Fraud

I placed an order on September 2nd and did not receive it until November 4th. I emailed with customer service numerous times askin when it would arrive as I was not told pre-orders don't ship out right away. Eventually I was told it was on back order. I then turned around and shipped it back for a full refund on November 5th. I checked my tracking number towards the end of November to see that they had already received my order and had it for roughly 2 weeks. I emailed customer service asking them about my refund and I was told that refunds don't take place until the beginning of the month. It is now December 18th and I have not received my refund. I have emailed customer service multiple times and keep getting told that they will look into it and process my return ASAP and they have not. I have messaged the owners instagram page along with the business Instagram page and they have "seen" it but have not replied. I commented on the fb page and they have now turned off my ability to comment on posts. I DO NOT recommend ordering from this company as they are not true to their word when it comes to returns/refunds. I wish I would have googled the reviews prior to ordering and it now makes sense why they don't have a review option on any of their business pages. Below is the last email I have received a response on and that was dec 10th.

I'll be happy to look into this for you, can you just help me understand before I look into this in the warehouse for you, did you ship the entire order back, and were you hoping for a refund or exchange on the item/s?

Not the best customer service

I ordered a pre order sweater on November 9th (was supposed to ship November 28th) I emailed them November 30th because it still had not shipped. They emailed me back and said it was delayed in production and said I would receive a tracking number once it shipped. On December 11th I still had not received this. I emailed them again asking if it will be shipped this week. They apologized and said it would be shipping out the week of December 11th and I will get a tracking number once it has shipped. I still didn't receive this by December 18th and no tracking status. I emailed them AGAIN asking what the hell was going on. They said it was delayed in production and they are working on getting it shipped. On JANUARY 17th 2018 I STILL did not have this sweater. Sooo I emailed them AGAIN asking for an explanation for why this still has not been shipped as the tracking details now said processing (but it was "processing for WEEKS) They said my order will be shipping in 5-10 days and apologized because quality is of the utmost importance to them apparently. So after 5-10 days and still no sweater I emailed them AGAIN on February. 5th asking where my order was or to just refund me for this sweater. The response was that my order will be shipping in the next few days. I waited a few more days and again nothing. I emailed them AGAIN on February 11th and this time I was not happy and made that clear. They said my order is processed and shipping and thanked me for my patience. A few days later after constant emails and bugging this company for 3 months for an order I finally did receive my order. I love the sweater and wore it ONCE and washed it. To my surprise when I pulled it out of the dryer the zipper was completely broken off. So if quality is of the utmost importance to them I cant seem to understand why this would happen? I may be able to get this fixed somewhere (at my cost) but I decided to email them about this because after waiting for 3 months and wearing this ONCE I was not happy (obviously). They said because this was washed they cannot refund me or exchange the sweater but they offered me a 10% discount LOL I got my 10% discount today and it was $4.06 SERIOUSLY? What a complete joke! For the hassle I went through with you guys with this sweater the LEAST you could do if offer to exchange my sweater. I would be humiliated if as a business owner that is how I handled this situation. Shame on you!

Not A Great Experience

I ordered from this company during their Cyber Monday BOGO sale. I received a code to access the sale a day early and made my purchase on the Sunday. In the Facebook Live video she indicated all items were IN STOCK and would ship out the NEXT BUSINESS DAY unless the item was marked PRE ORDER. I chose the fleece lined leggings and the boyfriend lounge pants. I was not going to order because my order did not include free shipping but decided to pay the $12 shipping charge because I was getting two pairs of pants for a reasonable price. I received an order summary right away confirming my order. I received a shipping confirmation four days later on November 30, which confirmed both of my items were on the way. Received another email that my items were out for delivery December 7, again showing both items. Received my order and only received the fleece lined leggings and the lounge pants were crossed off the packing slip, and indicated refunded no reason why. I was slightly annoyed and confused because all correspondence received indicated they had shipped both. I never received an email about a refund or anything (I did receive a refund though). Out of curiosity I went on the website and found the pants, in my size in stock and I could have ordered them (full price) -but I didnt (so it was not because they were out of stock). If I would have known I would have only received one pair I would not have paid $12 shipping to get them. It would have been nice to receive correspondence letting me know what was going on. I never sent an email as from what I have gathered from following the owner on Instagram is that they are human and it is what it is, they are not sorry, they are human and mistakes happen. I also dislike that they delete any negative feedback, so it appears everyone has great experiences. I read the reviews on this site before ordering but I also saw a local business rave about Obv Chic so took a chance. But after my order experience and following both the company and company owner on Instagram (since unfollowed), I will not order from this company again.

As far as a two star rating I had to give them more than a one star as the leggings I received were well made and very warm, I was happy with the quality. They also did refund me basically giving me half off the pair I did receive.

Ultimately, their lack of customer focus and lack of transparency are the reasons I personally will not order from this company again or subscribe to their subscription box. I do not feel my experience is a one off and that they try to filter these experiences out. Even if you do a search on Facebook of Obviously Chic it brings up public posts of people talking about similar experiences (not on the companys Facebook page though).

I do realize my experience is not horrible but the way they handled my order did not make me feel as though they valued my business. There was no apology or reason given with regards to my missing item.

Terrible customer service

I've ordered clothing from Obviously Chic twice. The first order I didn't have any issues. The clothing I ordered arrived within a week or so, and the clothes I received were what I ordered. The second time I've had nothing but problems. It was a BOGO pre-order. It was a week after it was supposed to ship, and I hadn't gotten a shipping notification. I got in touch with them, was told they had issues with their supplier and it would be shipping soon. I eventually received one of the two shirts I had ordered, and all I got was a handwritten note saying the second half would ship later. I waited a week, and after receiving no info I contacted the company again, as my order history on their website stated that I had received my full order. Again, I was told supplier issues and it would ship soon. When I finally got the shirt, it was the wrong shirt. I am now in the midst of trying to figure out how I can either get the shirt I ordered, get a different shirt, or get a partial or full refund. So far I have sent them 7 emails trying to get these questions answered. While they're responses are very polite, the fact that I've had to ask the same questions over and over, makes me think that they are very deliberately unhelpful.

When I originally ordered from them I read mostly positive reviews prior to ordering. In light of my experience this time I around, my thought was to leave a review and cut my losses. When I tried to do that I found that the review sections from their Facebook page and their website had been removed. I asked them specifically where I could leave a review, their response was that their Facebook page is "a place of positivity and to connect with customers". My thought in regards to that is that Obviously Chic created positive customer experiences, they would receive positive reviews. I think it's very telling, that after a google search of reviews on this company this is the only place that I could find them. They present an image of a small, local, customer service driven, "I'm just a normal girl trying to provide unique clothing" type of company. That may be how they started, but that's not the type of company they are now.

I do not recommend ordering from them.

In response to Obviously Chic's response: I did email your customer service, exhaustively, as per my account above. Posting this review was a last resort given my terrible experience with said customer service. In regards to your facebook page, my comments or very helpful to your prospective customers and should be openly received by your business as feedback to improve your business model. My comments are not unkind, simply a recount of my experience with you. If you view my comments as not being positive, I suggest you turn the lens back on yourselves ask how you could have provided a positive experience. And, since you brought it up, deleting comments and silencing voices does not lend itself well to connection or empowerment.
