment could not be not processed. Possibly his account information was incorrect or his account was closed. We tried to call him but couldn’t reach him and he never returned our voicemails. We have proof of our calling attempts. He never contacted us after the issue resolution. If the initial issue had re-occurred, we would have fixed it again. We fix the issue via remote access, which is granted to us one-time by the customer. The respected, third party, LogMeIn remote access applet can be deleted in a few seconds via “Delete Program” on the Windows Control Panel.

In summary, he paid us nothing and got his issue fixed for free! When we tried to reach him about the failure of payment, he never responded us. Now he is claiming that claimed that he experienced other issues after we worked on his computer and Microsoft found several issues. Maybe they did, but we didn’t cause them. We have a complete recording of his remote session with our technician where we record every keystroke and, therefore, we can prove that nothing wrong was done to his computer. Furthermore, there was no possibility of us causing any other issues to his computer because of the troubleshooting steps we performed.
We always encourage our customers to come back to us if any issue reoccurs and we would be happy to fix it. Some computer issues tend to reoccur. He could have come back to us saying that we allegedly messed-up her computer but he never did. We are not in a position to comment anything about his computer. Let it be a new computer or old one, if it connects to Internet, there are chances of viruses infecting your computer; because visiting any unwanted/suspicious websites may download malicious software of which you are unaware. His computer was not covered under our half-yearly or yearly service plan where we provide unlimited technical assistance, plus full version of antivirus to protect customer’s computer. We provide quality, affordable technical support, and always try to provide the best services to our customers.

This is a fraudulent company--they are a scam. I have a story to tell but to make it short--do not pay them anything; they cannot help you. They do not know what they are doing and use the information you give them to call you back, take control of your computer and use the information. I was scammed over $3,000 on my credit cards once they got my information. DO NOT USE THEM. I'm going to report them to my district attorney as soon as I close out this report. They keep calling me and use an unavailable number so they cannot be reported.

I agree with the other reviews. This company is a SCAM. I bought my son a new computer, tried to load word and somehow got directed via Microsoft to them. I paid $300 for them to allegedly fix my son's computer when NOTHING was wrong except for Omintech Support taking me to the cleaners. Now I cannot get them to stop calling me. Do no buy any service from them.

Only gave 1 star cause there's not a negative. Spent 9 hours on the phone with them, only to find out the next am my computer wouldn't go online, called them spent 2 more hours trying to understand the tech, finally gave up still not couldn't get connected, worked on it myself, found where a tech had clicked a box that was blocking my internet connection, computer runs MUCH slower now, sooo glad I didn't purchase the $520.00 package that the tech kept trying to get me to purchase. Needlless to say... VERY DISSATISFIED...

We regret that our service didn’t work out for Ms. April Baker. We, at OmniTech Support, first carefully investigate the issue details and always respond with the outcome of that investigation thoroughly carried out by our process audit team. We take the customers’ complaint (valid and legitimate one) as a valuable feedback regarding our services and try to utilize those in our process to serve our customer better.

Ms. April Baker contacted us on June 20,2014 with an issue “Fake call” and signed up with us for One Time Fix by paying $149.99. The issue was Resolved & Confirmed.

Tech 261: You contacted us with issue with removing errors and infections from your computer and we have resolved the issue. Kindly confirm if the issue has been resolved. Please answer with a Yes or a No.
April Baker: yes
Tech 261: Thank you for the confirmation.
Tech 261: We have now cleaned the infections in your computer and have repaired the corrupted files. However, please understand that your contact details are already with someone and they might continue to call you. However, henceforth for any issue that you might encounter, you can immediately get in touch with us.
Tech 261: May I go ahead and end the session now?
April Baker: yes, thank you
Tech 261: It was my pleasure to assist you with.

The duration of issue resolution depends on the complexity of the issue and the Stability of the Internet connection. In her case her Internet connection was not stable. That’s one reason why so much time was taken. The connectivity issue was not with her computer, it was with her Internet connection. We cannot chat with customers or have remote access without a stable Internet connection on the customer’s end.

On June Ms. April Baker contacted us again for a different issue “Internet is not working”, but the issue was not fixed as there was no Internet Connection from her end. We followed up but she never get back to us.

In spite of spending a great deal of time on her issues, we have refunded the full amount, even though we fixed the issues. We have addressed Ms. April Baker’s concerns and hope he is satisfied with our response and the full refund.

Our process is very transparent and our policy & price are unmatchable by others. We always want our valuable customers to be fully delighted with the service and value they get from us.

We are a BBB Accredited business since 07/11/2006. If a business has been accredited by the BBB with A+, it means BBB has determined that the business meets accreditation standards which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. That we always do..

SCAM, SCAM. Loaded Windows 8.1 and could not populate the password field. Got on line to see if this was a problem. Clicked on what I thought was a Microsoft web site. Got redirected to this scam. They charged me $249.99. Should have suspected a scam at that time. They checked my computer and said I had all kinds of problems. The bottom line was a conflict between my security program and Windows. I'm a dumb $#*!.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! I could not get into my email. After being online with one of the techs for about 20 mins, I asked about the fee. Yes, I should have asked right off, then again they should have also let me know up front. They wanted $250 to fix my problem they said was caused by being hacked. The next day I called the cable company and now have email. I WAS NOT HACKED! This is a scam...

I was having trouble logging into my User account with my password after an upgrade to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8. OmniTech was in the search results when I tried to look for help online and I thought they had expertise with Microsoft products. After chatting with an OmniTech screener person, I was hooked up with one of their techs, who ran an "OmniTech Support PC Diagnosis" program on my laptop. My PC Check came out as "poor" (I took a screen shot of this) and the tech informed me in great detail that my Windows operating system was corrupted by many "polymorphic" viruses. I asked how that could be when I had Norton Security installed and he informed me that these viruses aren't detectable by regular antiviral programs. Fortunately, before he could convince me of what he had to do to fix my system, our chat somehow got disconnected. OmniTech then left a phone message requesting that I call them back at their toll-free line *******940 but I did not respond because it was late at night and I was getting suspicious. Good thing I didn't call them back because after some searching on my own, I found a solution to my User account issue that had nothing to do with my system being corrupted! Also of note, I had to chat with a Norton Security tech the next day due to an incompatibility of one of my programs with their program, and when the Norton tech did a scan of my laptop, he did not find ANY viruses or problems with my system. I'm so glad that I did not get sucked into giving OmniTech any money because they provided totally inaccurate information about my laptop and appear to be a scam operation.

We are an independent Technical support company and we provide support for various software issues on computers with the help of our experienced technicians. We, at OmniTech Support, have thousands of customers who are in long time relationship with us and they are happy with our reliable support. Generally, our technician runs a free diagnosis on the customer’s computer to uncover the root of the problem as initial troubleshooting step. Some issues are obvious, such a help being needed in setting up a home network, but in others, the diagnosis may uncover registry errors or malicious software. We cannot create any “fake” errors, as we are using a respected 3rd-party diagnostic tool. Later our technician might convey the customer about the scanned results and possible errors on the computer. Anti-virus programs can vary widely in what infections they can block and as this customer obviously does not understand, they are not designed to discover corrupted registry errors.

In this instance, the complainer hasn’t revealed any details with which we can use to determine if this person is actually our customer in the first place, or a competitor who cannot match our quality and pricing who is trying to malign us. We invite this person to provide some more details like, date of supposedly contacting us, the customer ID he was given, or his email address, so that we can investigate further into this particular case. On this alleged situation we are unable to comment anything. We provide quality, affordable technical support, and always try to provide the best services to our customers. We have earned and maintained an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, which tells about our success story and trustworthy service at any point of time.

I hired Omni Tech Support for 6 months service and found the techs soooooo slooooow! Agonizingly slow. I did not continue the service. I got a call from 'Omni Tech' with all my personal account information that I had with Omni Tech, they verified themselves but were still frauds. Long story short, my computer crashes all the time and Omni tech's information leak has left me with a wrecked computer!

***In response to Omni Tech's comments.
The hackers had ALL of my private Omni Tech information so it was an info leak on their end, I did my due diligence in asking them to verify themselves.
Also, they are painfully slow, as in h o u r s...
And now that I have experienced good quality online help I can explain it to you. When I used Omni Tech their techs had access to my computer & could do whatever they wanted. They could do it without me seeing even if I was watching the screen. I'd never do that again. What I have now with my new computer, the support can only see my screen and have to ask me to make the changes and it only takes a few minutes. They're computer smart, work with just me & aren't trying to help other ppl at the same time, and get it done quick. Omni Tech, if you read this, you can update your service & do better by your customers.
Cheers ppl,
Natasha ~

This customer signed up with us on Jan 07,2014 for a half-yearly service plan by paying $569.99, which included unlimited technical support and the purchase of a Windows 8 Operating System. However, later we reimbursed $100.00 to her as she did not want the Windows 8 Disc.

During the subscription period we addressed the customer’s every issue and fixed those promptly and in timely manner. She checked on our work and confirmed the issue resolutions. Our technicians are not slow, as that would be in no one’s interest. Instead the resolution process might get delayed if perquisite circumstances are not available (Like: slow Internet speed at customer’s end, or after rebooting, the remote session is not connected back to technician, etc.).

On July 07,2014 her service plan with OmniTech expired. On August 16,2014 the customer called us and informed that she received a scam call from someone claiming to be from OmniTech Support, which was not true. She, then gave the access of her computer to those scammers after which her system kept on crashing and she faced other issues too.

WE ONLY CALL our existing customers when we’re trying to reconnect their computer. Or when an existing customer’s plan is about to expire. We don’t take credit card details again, since we charge the card you used at sign up, whose details are encrypted and can’t be seen by anyone in our company as per our Security norms. It was a scam call. We couldn’t leak her information.

This is a well-known scam that has intensified recently. Absolutely no one can tell if a computer needs an update or is infected, unless they have direct physical or customer-granted remote access to the computer. If someone calls with this claim, people should just hang up. This tech support scam that is making the rounds recently are from unscrupulous companies and individuals, that are calling people claiming that their computer is infected with numerous viruses and that the only way to prevent their computer from fatally crashing is to subscribe to their tech support services, so they can remove the threats. Sometimes, to lend credibility to their scam, they claim to be representatives of a leading tech support company, like we are.

However, out of courtesy, our technician looked into her computer, where she requested us to change password of her computer and to fix a Bit-Defender (her anti-virus software) issue. Our technician performed few troubleshooting steps, but the Bit-Defender issue could not be fixed except by Bit-Defender. Therefore, we requested her to contact Bit-Defender support to get the issue resolved. Also, we advised the customer not to take any unsolicited calls.

Again on August 28,2014 the customer called us and informed that she received one more scam call in name of OmniTech Support and now her computer kept crashing. Even though her subscription plan had expired, we assisted the customer through Power cycle (very basic troubleshooting steps) and informed the customer to get back once it was completed. Then the customer came back to us and our technician worked on her computer, but the chat got disconnected before we could complete the troubleshooting steps. On September 01,2014 the customer came back to us and we fixed the notification issue with Bit-Defender at no charge.
On September 09,2014 she called us and informed that her computer again crashed and now if we couldn’t fix it then she will go for refund. We worked on her computer and fixed her computer issue but she didn’t confirm the issue resolution and informed that she would get back after 20-30 minutes later. Afterwards, we called the customer three times but there was no response. Nevertheless, we closed her account and we did not try to contact her later.

Even after the customer’s service plan was expired, we worked hours on her computer and tried to fix the issue that was, indeed, not caused by us. We didn’t leak the customer’s information. There is no resolution we can offer to this customer at this point of time; except requesting her not to answer any unsolicited calls. Our process is very transparent and our policy & price are unmatched by others. We always want our valuable customers to be fully delighted with the service and value they get from us. That’s why we have earned and maintained an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.

Called to get help with one issue with my Video Player. He insisted on doing a scan of my computer using a program he installed called 'Smart PC Care'. I said okay. Suddenly 1444 issues, 2147 Privacy traces. He said he needed to fix it immediately and the charge to me would be $200. I said I needed to think about it. The hard sell came next. I said no, I need to think about it. Wanted to look up the company reviews. He said they would reduce the price to $137 if I would agree to the service right away. My fraud bells started going off loud and clear.

After 3 hours they told me the computer was fixed and I need a Microsoft program to protect my computer and wanted to charge me over $400 for it, I checked wit Microsoft - no such program. Told me if I wasn't happy I could get my money back. Their fix resulted in my not being able to restart my computer (of course then I couldn't contact them). Spent over $300 to get it fixed. I have been called multiple times saying they needed access my computer to refund my money directly to my bank account - - after previous experiences I said no access, I told them just to send the money. I have reported them to local, state, and fedral scam sqauds who indicated they have numerous reports concerning them.

These people should be ASHAMED of themselves... we simply wanted our Hotmail password reset and they asked for access to our laptop and were told, after wasting a LOT of our precious time, informed us and LIED to us that some awful hackers had compromised our system (a lie) and that is would take MANY hours of IT work to fix a PASSWORD ISSUE...!?!
Are they totally bonkers? BTW, all the "positive" reviews are total BS. They are probably making money from people who know NOthing about the realities of how computers work and what truly needs technical support. A new password reset does not entail $199.99 worth of tech support. Utter nonsense. I had to contact the REAL Microsoft Support, who charged me ZERO dollars and ZERO cents, and they were able to assist me in running two very deep security scans to clean and heal any and all virus' from this scam company. STAY AWAAAAAAY from them!
